Just wondering because I'm writing a Class Library that will support various graphics formats for different games and systems, sorta like Lunar Compress only for .NET. I'm just looking for some input on what compression algorithms and graphics formats people would want.

Sometimes when my light is turned to a certain amount of dimness, I hear this distinct ringing in my ear. And back when cell phones where a new thing, I used one and was getting dizzy, ringing in my ear, and feeling like I was going to puke.

I just took some InuYasha image, cut him out, made a gradient match with his hair in the background, added a small border around it and then put my handle on it

You sound like your having Power Supply, or overheating issues with the processor.

1. I would definitely open your PC up and try blowing all the dust out with canned air. You should always clean the dust out of your PC every 6th months at least.

2. Also make sure that all the fans are running properly, leave the side of the case off to observe.

3. Also check for any rapid grinding, scraping, or clicking coming from your hard drives, it could be the S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) info triggering the motherboard to shut off. You should be able to get your S.M.A.R.T info with this program (Western Digital Diagnostic Program). It's from western digital but it should work for other brand drives. I think I remember it working with a Maxtor. Just look at the thresholds and see if anything is not within its normal threshold.

4. Check the motherboard for blown capacitors. A simple guide can be found Here. Basically blown capacitors look kinda bloated on the top, or they have fluid leaking out the bottom.

5. Check to make sure you don't have some faulty RAM. Download the ISO for this program (memtest86) from Here. I would personally let it run 5 to 10 passes, and if you see any errors, then your ram is probably faulty.

That's about all the troubleshooting I can think of for right now, just run down that list and try everything until the problems stop.

Long ago in a far away land was a baby was born into the world with dark powers, although he was dark, he was lost from his village and cast into the world. He was found by some Light magic people, and they where good magic... they took the dark magic baby in as there own . Anyway he knew that he was different and was harassed and crap for a couple years...yada yada...and then the village is under attack from the dark magic people, and the dark magic dude is like all grown up now.. and he blasts all of his own people away in a furious blast. And then he is outcast by his village because they now feared his furious power.

You know I'm not good at story telling... But I mean this sounds like a cool story in my head, if only I could get a real story out on paper.

I swear, energy efficient products really suck. We recently got a new air conditioner last year, and the stupid thing can't even cool are damn house like the old one could. This one also tends to run 24/7 because of it's lack of being able to cool our house. Moral of the story? New energy efficient air conditioner uses up more energy then the old one and doesn't cool the house that well.

Then there is these energy efficient toilets, they made them smaller then the old toilets to conserve water...but all it really does is cause you to flush more because if you don't you will clog the toilet with only the smallest amount of paper and shit. Fortunately we have the original energy inefficient toilets in our house....but I've used them at other peoples houses and they suck.

These companies evidently just don't get it...

Wow this thread is full of loss.

My apartment has an EE AC and it worked like a gem last summer. It is probable that you guys didn't do your research and bought a crappy model. It is also probable that 95% of the entire consumer base of any given demographic are woefully under-prepared for making large purchases like that.

As for the toilets - I've never had a single problem with low flow toilets. It all depends on the width of the opening, if you catch my drift. If it is poorly designed, then yeah, probably your fault for not looking at alternatives.

Good day.

Well we had an air conditioning expert with 30 years of experience come in and suggest the air conditioner we should get. He was also family, so we thought he would pick a winner..... guess not. This new air conditioner also sounds like a jet airplane engine it's so incredibly loud.

Just because someone is family, doesn't mean they're the best in their field.

I still would think 30 years of experience would make someone an expert of there trade.

30 years can also mean that they are stuck in a status quo and have lost track of newer technologies.

A compelling argument... I sorta do think this guy was a retard.

Infinite Mario Bros

I stumbled across this gem while looking for open source Mario engines. It actually randomly generates the overworld and levels. Pretty amazing if you ask me. This has to be one of the best coded engines i've ever seen.... it's really almost like playing the real game despite having a few things off. The mushrooms comes up too fast from the block....and it runs a little fast.

I gave both boards an honest and fair trial period, and to be honest I like this board much better. There seems to be more positive energy in the air here, and the seemingly random behavior makes this place funner. Anyway, I'll probably just continue to hang out around here, it's not as if there is much activity over at that other board.

That is pretty odd, are you sure that the file didn't become corrupted when you sent it to Ninetale. Otherwise i'd say that there is some sort of problem on Ninetale's computer. There could be a very rare chance that s/he doesn't have the VB6 runtime.

I like gummy worms, but sometimes when I eat them my teeth begin to really hurt and I have to stop eating them.
