something i've been working on in my spare time. it's only a viewer at this point.

To quote the movie Billy Madison:
GOO!

Yeah, you pretty much need to keep working on that. It's looking really great.

I haven't looked at the smc yet, but I think your story needs a little work (which I'm sure you plan on doing anyways). I actually have a couple ideas I can bounce off of you, and give you some pointers to writing a story if you'd like, but the biggest thing is I think you should change a couple of names. Nebulon 5, and Shadow just seem like really stock names. I think you should come up with something a little more original for those. The ideas I got are just some ideas to develop Spike's character a little bit, then again you'd totally need cutscenes to do that, and I don't know if you're going to be able to do that or not.

I dunno, I'm just coming from a film student's perspective, and when I said cutscenes I totally had the picture and text thing in mind. It would just lead to some interesting plot twists and stuff, I mean look at the Mega Man X games. They came out around the same time as DKC, and they had awesome storylines in them for the time.

Well I'd be pleased with just a still image, with some text under it, and then you hit A and see another still image with some text under it.

So... names. It's tough dude, trust me I know, but I'll see what I can come up with off the top of my head.

Shadow
------------
I'm thinking something regal, or almost Roman sounding concidering how he conquered the entire solar system. A lot of names ending in -us or -cus
Magnus Mirellius
Lord Titanicus
King Fearon (pronounce that however you want. I personally like Fear-On)
Markus Tyranicus (or if you want it to be a little bit quirky Markus Tyrannical)
Mix and match all you want.

Nebulon 5
-------------
Titen
Solarnia
Eden
Solanium 5
I dunno... naming planets is harder. I'll try to come up with more for levels later.

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. The Forest Palace and Zelda's castle look the best graphically, and if you are at all interested, I'd definitely be willing to help out with graphics stuff.

So I just got a new 19 inch wide screen monitor, so I decided to get back into playing Serious Sam. Well I was looking up mods, and I stumbled upon this:

http://www.seriouszone.com/cms/articles/48_1.php

Croteam further proves that people really need to get off of the Unreal Engine and start using something with some balls.

Not a pic of a new hack... actually pictures of Chorus of Mysteries, but with a twist.

It's actually being played on an NES. I went through the whole game, and it works perfectly (well actually I haven't tried things like the Magic Dragon Skull and Warp Tile items, but they should work)

Wow, I really like the music in that level. I've never really been a fan of heavily pipe themed levels, but setting that totally aside I think it looks really nice.

Okay so this totally sucks, except for maybe the sprite of the Angry Video Game Nerd, but if you watch AVGN like I do, then you should enjoy it a little

Optomon and I made an easier version of CoM a while ago and never released it... so here it is:

http://chorusofmysteries.googlepages.com/CoMV2.zip

Pretty much we just took some of the enemies out to make it a little easier (That means some Medusa Heads.)
If anyone complains about the difficulty on this one, they aren't allowed to play... or even look at another Castlevania game ever again, because this one is definitely the same difficulty (even easier at some parts) as the original game.

I can't think of a better name for this thing other than The Ass Raper. Not really shown in the picture are the two homing laser guns. I'm going to tweak it a little and release it.

I made a real name for it and I think I'm going to release it actually.

The Rolling Cutter
You have to be patient when you fight this guy. Stay out of range of the lasers and then zoom in and try to get them first.

Yeah I made the label art entirely in photoshop. I used just a bunch of existing things and shopped them. Armund was originally a character from a different CV game, Olrox is from some costume shop's online store, the castle was a real castle that I made the clock tower in the middle real, and the moon is well... the moon. I thought what was interesting was that there's a castle somewhere in the world that actually looks a lot like the castle I designed for the game. I'll edit this if I can find the original castle I used for the label.

**EDIT**
nevermind. I just relized that I shopped the clock tower so it was inside the walls, so it actually didn't really look like Olrox's as much as I thought it did.

I got a new one, perfect for showing up during random play.

The Nightmare Bomber
Watch out! As soon as this monster appears on the map it's going on a collision course, straight for your ship, and trust me it isn't easy to dodge. After it's initial rush all you have to do is gun down one of its wings and its done for. It doesn't drop a power up, so it's better suited for random play.

Here's my newest one

The Imperial S-Class "Dancer"

This beast flies around, twirling through space, cutting everything in it's path with its razor fingers. If the hands don't get ya' the super laser will.

I was bored, so I drew a picture of the main villain of my dead Final Fantasy hack. This was actually just the very rough sketch I made, but instead of cleaning it up I decided to make it look all scratchy and distorted to go along with how crazy Valkner was supposed to be.

Damn it Cirvante, you beat me to the Swatikannon... I was thinking of doing one like that. Then again, yours is probably better than what I would have cooked up.
