Visual Basic 6 code is not compatible with vb.net. It would be non-trivial to port and possibly require re-writing the thing.

Windows 7 should support the old vb6 runtime, so it should work.

I can vouch that vb6 and apps do run fine in wine.

Fluent in English and Spanish. Some French.

In any case, I recommend immersion if possible, and trying to "think" in the language as you use it.

For example, don't think of what you want to say in English first, then translate. Just try to say what you want to say without over-thinking. Hope that makes sense.

Feed Reader Liferea
Image editor: GIMP
IRC client: xchat-gnome
General Text editor: gedit
Occasional Programming: emacs
Atari Lynx, GameBoy (Color), GameBoy Advance, NES, PC Engine(TurboGrafx 16), SuperGrafx, Neo Geo Pocket (Color), PC-FX, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega Master System and WonderSwan (Color) emulator: mednafen (0.9.16-wip, since it has snes support)
Other emulator: MESS (svn version, as it moves fast and the sdlmess port is integrated into the official release tree)
Music player: Audacious (has excellent chiptune support too!)
Video player: Videolan (aka vlc)

Not much to discuss I guess, I love my set up, and it's all free to download and use with source code available too...

I like a clean Desktop!

Gnome 2.30.2 (with Epiphany Browser and Audacious playing Dawn of Sorrow 2sf...) with some widgets on the panel...

P.S. I know the wallpaper is boring (just a solid color) but I find it less distracting, plus it makes for a nice small screenshot
