The black border can be limiting tho. You sacrifice some detail if you add black borders to everything. I think it would be nice if all GFX tried the no black border approach. It would be a unique look I think.

I never seen it before, and it's pretty damn impressive. It gots to take some dedication to not only draw up everything, but the do whatever the hell else you have to do to make into a movie.

I only made it to Olrox's level so far but I like what i see. The new music makes it feel alot different. Some of it is a bit catchy. It's good that optomon saw your talent Dr Mario,cause u guys make a good pair. U guys should tackle another project together, if u can find another game worth hacking. Hopefully a Castlevania one.

I think I have this rom. Actually for quite a while. I have a popular youtube video displaying the last level. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M73ReyCWsnI

In my rom bowser takes about 9 hits. And I've been giving the rom to anyone that pm'd me in Youtube, I don't link it in the comments tho, cause I guess I don't want the link for it distributed. If anyone wants the version I have I guess I can give out the link if u pm me here, or on youtube.

Even if It did begin development on the NES I doubt that this is the proto. Remember the SNES proto shown in early game mags looked a bit different than what is shown in the final. Racoon mario, Largely different overworld. This one is more like the current SNES game than the proto shown in magazines.

I've liked Datacrystal too. Those spambots are way out of control tho. It is kinda discoraging against wanting to view the latest edits to the site cause it's often spam rather than anything useful.

I hope you do decide to go with 16-bitized Zelda 2 graphics for the overworld. It would be easier to simulate Link walking thru some trees with Z2 graphics, rather than having one large tree. I just think it would look better.

He could always place the trees and mountains in areas where he won't walk. That's what he was gonna do with those trees anyway, make them unwalkable tiles. Otherwise it looks like in one screen he can only fit about one or two trees.
