I am very interested to see where this will go, So far you've done an excellent job. I think after all of the e-reader stuff you should make it an SMA4 Editor. Good luck on everything!

With SPC2Midi, Let the song loop for a bit and then save it. From there open it in a midi editor. and truncate the excessive looping of it. to make it loop once. Another thing with SPC2Mid is that if the drums are set to be actual drums, Their specialized volume and controls aren't saved. So when I export a midi from SPC2Mid I make the "drums" random "instruments" and then change the instruments to proper drums while keeping the tracks separate but the channel the same. Good luck with your progress on this.

I can't wait to see this progress further, Everything looks badass. I agree that dithering is not the way to go as well. I'm sure when you de-dither the graphics will still look just as awesome

Shouldn't be too hard in Lazy Shell 2.1. You can edit Ally weapons and stuff in it. Just trial and error can get it proper. Look at how regular weapons are made for the Ally and just reference from there.

I haven't checked yet but there may be a way for Elemental boost, Jump is considered it's own element in the game so you just have to look around to see if you could boost certain elemental power.

A few things I would like to see.

1: A way of extending the space for things that don't currently get extended.
2: Level names dump to txt and import. Makes things easier to keep levels arranged.
3: I've noticed some glitches while editing levels and switching back and forth the music selection gets sticky. Example: I'm making a Bowser Keep level, I switch to Mushroom kingdom to get some reference points for Solidity and other things and I go back to the level, I preview and it ends up mushroom kingdom music.
4: A Piano roll similar to FL Studio's perhaps to help those who don't know how to read notes in the way they are right now.
5: Seeing as editing levels 0-4 cause the rom to mess up even if you just scroll onto them in the editor maybe have an option in the settings to lockout those levels to prevent somebody from mistakenly loading the level and saving it causing the game to mess up.
6: To help new hackers in the hacking guide document, Explain what each thing is and how it works like what a Partition is for an NPC is etc. If I had a better understanding I'd do it for you but I'm just getting back into it .
7: Specialty Editing buttons on a Toolbar to select what layer you're currently editing or if you're editing NPC's or exits etc. Though it might be a personal preference carried from Lunar Magic lol.

Just a small test. Did this within an 20 minutes. Took me about an hour to figure everything out though.

Alright that works. Thanks

Edit: Another useful thing would be to be able to change the names of the songs for those who are writing custom music it will make things easier

Is there going to be a way in the future to either properly edit levels 0-3 without the game getting messed up?

School will always be a pain in the ass, whether it be the work or the people around you causing stress and bullshit. I went to school till 8th grade then switched to homeschooling cause the stress was making my medical condition worse [heart problems] I don't recommend homeschooling cause the social environment is helpful to help build oneself. My advice here is to try not to let the bullies get to you, if they see you aren't paying attention they'll learn to stop otherwise they will end up getting in trouble. Retorting and retaliating back will only make them come back harder on you [I would know :\] So just ignore them, focus on your school work as the time will go by fast. A Hobby helps pass the time like Rom hacking. It helps keep the mind focused too. I've been through it all pretty much so if you need help don't hesitate ask.

The issues I was experiencing were when I open Level 3 for example and save the exit gets messed up and the rom becomes unusable. I've also been having the issue where the song I have selected for the level keeps getting force changed to Mushroom Kingdom. Hope you can add the ability to edit the names of the songs and export/import level names to text in the next release. Also I've been finding myself running out of event script space, is there any way to fix that or do I just have to delete the old events that I'm not using?

Another bug I noticed is that I can't seem to import SpriteSheet full of molds that I've exported. as well as when I try to import a new mold over an old one it deletes all the other molds.. If I select not to replace molds it adds it to the end. Shouldn't the mold replace go over the other molds rather than delete them all?

Also stumbled upon a new issue, When I import a mold, as it creates a new mold, what happens is when I try to change the position of the mold pieces [I have all of the pieces selected at once] I get an error.

I'm sure the program is still in the works. Also bro, the editor I wanted was for my upgraded Sonic 3 [Codenamed Sonic 4] Engine . I hope to help with the disassembly sometime when I have more free time. Genesis roms don't need special tools to be expanded but if it's at 4MB you're at your limit.

I was trying to Replace Bowser's Sprite so Sprite #13 I exported then edited, both as a single mold and a sheet of molds, only thing I didn't try was having the mold a full tilemap [256x256] but I don't think that should make much of a difference should it? I tried all the options for importation and it either added a new old to the end or cleared the sprite and started new mold. Which options should directly replace the current mold? Also importing the sprite sheet molds that Lazy shell dumps didn't work either..

Are levels 0-3 editable now? Also There isn't a way to gain more space for event scripts is there? I have to edit pre-existing ones? Also one thing that might be interesting to add in the event script editor is a link back to what level or NPC in said level calls it. Helps tracing to be easier.

Was messing around clicking notes in the Piano roll in the Audio editor and this happened. Also how come samples won't play for me unless I preview the spc via the emulator?

Well that's good that I was able to help in a big way. I'm having an issue porting .brr samples. I use C700 VSTi to rip .brr samples from an SPC and I try to import it and it doesn't work at all. I hope you could look into it, I'll provide a download link for the BRR sample I was trying to use.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/64842423/Megaman%20X%20Guitar.brr

I'm wondering if there is a difference in brr formats? Also the sample previewer doesn't work. These is the last things stopping me from doing more music.
