Hey, just small update




As i said I'm going to remade some of levels that I made. For now I decided to change Drill Man, Ring Man and Toad Man, mainly graphically. Those two i just finished last days. I'd like to ask you for opinion which one you prefer (I mean do you like older version of those stages or this one on screens).

I'm changing some levels mainly because I need to improve some graphics, but it also allows me to notice some glitches or bugs so i can delete them quickly.

I got small request about those levels. I need someone who can record a clip for me of those two stages. If anyone can, I'd upload that what i had already done.

This hack is a big challenge for me because i screw up some bosses and now i need to make them work fine. I got same problem when I was working at Mega Man Project Peace but now I decided to finish this hack.

The best info i think is that there is progress in hacking music. I tried to change Bright Man theme into Spark Man theme. The only problem I had is with loops and breaks. I'm not sure what it is, how it works and how to find them in data of channel (for ex. Square 1). But soon I'll have more time to study that so i think that there's big chance you hear custom music in my hack.

PS: Anyone have idea how to make glidable floors works on every level?

This is something that I was worked at last time. I decided to redone some stages (mainly because they were a bit glitchy), but some still need to be redone. I'm going to remake Toad Man stage totally, and make some small cosmetic changes on Skull Man, Bright Man and Dust Man stages (enemy placement, screen viev etc.) After that I'll move to King Stages and Wily Stages. From King I remake probably all stages (except last one and maybe first one), and from Wily only 2nd and maybe 3rd a little. Here's link for demo of current version:

Those stages that I redone shouldn't have any glitches now (except glitch on Ring Man - glitch with boss live bar), but if you notice any just let me know about them.

Here is a small ASM hack for that. If you change the following ROM locations to these values, that will do it:
782E0: A9
782E1: 08
7939F: A9
793A0: 08
793EB: A9
793EC: 08

In the MegaFLE X editor also, i implemented a patch for applying this hack, which can be found in the Patches window. ( Other > Patches in the menu). You don't see the patch selections though, until you open the Dropdown list at the top of the window.


I've done this but it didn't work. I mean i think glide floor can only work on one level with Rain effect as well. There's data on 792E6 wich decides on wich level both effect works. Is there anything that I can do with that, because I want to make glidable floors on Wily stages.

PS: Anyone know where to find sound engine in Mega Man 2? I'd like to know because i want to change some sound effects from MM4 into those from MM2.

PS2: I got finished next stage of Mega Man 3 REM (Gemini Man) and I'll try to post clip of it.

Just a quick question. Is there any way to get rid of "be behind foreground" effect in Toad Man stage - i need to delete it on every screen since I redesigned whole stage.

On a few days I'm going to record next video soon (since almost all stages all redone - just need to do small changes at Skull and Dust Man stages). Than I'll change music on few stages and I'll upload next demo soon (with all robot master stages redone + custom music).

I get busy and that's what I've done for now:



I've altered Bright Man stage. Just need to polish a bit Toad Man and Dust Man stage a bit. Than there will be new demo avaible to download.

I'm working a LOT at custom music. There are two pretty long themes that I want to my hack to contain - King Tower level and King Battle. It will take me a long time to program it, but be sure I'll do this.

I also altered Cossack Map into King Map. Here's result:



What do you think about that?

I'm certain this is an emulator issue with the emulator I'm using, but whenever I try to start up the game and pick a stage, the "Stage Start" screen is wiped off and I get a glitched Wily Castle intro, followed by Wily Stage 1, which I cannot beat as there are doors blocking off the exit.


May I ask wich emulator you use. I'm wondering too where the problem could be, I use FCEUltra and I don't have problems like that. And what version of my hack (demo) you use?

Boy oh boy... Don't you think that this castle could look better? Also it lacks walls between the towers.
Depending on my mood, I may edit it or not.


I tried to do something with that but it seems to be more complicated than it looks like. Not only I have to use right pallete (and there some limits) i will have only about 3-4 frames for that (because Castle tileset uses almost all of space).

Anyway I got a moment today to do something with King stages. Here's the result:




What do you think about Redone King Tower 3?

I don't shown the boss because It got glitched. First form don't create projectiles and the second one stuck in a corner just right after leaving the door. And about music I've used I'm going to write it down in hex code and use in hack (as King 2&3 stages).

I got also small request for all. I just need idea for King 1 & 2 stage. If you have any and it would be intresting, I'll try to involve it in hack.

This is my third (and hope that last) attempt of remaking Dust Man (second you didn't saw - i planed to use unused Spring Man tileset but didn't work well). Now I decided to turn Dust Man into air themed robot. Hope you like it.

PS: I need some help with remaking some themes into 8-bit. I mean I need a composer who's good at Famitracker or pttone. Maybe there is site when I can ask people to help me out with that.

Last stage that left me to redone is Toad Man. I got some sketches for it (even whole stage redone) but it isn't looks fine. Maybe you have some ideas how to make him water themed robot master (such a place where the Toad Man could be).

Yeah, I slow down a bit, got some work at college. But I plan this year to relase demo. It will contain all robot master stages redone, some of King and Wily stages redone too and some custom music as well.

Hey, sorry that I didn't write for a long time - I was pretty busy with my college. Anyway I want to let you know that this project is not dead. I recently started working again on it. Here is small preview of new King Fortress 2.

If anyone have idea how boss could look like I'm open for it.

I'm going to put video soon showing some changes I did from last time.

It will take me some time to finish this - my major task is to change whole music. I just need to read again every document I have about it.

About stages I don't have many work to do. Just need to rework Pharaoh, Toad, Skull, King Fortress 1, Wily 2 and Wily 4 stages. Mostly it would be small changes.

I'll put demo soon to show you my current progress. Any sugestions and informations about bugs will be nice.

I worked once on creating some Mega Man hack but it didn't turned out well. Now I'm back with something a bit diffrent but I belive it's worth to be seen:



Mario Forever Minus Worlds is a project I'm working on for about one year. It's kind of a sequel to other fan game: Mario Forever made previously by buziol. This time it contains more custom and crazy stuff, some you have never seen.
So far I've created 6 worlds, more are to come about, I belive that relase date will be in summer this year.

This game is created in Multimedia Fusion 2.
