Wooo! Hack is about 5-10% done, I modified most of the weapons, and nearly all the armor, edited some monsters, and made some new monsters. Ill try to post some in-game pictures up tomorrow.

well first, before i give a thousand random ideas, how familiarized are you with smrpg hacking? how well do you know about scripting, stat editing, and general stuff like that? (this way I'm not giving ideas that are too advanced lol)

If you are just beginning, then how starting out with something very simple like a dialogue hack? That might seem a little boring though.

If not that than how about doing what I did, stick with the regular storyline, and make enemies and bosses a lot harder, but also drop a ton more exp and coins, and make items more effective and expensive. I also played around with level up stat increments, making bowser have 255 attack and about 200 defense by level 30 and a very low (70-120) magic attack and an even lower (30-70) magic defense.

oh and just remember, the best games aren't necessarily ideas given by another, they take time to think out and plan. If anything, just take your time until something really great hits you! That's how my latest idea for a big hack came about (which i don't have NEARLY enough time to make, seeing how school is next week). As long as you enjoy it, then it's good =]

Hey I wasn't mistaken when wondered if the two hacks had gotten data mixed up.. My hack somehow got some of it's data mixed with this one... but how?? unless you named bowser - Magus, and Mack - the mackster.. i doubt it. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening? or even anyway to fix it? (not that i'm going to, It actually turn out to be pretty cool, seeing some of my work combined with someone else's)

Oh my mistake, but yes a smrpg with a more puzzling feel to it would be interesting. I'm not one to say I like puzzles, but maybe a smrpg flavored puzzle game is just what I need =D

King Bowser, feeling a tad extravagant, decides to remodel his castle and buy a new Koopa Clown Car. Unfortunately for him, due to various economic circumstances (ie the princess kidnapping industry collapsing) he is unable to pay off the massive debt he has incurred. After his castle has been repossessed by his creditors or whatever, he runs to his nemesis Mario begging for help. It is now up to you (being Mario and all) to help pay off Bowser's debt and teach him a lesson on proper budgeting that he'll never forget.

Or something.

hearing that made me think of Bob-Bomb Mafia...

I saw the "views" indicator at the top left of the screen, and i wanted to see how many views in a given time they get.. so I kept hitting refresh, and i noticed that they gain 1 view per second.. so I'm thinking: BS there's no way they gain 60 views per minute.. that's gotta be rigged.." and then i realized.. it counts my refreshing as a view!

XD anyone else been through this, or something like it?

So how was everyone's first day of school? Talk about it!

Mine was pretty awesome.. I have a choice of taking game and simulation foundation, or robotics.. not sure which one i want though.

I'm wiped out though.. Probably going to bed in a few..

Oh wow.. didn't think there was that much of a difference in the official first day of school..

Well for me, the bus is so packed that kids are literally sitting on the floor, the lunch lines were so long today, that i was 10 minutes late to class >,<, All the powerade machines were completely sold out (and it's only the second day of school..) they don't sell coffee in the morning, the school is very crowded, parts of the school haven't been finished (the school was just built)... So yeah, awesome!

as for the good, well, they have a lot of unusual electives, such as game and simulation foundation, guitar, engineering, all sorts of different stuff... they have a golfing team, and a bowling team(lol) and the school is relatively small, so it doesn't take but 5 minutes to get from first building to last.

my classes are (1st): game and Sim foundation, (2nd) Earth and space science, (3rd) Liberal arts (i know it's sad... =/. ), (4th) guitar 1 (woooo!) (5th) English 3 (6th) Power weight training (can't wait to start that one..) (7th) drama (kinda weird and boring.. and lame...)

anyone else?

My schedule for next year is:

Adv. Calculus
AP English Language
AP US History
AP Biology
AP Computer Science
AP French
AP Economics

wow.. you put me to shame.. that's depressing.. Yeah I have dreams of going to Stetson University in Florida, but I don't see it happening because i pretty much flunked my first two years of high school.. People say I'm very intelligent, and I work extremely well by myself, but i do terrible in public, because of all the distractions.. And I feel as though I may very well fail this year at the expense of others. My science class is seated alphabetically, and we are working in groups nearly all year round I believe. Unfortunately, I'm the only guy in my group, and everyone else in the group is a Failure. No kidding. I was assigned a project today, with the group, and it was about "trapping a mouse" using any one thing we bring from home as part of the trap. Well, i didn't here her say that, and all i had at the time was my Ipod so... Anyways, the instructions were to draw what our "trap" was, and we were specifically instructed that our design COULD NOT hurt the mouse.. so what does my group come up with? The mouse steps on some keys, triggering a curling iron to fall on the mouse, and burn the mouse alive. Not only was half of their ideas Physically (and almost mentally) impossible, but they were stupid enough to go with it. So yeah, I might have it difficult..
