I've got to take the MCAT (hopefully) next year. The whole application process for medical school will cost me a couple G's.

A few years ago, southern California experienced rolling blackouts almost daily, for most of the summer... those were retarded. It interrupted my day EVERY SINGLE DAY. If the idiots around here can't conserve energy, they'll force us to. Gah.

It was like that in Lahore(Pakistan) when I went last summer. Every day periods of no electricity/water. I don't know what has changed.

It's kinda weird considering Lahore is a very Westernized city. Western themed restaurants laden with vestiges of the past, Pakistanis dressed as cowboys.

'The word queer has traditionally meant "strange" or "unusual"' - Wikipedia, first line...

Doesn't seem like he's hating any groups here... I mean, the guy with the ball is unusual because he has the ball, right?

I know, I just felt like rufflin' feathers. But how many people(kids) do you know that use the word in that manner. 's all I'm saying.

Toki and Shuu; awesome.

I would like to see some action in some of these drawings. That would be quite interesting.

Shuu after all was born under the Jinsei (benevolent star). So he's not gonna fight much. Although his kicking style of Nanto Seiken is bloody awesome. (emphasis on 'bloody')

Maybe Souther? Give him a demonic smile.

When I was little(2 or 3) I wrapped myself in a blanket and went rollin' down the stairs. Had to get stitches on my forehead which have left a very visible scar.

When I was 12 or 13 I was runnin' UP the stairs, slipped and had my teeth go straight into my lower lip which left two bloody gaping holes in it. They almost went through to the other side.

When I was like 14 someone fractured my pinky and I didn't realize until I showed my mom how mangled and discolored it was. First I had that uncomfortable wrap around it for like 2 weeks. Then I got this badass awesome claw which made me look like a deinonychus. But then in the final weeks I had to just wear tape on my two fingers. Lame.

When I was 17, it was icy out and I ran to catch a passing bus but slipped and totally carved out the palm of my hand. That hurt a lot.

Yep, I'm from the UK.

But I havent listened to much of either of those. I usually stick to the more obscure/alternative stuff.

Much or none?

Not to be rude but what you posted isn't too obscure.

Show me some unusual stuff!

I was chopping Ridicio at work. The girl I work with started yelling something at me. Knife slipped, lost the end of my thumb. It really sucks. It is oddly flat at the end.

I also lost some of my hair after the BBQ at work exploded. My right eye doesn't have lashes anymore.

I also have a burn on my inner leg from where the pot I was carrying had a handle fall off. Ouch.

That's why I work at a nursing home. The most you get there is a scratch or a bruise. Never happened to me yet though. The old people love me.

At least they're remaking it properly. Like with 3d models and proportioned bodies. It's kinda refreshing.

Dissidia, as Niero of Destructoid points out, seems like it may be a melee type game with various characters from different games. Sounds like it could be cool.

It wasn't absolutely God awful. There were good parts. But the movie also has its fair share of bad parts as well. I felt that there was definitely more action in this one than the others. The others also felt more formulaic than the third one.

Spoiler:
The scenes with symbiote Peter seemed to be right out of 'The Mask' or 'The Nutty Professor'. So corny.

Some scenes were sloppy, rushed, and very cliche.

Spoiler:
When Pete exits the diner, he sees a smiling Harry who disappears after a car passes by. How is that possible?

I'd definitely like to see more Twilight Princess characters. What I'm HOPING is that there is a full update with characters, stages, etc. showing us that the selection isn't so limited. As of now, there ARE only ten confirmed characters. And there should be another third party character or two coming as well.

the only way this series can be revived is if they do a movie based on maximum carnage. (actually, you know what, fuck spiderman. Give Carnage his own movie.)

man that game was awesome. I haven't seen it yet, but due to everyone I know saying it sucks (and me having 0 moneys) I'll wait awhile and pirate it.

But really how can it suck if it has venom

I think he was referring to the arc in the comics the game was loosely based on.

And after a second go around roughly 10 years later, that game really isn't as good as I thought it was. How many times must you fight Carnage anyway?

Sam Raimi hated Venom as a character and a lot of the stuff from the movie(the general direction, enemies, etc.) came from a bunch of different ideas by people on the team.

Kinda the same thing as what happened with Batman and Robin.

I haven't played XI in forever but i usually used Terry, Kula, Jenet.

Also: Kensou

Yes! Kensou rocks. On my mugen I play as 97/98 Kensou over XI Kensou most of the time.

My team was almost always Ryo, Joe, and Terry. I never understood why albeit movesets change almost yearly in KoF, executing a move that hasn't changed is sometimes interpreted by mame as altered. Meaning: sometimes executing the same moves in different games on mame can be done differently although technically the process should be the same. (qcf + P in one game does a move for a character while in another game the same should hold true according to move lists and what not, but doesn't.)

I dunno. It's difficult, but when you can get a good "Ichi geki Issatsu!"(sp?) in, it helps. He's certainly less flexible but chains that work can be awesome.

The fact that Sakurai has begun the blog with stage structure leads me to believe that there is going to be a huge selection of stages. Most of the levels we have seen are the basic 'battlefield' style, and obviously, there will be other stage types; so it's possible that we will see a considerably larger selection of stages than before.

Dwedit: Yea but look at the textures that we saw in melee and now look at brawl:

The latter definitely looks prettier. And as you know, games look better running on the system than in a video or screenshot.

I was almost expelled from high school in 2002...if I was, I would have gotten a GED as well, if my dad didn't kill me.

So you didn't get a GED because your dad killed you? (I'm sorry I just HAD to)

I graduated from high school 2 years ago. College is only a little bit better but in order for me to get into medical school I've got to take classes this summer for six weeks at a time which sucks. The payoff will be nice though.

Are you referring to that beastly yell Link lets out when he does the super spin attack?(the fully charged one)

Hmm, now THERE's a bit of interesting info about Pit's arrows; "Players can control the curves of their trajectories."

This pic is bloody awesome:
