Based on your description, it sounds like you're dealing with LZ. Changing the "distance" value will scramble the data up something fierce, while changing literal-copy bytes will produce the same thing in RAM that's in ROM. |

A quirky bug I found with Rundas makes him stand there and not do anything. I don't know how to reproduce it, but I have the footage since I was recording the music. It took me a few seconds to notice he was just standing there, so don't laugh.

I'm rallying volunteers over at Justus 2 for an open-source F-Zero X level editor. The hacking of the game's level data is done, so the focus here is to make an editor as a community project. I'm telling you guys since I think there might be some people here who might want to help.
