It seems to me that SMA4 level editor is not happening since the project started in 2007 and it is now 2011

Not my fault if life comes in.
I'm planning Solar Magic Advance 0.5.
(0.4 is kinda lame)
It will do some Level Editing, but don't expect a Lunar Magic-like.
That will be for 0.6 (where Solar Core will begin).

Sounds cool
Hopefully it won't get cancelled like that other editor
also maybe you should keep the power up functionality

OK i started learning how to hex edit SMA4 and hacked classic world 1-1 level card


i hope someone releases a level editor soon so its easier for everyone to create and edit levels Solar Core 0.6 sounds promising

Yes edit .level then insert it using sma4savtool or Solar Magic Advance (Note: you will notice its alot easier than editing normal levels)

Also i would like to see your hex edits

SMA 0.5 will be in this style, and Solar Core won't be used yet.
I planned however a simpler GUI, and can make new level cards of nothing.
Also, C# will be used.


How is the development of Solar Magic Advance going

I realize that hacking SMA4 has came to a halt but i just noticed that on the box of SMA4 there is a picture of the beta version of Vegatable Volley and instead of getting a fire flower you get the goomba's shoe

And since nintendo left the code in you can easily change one byte to get it into the level


Although the shoe did appear in a japan only level world-e level i do find it interesting how the beta levels orignally looked

What are you talking about? Are you referring to MushROMs, Acmlm's SMB2USA editor or SMB3 related?

There are 2 SMB3 Editors for SMAS but they are not in full capacity. So I have to use SMB3 Workshop to edit the NES levels before putting to my SNES rom.


I am taliking about any SMB3 level editors for SNES or GBA version of the game as SMB3 for the NES is really limited
