With today being Mother's Day, at least it is here for me, you'd think someone would be more...appreciative and caring for their mother?

Oh, not my step brother. He goes above and beyond! And my post on the bottom was made minutes before he deleted this post. (Probably because he seen how terrible it made him look like)

I also added the comment "First World problems" because:
A: he has 10 pairs of freaking shoes! What the hell does a GUY need so many shoes...and yes, I made that same joke you are probably going to make.
B: he asks for like a hundred dollars each month or sometimes on a weekly basis. Seriously, she spoiled him waaaay to much.
C: Only someone this...special...would complain on a day for mothers.

And guess what? We don't even have that kind of money to just toss it to him like it is nothing. His dad gave him most of this mentality but it is just ridiculous to see this kind of filth.

Meanwhile my dad works his ass off to make just enough money to pay the bills, which would be less if my step brother didn't leave lights on as if they were his life support. At then at the end of the day, my father and I gave her a card and got her a neat gift to hopefully help her feel better.

So feel free to comment on how spoiled this step brother of mine is and also leave a story of your own. I just feel like showing this to someone.

And feel free to mention how you spent time this Mother's Day too since this is a double thread in one.

Now to find my debit card before the annoying pizza boy comes with my chicken italain pizzza..... L_L

Wait, is the chicken Italian or is it the pizza? This is a most important mystery to solve! It hasn't been solved for at least 4 minutes since I thought of it and I reckon we need to solve before I spend all my 2000 years up. Let's get Scooby and the gang! All we need to do is pretend the pizza is haunted or something.

Or maybe it was Luigi. I mean, he is tired of being in Mario's shadow and for good reason.

He would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those meddling Board2'ers.

The project is very interesting and no other editor had me this interested in anything other than LM in quite awhile. Glad to see that you still around. Yeah, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do so get in there and tell life who's the boss and have fun while making the most of it. College being over for me sure made it easier to work on my projects.

It was actually something that is suppose to take a month. I did in that amount of time because it was got too distracted and probably could have done a bit better. And even though I worked on it two hours, I had random ideas for my card game every other night so I really just put it all together.

So last Thursday I did my presentation of the final card game project and thought I did pretty good. Even though I practiced two times when I could have easily done more if people were around to play some games with me.

(And hi BH)

Yeah, the problem I have though is he usually treats her like this but he took it even farther than normal. Other than that time he punched a hole in the wall over something stupid.

Oh well, my dad and I managed to cheer her up and her daughter also came and cooked her a nice dinner. To my knowledge, he did absolutely nothing to this very day.

Back in my day, we didn't have any electronic threads to call stupid nor did we even have any threads at all. Yep, back then you had to find a thread and try to make it something to convey messages but I didn't know how to sew so it really didn't work out at all.

Not that it even worked nor was I that communicative back then. I'll just assume they all used those fancy things called letters and mail for awhile. It is just a fad. The future awaits.

Who knows what could happen to the Internet in the next decade?

The purpose is for improvising activity. And it is working.

Sadly it attracts some...negative aspects from those who don't know how to wing it. Although I still don't know how it went from 4000 years ago to me living for another 2000. And we haven't really solved the mystery. Luigi couldn't have done the deed. Obviously there is one answer: magic

If you don't know why then it must be magic. Perhaps the signs all point to the nay sayer.

Have a look at this scrydan, if your that old from way back in ancient times, what did you do in your yester-century life time ?

If you think about it, it wasn't a good time to be in when you really bad wars going on with other nations.

That was so long ago, I can't quite remember. There's been too many darned wars! I do remember asking George Washington if he would consider a clause that would prevent this prophecy about some corporation taking over the world. Sadly he didn't believe in the Internet and thought it would only be a fad.

I did talk to some other people about the prophecy. I may have to do some remembering. I think I had milk and cookies from 300 years ago and those cookies aren't nearly as good as nowadays for some odd reason.

I think the Spatula ate it all. You do need to be more careful. I have some cookies I could give you but they are at least 300 years old. Dragons from around Desteria are known to keep their cookies for a long time after all.

Tonight my friends, we dine in spatula!

Mind I ask what we get to eat? I haven't eaten anything good in awhile and no one wants to see a hungry dragon. Especially one who is actually a Kingrayon. Although I do have a lot more control than Spatula considering it ate 404 dozen boxes of cookies!

And Spatula takes cookies apparently. Well, perhaps it is time we make Spatula flip its behavior for once instead of stealing cookies. At this rate, I may have to put the 300 year cookie act into motion which makes us ration cookies for 300 years of pure spatula madness.

Well, for those who would like to look at some of the things I've done for my particular system:
(Note the class base stats and stat levelup modifiers aren't final. This is my current stats)

Working on the formulas to get this far was interesting. What I got planned so far for the stats you see:
Health is obviously how many points worth of damage you can take before you die. When you die, currently no punishment is taken except you are given a death count for all to see. Although if you die enough, it might be embarassing.
Powernite (Pwnite to fit, somewhat funny on how it looks) is mana/magic but related to my story. It is used for spells and abilities. Not all classes use powernite and in fact 3 classes don't at all. (Warriors see "Rage" and Assassins and Marksmen see "Energy".)
Armor increases reduction of physical damage taken.
Attack is the base damage you will do (combined with your normal attack and a weapon you have.) (Items are currently being reprogrammed to be equipped from inventory.)
Powernite Attack is the base spell damage you will do.
Vitality increases health by 5 points per each point of vitality from level 1 - 20 and 10 past that point until level 60 which changes it to 15. This is only based on stat curves I've seen from my experiments. (Currently not programmed to do anything.)
Intellect will increase Powernite by X points of intellect. It is also planned that in the RPG overworld that intellect can be required to do certain actions. Wizards, Magicians are best at these situations. (Currently not programmed to do anything.)
Strength will increase the base attack damage you will perform. It can also be required to have a certain amount for certain events in the RPG overworld. Warriors and Paladins are best at these situations. (Currently not programmed to do anything.)
Agility will increase the rate at which enemies will miss you by 0.0X% on a level basis. It will also increase the base attack for Druids, Marksmen, and Assassins. Some actions on the RPG overworld will require that you have enough agility. (Currently not programmed to do anything.)
Speed will increase the likelihood of you attacking first in battle. It will also dictate how far you can click on the map to travel on the overworld. (Currently not programmed to do anything.)
SIN will increase certain NPCs hostility while the darker types will more likely talk with you. There's several planned endings that will decide upon the SIN rating you get. Paladins and Medics get negative SIN to start with due to high morals while Wizards and Assassins get positive SIN to start with due to lack of morals.

I have plans for other stats but for now I want to keep it somewhat simple.
How currency is displayed isn't final but I've got it sorted like the above for the moment.

The overworld I have setup is planned to be some sort of grid-like system where you click where you wish to travel. You can only click a certain number of boxes away (some items can increase that) and see only a certain number of boxes (items can also increase this too). You can't click in walls or past doors without opening them (and you can't click in inaccessible areas, nor see them). Each part of the box grid will represent a type of flooring or wall. On top of them can be chests, NPCs, and more. There's plans for both random encounters and event encounters/encounters you can do by attacking an NPC. You have the option to attack any NPC in the game. Killing NPCs that are "innocent" or not proven otherwise will give you SIN. Killing wicked creatures will reward you less SIN. There are plans to have important key NPCs and bosses respawn but most "shown" NPCs on the map that you kill will be persistent so you can screw yourself out of a quest.

And there's much more. I thought I'd mention what I've worked on recently. The overworld part of the system is being programmed today as I just got the idea for it last night when I woke up. Funny how that works. I also thought up the inventory system too but it is also being reworked.

Edit: Mainly just posting these ideas to see how people like them overall because who knows? Maybe in the future they can be used here?

Now if only I can get more work done on my RPG system so I can show some possibilities off, if BH even likes the idea. I really do enjoy working on it regardless.

I've got plenty of plans and goals in mind.

I also think all of our religions need to stop fighting and live in peace.

I actually created my own little theory that most if not all are right and wrong in some sense and that we are all just fighting over the same meaning overall.

And I actually made another theory (for my story I am writing) that once all of creation was once one creature (just to clarify, they WERE created, not just appeared or whatever) that divided over time into other species of creatures (by divided, I mean as families go on, certain aspects were broken down and passed), overtime the "originals" either hid or went off into far lands. Then eventually everything split off even further and took part of the original believes and added their own to it thus creating different societies and whatnot. Something big happened and our world split off from the original and was sent into this dimension or something like that. In my story I am even developing an "original" language composed of several other major ones into one big complex one...but I haven't really worked on it much because I mainly speak English. I'd need some people to eventually work with me if I were to complete it.

Anyways, overall, I was born in a Christian family but I was always okay with what people wanted to do with themselves and their views. However, I used to be fairly strict with my own until a bit later and realized that I had this system and needed to feel free in it. I just felt that I was forcing myself on certain issues so that changed about a year or so ago. As for my total "structure" of beliefs, I am not too sure exactly. I've undergone many changes to be honest.

Lots and lots of debugging, mostly. This is the first I've heard of JPEG being used in an SNES game as well; I was quite surprised when I compared the SOM algorithm I had already traced 75% of the way through and they matched up almost exactly.

"Handle" is a flexible term I suppose.. it does take it around 20 seconds to generate the full image. It starts decompressing when the Squaresoft logo is up. Notice when the screen first comes up, it opens a little window to part of the background--the part it's managed to decompress so far. Once it's done, the music picks up and it opens the rest of the way.

Wouldn't be surprised if they stylized it this way just to hide the fact that their algorithm takes so long to generate the background.

So is this why when you fly with Flammie that the one map takes like forever to load bit by bit when you decide to look at the big map?

I've always thought it to be interesting on why it loaded so slowly.
