Ahh still not working. Oh well, at least it's working for MM7, that's good enough. I also tried different versions of the game to be sure.
Oh btw, how do I go about getting dumps of NES music files that work with this program? I can't seem to find an emulator that does that, and there's so many NES emulators to download and try.... I found one program that'll dump all of a game's music as one file, but that doesn't help. Would I just have to know how to extract them with a hex editor?

Worked great thanks. It was too hard to find the end of the song using just a hex editor, but the debugging features in FCEUX worked great.

Megaman 7 - MM3 Wily Castle 3 spc
Megaman 7 - Spark Man spc
Megaman 7 - MM3 Intro Theme spc I found the beginning sounds quite a bit better (less noisy) in Snes9x (I dumped it with ZSNES).
Megaman 7 - MM3 Intro Theme(2) spc I think I like the intro in this version more, but having it so degrades a later part a little.

Yeah =). Thanks for the program. I've never done any music editing at all before, so this was pretty fun. Unfortunately MM7 doesn't seem to have a wide variety of useful instruments for these kinds of songs, so it was difficult trying to find ones that would work well, but they turned out pretty good.

Edit: Interesting, I just tried putting a song into Junk man's stage and one of the bass instruments sounds different. Any idea why that is?

How about 1 Byte / 4 Bit Graphics.
Simple enough right?

Originality had nothing to do with it. Your ability to see that originality was not an intended or even slightly considered factor at all whatsoever is far below zero.

I could actually use a spriter for something. I'm modifying Megaman the Wily Wars to include Protoman and Bass as playable characters (I'll handle any required programming changes later on). I've done most of Protoman's gfx, which was very time consuming, but Bass is going to be a little more challenging (he has some frames that are completely different from Megaman's and Protoman's). I'm also working on my Editor for this game, and I want to spend as much time on that as I can, so people don't have to wait too much longer for it. I still have to add Protoman's cape and shield, but I'll do that myself. What would be really helpful is if I can get some assistance on Bass' gfx.

Here are some various frames of Protoman's gfx for reference:
.
All 16 colors of the Genesis palette line can be used, but only 7 colors can be changed without causing problems (common sprites such as item revivers, energy tanks, question containers, etc., use Megaman's palette).
If anyone would like to take this on, I'll provide all of Megaman's Gfx already ripped from the game (and what I have done of Protoman's if you want; should be all but 4 frames).

The 7 colors pointed out below are the ones that can be changed, and as you can see I had to change the way Protoman's palette works because he has 2 of the same colors in his head and body (one being next to white and unchanged), so I had to use only 5 colors that change with his weapon in his body rather than 6 like Megaman has (I still used the darkest grey as a 6th color in his body because it's really not noticeable when his weapon changes).

So that's about it, any help that I can get with Bass would be greatly appreciated.

Eat plenty of vegetables and fruit and avoid the really junky foods (if you can really even call them food...) and the things that are very high in sugar, at least most of the time (it's best to get your sugars from fruits anyway). Don't skip out on your calorie intake though. This is where a lot of people go wrong. They tend to think it's either one or the other. Dairy is very congestive and hard for the body to handle (it was made for cows, not us). Too much dairy will make you sick a lot. Your body is a system of tubes, if it gets cloged up, it won't work right (and any toxins that your take in, won't be able to be cleared out very well). And pretty much anything in excess is bad, even vitamins (you can eat plenty of the good foods without worrying, it's hard to get too much of those). Physical excercise is important of course, and so is getting the right amount of sleep (whatever feels right for you is fine). The best way to extend your life, is to get healthy, and stay that way. A lot of these things are hard to keep up on, but as long as you get your sleep, exclude things from your diet that make you sick easily, and get some physical activity throughout the day (doesn't even have to be an excercise routine), you'll be alright. And the most important things is, don't be afraid of what might come in the future, that will only help to ensure failure. Just observe, be conscious and aware of what you can, and do your best as much as your feel able to.
One more thing: the best keep secret is that natural foods are the best thing for you, and why wouldn't they be, they were designed specifically for the biological body. Scientists will never find the answers they're looking for if they ignore this simple thing.

I put together a whole bunch of notes for Mario 3 in SMAS+W a couple years ago. I don't plan to do anything with them anytime soon if at all. I think making an Editor for Wily Wars is enough. So if anyone's interested, there ya go (5 documents included).
SMAS+W Mario 3 Hacking Notes.

Oh btw, they should work just fine for SMAS, maybe with a slight address change if anything (I think I tested that before and it was all good).

I don't know much about any trends involving dairy, this is just what I've observed on my own (I usually neglect anything involving trends intentionally). I used to be able to handle dairy like any normal person, but after a sinus infection I had once years ago, I haven't been able to have much dairy without getting seriously congested, so I am definately more sensitive to it anymore. I agree there are plenty of good nutrients in dairy, but I think our bodies have a hard time digesting the dairy substance itself. I haven't had much dairy or junky food in a couple of years and haven't been sick since. I have some friends who eat that kind of stuff all the time and are sick every couple of months. The only thing I can say is try going without it for a month or so and see if it makes any noticeable difference for you.

I know this thread is almost a month old, but it's still near the top so I'm gunna go for it. I have a two part question.
Do you think it's a good idea to have Megaman and SMB3 hacking sections (I see a lot of hacks and hacking related info for these games anymore)?

I just added a new feature to the 16x16 Editor which will allow you to select a range of tiles in the 8x8 Editor, and then paste them into the 16x16 Editor (with a right-click). As of right now, you can paste them anywhere in the 16x16 Tile space (not in the single 16x16 Tile panel yet), then left-click inside of the pasted region to move it around if you want, and left-click outside of it or press Ctrl+D to set the pasted tiles down and they will then take on the formatting of the 16x16 Tiles that they were placed over (only the 8x8 Tiles themselves get written, not the palettes in use or anything like that). You can drop the tiles starting halfway into a 16x16 Tile as well (the movement is snapped by the 8x8 tile).

Mega Robot Laboratory v0.61 (Beta) -- If this doesn't work on XP, then I will have to build it on XP (I'll make sure all of my builds work on XP once I get more developed).

Ok NOW I'm actually going to work on the Level Layout stuff and saving. I'll add more useful features like this later on.

Oh lol. I didn't know it kept every version of a post D:. I have a habit of remembering things after posting, or I find really bad typos / mistakes in my sentances.

Another question!! What would you do for a klondike bar (you said you're usually not opposed to silly questions, so I'm going for it)?

Edit (Oh noes!! D: ): Or two. Why does the allowed Maxi Pix size change everytime you click Edit Profile?

Actually, I think I changed my mind. If we can get all of the data for this game found and understood that's required to fully or almost fully edit it (music data is optional), I might be up to making an editor for this game as well, since I can reuse a lot of the programming from my Wily Wars edtior. But, Wily Wars and my iPhone game come first. Either that or if you or someone else wants to handle it, that would be a load off me and I'm totally fine with that lol.

I actually found some of the level data using the NES version. I didn't bother to look much beyond that, but it's quite possible that a lot of it may be the same.

What language is Reuben coded in? I haven't been following anything involving the NES version of SMB3.
Nevermind, it's C#. Well I can do C++ and C#.

Edit: Btw, ignore anything involving Collision properties in my notes, I think I accidentally modified some data involving Mario and got confused on that. That's the only thing that I can remember that was incorrect.

Ahhh just the thing to give me lots of lolz. Thanks KP.
So what do you think would happen if you did? Do you think you would get completely sucked in or be stuck part way in and not be able to get out?
