The morons running this little shindig are too stubborn to merge.... not to mention the boards use two different code bases.
If it where up to me we would simply close this board down and move back to ||board. |

I'm still using an old winamp version from jan 06.... just because I was sick of updating for all the damn security updates. |

Posted by TaralePosted by Xeon Hmmmm, a massive heat sink. If it's not too late to try this I would try cleaning off the top of the graphics chip completely along with the heatsink, putting some glops of thermal paste in the center, spread it around so it coats the top of the chip evenly. Also make sure the fan is working properly, it could just be overheating. Also if the heat sink isnt making proper contact with the chips, they could be overheating as they first starting up, causing the problems you describe. But if it was allowed to overheat for too long then it might have cooked the chips, assuming it was overheating at all. Also an interesting article on the PMU and how to reset it. I'm good with script security, I should know since i've hacked Acmlms several times back in 2005/2006.
I'm beginning to think the real security problem here is the human element and not the security element. |

You should just buy a new hard drive....they are so cheap now it's not even funny. You can get a 300 GB for under a 80 bucks.
But things that might take up space are if the old XP installation folders weren't deleted. Also try clearing your temporary internet files as those can take up immense amounts of data. You can also delete temporary files in Disk Cleanup. Also note that the Recycle Bin takes away 10% of your drive space, and System Restore also may take up to 12% of your drive. |

All hail the all mighty WORD, with its valued capacity of 65,535.
or might we call you the ushort, unsigned short YAY!!!!!!! While where at it, lets also thank the mighty DWORD, for without your large 32-bit operating capacity, I wouldnt be able to store anything above 4,294,967,295. And for those of you with 64-bit operating systems, the mightiest of them all, the king and champion of the world, the QWORD, you top the scales with your large max of 18,446,744,073,709,551,615. |
