Hey, I've been following the rumors about this for a while, and now Okibi from www.ratedo.com is holding a contest (Project Zero), and the grand prize is a copy of the ROM. On the contest page, there's a link to the original article, and at the bottom of that page is a link to the zipped file, only it's password protected with the answer to the Project Zero question. I almost have the correct answer, the answer is another name for "The Sacred Realm". Any help?

***EDIT*** Wikipedia says "The Golden Land", but it won't work, or the file's corrupt. I gotta go to work, but I'll investigate more later. But if anyone finds out more...

Bit of a late reply, but PQ, and Lumines are great gamed. Frantix is fairly cool, but the sound effects are very annoying. It also has the GTA's, and if you use Edison Carters Ceat Device with it, it adds lots of fun. Best I can say for now. Oh yeah, it's got Lemmings too, and also use it for emulator use!!!

Hmmm. well I e-mailed Okibi a couple more times since, in the last email I wrote:
"So... is there more to this riddle that I didn't get, or is this the "Grand Prize"?? What is it exactly This just appears to be a corrupt Zelda 1 ROM..." And he replied:

"Yes, there is more to the contest then the one question. The rom that
you have is a hint, not the prize. You must figure out what to do next.

-okibi"

That's the most I got out of him, but I don't know what to believe anymore.

I don't know much about how this all works. Does anyone know if there's a chip inside the Wii that runs all the VC games, or is it a game built into a Nintendo made emulator? Either way I could foresee a program that would allow your average ROM to be playable with the built in Wii hardware through a homemade program. Or if the VC systems aren't built into a chip in the Wii, once you could seperate any game from it's possible emulator (or even use a homebrew emu), you could have a program that would take any ROM, and form a "new" VC title with no encryption. But then again, I don't know how any of this works, so this is all strictly theoretical.

Yeah, I saw that hint on the BS Zelda forums too. Anyway, I took a page that talked about the shinto and the triforce (http://forums.nintendo.com/nintendo/board/message?board.id=zelda&message.id=1550994) and rephrased it, and this is the reply I got from Okibi:

Wow! That sure was a nice read. No matter how many times I read it, it's still
good. Everyone even seems to give me a different version as well!

Anyways, did you find what's "hidden" in the symbol? You need to link (no pun
intended) that to the story you gave me and apply it to the zelda series to get
the next hint.

-okibi
--------------------------

So this may lead to another webpage of his. I just posted the story thus far at the Zelda Universe forums, so maybe people there can come up with additional info.

I'd try it if I knew how. But may be a good way to approach this. But remember, he said somewhere that there is no download link. He will send the winner the ROM directly. But that could get us most of the way!

Ok, so Okibi wrote this hint in the BSZelda forums earlier today:

"Hmm...

Need another hint? Again, only for the BS Zelda visitors!

If you've managed to extract the hint from the last post I made here, then you should have 3 things to guide you.

If that second item is something you don't understand, it involves the relation to something, or someones. It's kind of a three-way connection.

So... if you go the clue in that third hint, what in the world could that 3rd portion be referring 2?

I'll give you another hint. Rated O has something about 6. Can you find it?

-okibi"

Thhe Troma films are great. I can't tell you how many times I've seen Citizen Toxie. But a few other great horror comedies I could mention are Cabin Fever, Howling 3, any of the Silent Night Deadly Night movies, also The Lost Skeliton of Cadavara was great!

Zeldafreak in fact is a Rated O member. His only post is this:

"Why was my contest taken down? Is it because I left rated o? Put it back up okibi!"

His profile doesen't say anything. Maybe I should contact him, maybe this was his contest, or part of it?

Well, I emailed the zeldafreak from rated o to see if he had any info, also a dude from some Zelda Freak website that came up on google. No response yet. But I should point out that when I translated the mesage, it wasn't all cut and clear. The image I attatched show how it was directly translated, and may contain some clues. (NOTE: the letters in red, there are always 2 of them, equal 1 Hylian symbol, the letters in blue are not directly translated, but the only letters that fit in place) Also Okibi may know some Japanese (I'm not for sure, but I remember reading something a while back that pointed to this), so there's the possibility of some coded japanese text, but again, I'm not for sure.

Just remember that Okibi's old end date for the contest, April 5'th (4/5/07), was a clue to step 6.

Sorry, maybe I jumped to conclusions too fast there. In the BS Zelda forums, he says: "I'll give you another hint. Rated O has something about 6. Can you find it?" As far as I can remember, the only change to the site was the "end date", and when he wrote in his first post here: "NOTE: The End Date is NOT an actual end date, but a hint date. Everyone who finished step 3 by that date gets an extra FINAL hint. Can you do it?" I assumed the date was the hint itslf. But that may have been the hint he was referring to in the BS Zelda forum, or not. Either way, I don't think anyone here has the hint to step 6 he spoke of.

I know I emailed the "zeldafreak" from rated o a while back, and asked if he knew anything about the contest, and I got no reply. So he could have got it, and I just didn't say the right thing. Did anyone try asking him for the URL yet?

I guess I didn't "e-mail", but I sent a message through my Rated O profile. Anyway, I'm not sure how to approach this. I can try looking into zeldafreak more via other websites, but that would probably be a waste of time. I should probably put all the facts and hints in front of me and see if anything pops out. Hopefully there will be a last minute, or final hint at Rated O or BS Zelda forums that will crack this.

Remember Okibi said that the winner will be announced on the 26th, so maybe someone won it, or he's only accepting answers, not saying if they're correct or not?

I already have those games, so I went with Batman and Street Fighter 2010.

Also, how many people from here entered in that contest? I was a bit surprised when I actually won. I did jump on it as soon as possible, which was a day after the contest started, so I had about 5 entries into it.

Yeah, I entered. Sorry I've been out of the loop. My computer got a virus from "NDS-ROMS .com". Yeah, DON"T GO THERE!!!

Anyway, sucks no one got it, but I still have some faith. And Okibi, sorry you're getting flamed here, but realize that we're not all in on it together so don't take the comments too personally, I know you don't.
