I've got a small complaint.

Why did you bother to jack up Anti-Guy's evasion so high? It doesn't at anything to the difficulty and just makes the boss rush version tedious.

By the time you fight him anyway you can get him doing next to zero damage if you know what you're doing, so all the higher evasion does is waste time. Something's wrong when I missed 14 times in a row (counted, literally 14). Still beat him with no issue, but still.

Haven't actually started the fight against the spoilers boss after that, but I did psychopath it. Out of curiosity, is that HP count correct? One of the numbers were red instead of the usual blue.

This may be something you don't want to post, but I'm having a little trouble finding a couple things.

I've done virtually everything prior to continuing farther into the Factory (yes, that includes boss rush, the boss at the end of boss rush, and Culex).

I've found nearly every new equipment. However, while I have the Old Claw, I'm not sure where to trade it for the Dragon Claw. I also can't find Bonetail normally, I've only beaten him in the boss rush area. And I don't have the new hammer, but I've a feeling that's either somewhere in the Factory or a reward for jumping.

And I thought Tyrek's Plate (I probably messed up that name badly) was suppose to be the new frying pan? When it said I got that, I actually got the Forbidden armor.

Any chance you've got a list of the new bosses so I can tell if there's still some I'm missing?

I am level 30, I'll find Bonetail (figured he was in the Volcano), I'll check Moleville, and the plate was an error. I did just get it in the factory, but when you beat Culex, it says you received the plate even though that's not even close to the item you receive.

And other hint on the Hammer?

Also, any super boss I'm missing?

I've beaten:

Harliequin
Amzee Dazee
Master
Anti Guy
"spoilers"
treasure trio
Culex

and I know of Bonetail.

No problem. Not that it's far to easy, I'm used to challenge runs of rpgs. SMRPG at level 8 without Lazy Shell, FFVI at level 20, FFX with no sphere grid, etc. This is tough (or at least it was til I hit 30 and got the new equipment), but not as tough as some of those.

Don't suppose you've got a hint for Stone Mammoth and Dark Bahaumt? I've got a feeling it's probably an enemy in Bowser's Castle and and enemy in Factory, but fighting everything is a pain >.>

Looks like the Hammer was as I predicted, haven't taken the time to do that yet.

Also, got the Dragon Claw and wrecked Bonetail.

The temple? Oh, that room eh? I had a fleeting thought that something might have been hidden there, but dismissed it shortly after.

And I don't really think that the main game needs tweaking, a good portion of the old bosses are much more difficult in the right kind of ways. And while I think you did a great job coming up with and creating the super bosses, several of them aren't really difficult, they just require the right equipment. Don't get me wrong, the hack is awesome and some of the super bosses are the perfect kind of difficulty (spoilers, revamped Culex, Treasure Trio, Amzee Dazze), some are a bit lacking.

Spoiler:
Harliequin can only hit one target at a time so enough Pick Me Up's let you beat him at lower levels.

Master will kill you in one hit with Bombs Away everytime and gets to attack more times per turn as his health gets lower. But once your Def goes over a certain point, he literally cannot harm you for more then 20.

Anti Guy is the same way, unless you hit him with a spell. I like that idea, but he's still really easy.

And I can't say I've seen those video's, I generally like to come up with my own strategies for stuff like that. The fun's kinda sucked out of it if I'm just copying someone else. Still, having done it myself, I'm always impressed with people who've managed that.

No problems. Also, just did 100 jumps (countless hours of practice on the regular version helped far to much here) and got another minor text error. I was supposedly given the Super Suit twice and nothing else, even though I got the special dialog and got the right items.

Also, bit bigger issue: I just traded my shiny stone for a safety ring. The game said I got the ring and I lost my Shiny Stone, but I didn't get a Safety Ring, and I did have space for it.

Alright, realized that I beat Dark Bahamut awhile ago and just wrote him off as part of the trial as opposed to a separate super boss. Beat stone mammoth and such, so I'm off to finish the game now. Pretty sure I've done everything in it at this point. Like I said, great hack, very well done.

He was, but you're misunderstanding that just because I found some bosses easier doesn't mean everyone will. Like I said, I've had a ton of challenge runs in other games prior that gave me plenty of experience for this type of thing. If you make the game harder for someone who already thrives on this type of thing, then most people won't want to play it.

Plus you've gotta keep in mind that fact that something that's unbeatable outside of luck is just terrible. The ideal challenge is one that can be beaten with a proper strategy or preparation prior.

Seems reasonable enough to me. Just keep in mind that if you made them tougher normally, you may want to adjust those battles in the boss rush, depending on the new difficulties.

Honestly, I think the only reason those bosses needed any touching up was it was possible to completely shut them down with high enough defense.

Anyway, those last 2 super bosses don't need anything making them harder. Between the two... I'd probably put Culex at slightly harder, but to be fair, he did have 5 targets.

Also, you may want to tone done one or two attacks on "spoilers" That red/blue/green lights flashing attack that does base 750? Yeeeeaaah... I don't think anyone can legitimately get that much health and since stats don't effect how much it does, the only chance you have is to have someone with a def boost alive at the time. Since that boss has Dispel, Red Essences are pointless and those boosts only last until you die.

I do think Master is going to be tough to balance properly. True, a high defense stat completely shuts him down, but if you give him something that breaks that, he's get's 3-5 turns to crush you.

Also, I'd really recommend putting in some kind of warning in Bowser's Castle in the 6 red door room. The 2 battle ones are only going to happen if you've started getting the extra items.

Missing does make some enemies a bit more difficult, I agree. The evasion rate of "spoilers" was perfect. I still think the evasion rate of Anti Guy was dumb though.

Culex was taken down through the use of all my remaining Kerokero Cola's, Victory Toasts, and one or two Red Essences when the battle got into a tight spot. Peach and Bowser started the battle with Psych Bomb and Crusher seeing as how they can both do upwards of 1400 on everything but the life crystal. Mario played healer for the most part.

I'm assume his main one is the spoilers boss I keep mentioning. Trying not to ruin that one for others.
