It's impressive everything you are doing, don't get me wrong. I encourage you to keep it up. It's just that if you keep adding more and more like Link's Awakening, you'd be better off simply hacking Link's Awakening, since everything is already there.

This is so wrong... Why don't you hack Skyward Sword then? It has 3D and many new game elements are already there...
If you don't want this hack looking like a LA clone just use other sprites.

Keep it up!

Wow, so much rewritten or addes asm... really well done! I especially like the save highscore feature. If this would be present in the GB version I would have to remove the GB from the bathroom if there are visitors.

Could not find the sword but had some fun with bombs
It looks amazing. I had some slowdowns here and there but I guess its because I play this on a Wii. I could not jump down a screen from the bombshop (beach) and was not able to open the chest near the shop.

Keep it up.

While it looks much more lively with the stuffed rooms it sometimes is too much. See http://sphotos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/270250_399723536777526_1844274469_n.jpg
The transparent passages will be fixed i guess.

Besides that this looks incredible

Nice! Good work.
Seeing this I get the wish to edit the game and I don't even like the metroid series much. The last screenshot gave me the idea to make a 'brighter' kind of metroid (more like megaman 8 maybe).

I have found a bug. When I create a new project after having one already open the editor still shows the changes I made in the old project (eg palette change) and it displays graphics wrong (eg when chaning composite map).

I think I found some more bugs.
I tried the "new game" door feature the first time. Entering door 82 will get you right to the first playable map (128). Since I misunderstood the explanation I entered door 256 first... I should have landed on map 348 but did not.
Another thing I noticed was a displayissue of map 256. Just out of curiosity I was taking a look at map 256 and it is not displayed right in the editor. Wrong displaysettings? Changing them will enable you to see the waterfall but not the tree the three guys are standing on.

Another thing that looks not like a bug but some wrong understanding of me is the following. Setting the palette set in map 128 to 77 will give you a winter setting with some odd colors but this can be changed by editing the palette itself. The thing I do not understand is that some tiles are blinking (changing their color) when I look map 128 with palette set 77 ingame. Why is this so?

And another thing I don't understand is what the second palette number in the palette editor means or changes.

I was playing around a bit and found some bugs. Using mousewheel in the eventwindow will close the program. After canceling (cross not cancel button) the Add Command Dialog in the eventwindow you cant edit events anymore. I was adding an enemy (object, rabbite) to map 128 but its graphics were messed up.

And I have some questions I would like toe skip the cinematic at the beginning and jump directly into the waterfall scene. I tried this by removing any entry in the event 400 except for "Jump to event x106". The waterfall scene starts but everything is black except for the textboxes besides that the player is invisible after the game starts. Whats was I doing wrong?
The other question is a feature request^^ Could you build in a back button in the eventeditor and make the events clickable? It would also be great to have a flowgraph to see the connected events but this is wishful thinking.

About the crash when using mousewheel in the eventwindow. It happens on every event. Just scroll up and down a bit with the mousewheel and the applications closes without warning.
Another thing. I tried to chage the NPCs in the first cutscene (map 256) by edtitng their graphics set attribute. Besides showing up with a wrong palette it worked well but I can only choose enemy graphics.
Oh, and by changing Layer 1 and 2 tiles on map 256 I messed the graphics up and even after setting it back to its default value everything was scrambled and the controls were gone (all controls on the contents tab). This happened only once though and I were not able to recreate this error.

PS. Leaving the doorway in worked. Somehow I missed this...

"Quantities, and now I really mean quantities of materials disappeared when the CD-format was discontinued, says Tanaka. We had to redo the game from scratch. I think almost half of what should have been there from the beginning had to be removed."

Just wow.
