Hello,
Your screenshots look pretty good. I played it,and your ideas were pretty good.
did you expand the levels or just use the rooms that they gave you? the only thing was that I thought some parts like 1-4 were kind of close to the one in the original game,but your levels were really good like the cave maze. I think you should add a few enemies though,if you know what I mean,just to make it interesting,but the difficulty level was good. It was progessive and not too hard all at once.(The monkeys in 1-8 werent really that bad.) Oh,and there were only a few minor things wrong,but they didnt ruin the gameplay like at the beginning of the welcome level,you can see a space on the bottom,but it fixed itself so maybe try not to the ground so big. I'm not trying to be critical,but just to let you know how you can make it better. I think it will make a really good game b/c the demo was fun to play. Since I tried your game,can I send you a demo of my game to try it? I have to fix a few things first.
Well,like I said,it looks like you have a really good start,and you put a lot of effort into your levels.

Here are some new and updated screenshots of my game of SMW2 that I had on the old board. They go from 2-8 to 3-4,but I still have to do 3-3,and then I want to release a demo,if it's ok. I haven't made a demo in a long time I'm not sure if I should do another one or I might just make a video to show what I've done if you think I should rather than a demo. I dont know because sometimes people don't play demos so I might see.
Also, I just fixed some of the backgrounds in the levels,and tried to expand some of the rooms like in the last screenshot so I would be able to make a new pre-boss room like Fabio said. Oh,I also need help coming up w/some level names so tell me if you have any ideas. Let me know if you have any feedback or comments. .

There, I updated the third and fifth screenshots. I also added so vine so monkeys dont look like they are flying or whatever. Are those backgrounds better? i tried different ones and that's a good one I came up with.
I think I know what's wrong w/the other backgrounds in the first and fourth screenshots. In the first one,you have to go to go higher so when you go up or something, the background scrolls up and you get that red.
For example,like in the Keep Moving one,you have to go higher to get farther in the level,if you know what I mean. These next two screenshots show the same levels as the ones shown above(2-8 and 3-2).




So is that ok or does it still not look good?

That SMB game w/Kirby looks cool.

Optomon:What game is that w/the rabbit in it? It looks good too,but strange for some reason w/those blue things in the second screenshot.


Ok,well,my levels got corrupted again in Eggvine so I had to start all over,but I didnt lose everything. Here are some screenshots. There were some on the old board,if you want to see some of them,but these are from World 1. They're different though;I made some new levels and finished 2-1 now so I will probably make another demo like after 2-8 or 3-4 b/c I already released a World 1 demo. I also expanded some of them to make them longer. Also,I used level DA in Eggvine. It reminds me of 1-8 a little bit. Ok,well,I hope you like these screenshots. There are some hidden things in some of them.

New start in the Welcome level,yes,you go up the pipe and end up in another level(that sewer level is Level 36 is Eggvine.)

Oh,I also need ideas for new level names,if anyone can help. I don't really have a theme or anything,I dont think. They just seem like they're random sometimes or like some levels have more than one part has Poochey for a little bit,and then you jump up to get on top of those barcode things and also the throwing eggs in the water to get the red coins.

Just a complaint in this screen - never, ever use that many colored blocks in a level together. It is so very tedious, and people will get annoying spending 10 minutes cleaning out blocks. It doesn't look like you used the egg plant sprite or egg block object either, so 6 eggs and the person is stuck. I highly recommend reducing the amount of colored blocks here.



Sorry,if this seemed misleading. I was just trying to show it looked like the game where you hit the bricks. I didn't mean for it to be annoying for people. There is an egg block to the left in the level, I couldn't show it in the screenshot. Also,there are 2 Marching Mildes. The egg block is just off to the side next to there so if you want to get other things like the stars, red coins on top and a flower,you will have to go back to the egg block. Also, I fixed it so there are castle blocks for you stand on, and there is a big jumping board on top so you just have to know where to break the bricks. It's not that hard,but you will have to get a key and take it back a little bit. I hope that explains it better.

Thanks for the feedback. I will fix the colors, but I dont know what image I should use for the background.

that looks good. Is the egg w/a foot supposed to be like a walking tap tap or something? i dont know,I cant think of any other way it would be used in the game. did you make the icon for 6-7? b/c I dont remember that icon either.

Hello Golden Yoshi,
sorry if I am bumping this thread too late,but I just played your demo for World 2. Your levels were good and the difficulty wasn't too hard either. I liked playing them.
However, there were just a few small problems that you might already know about.
In 2-7, after you go through the pipe in the turtle shell room, why do you come out of the ceiling when you go back into the castle? also, one of the flowers was like impossible to get. It was in some spikes,and I tried to get the spitting seed shy guy,but he won't get it along w/some red coins. I think it was like in 2-6 or 2-7. Also,did you mean to leave the boss battle out? b/c after I go through the door,I see a shyguy and I flower pot like floating,and I just fall down and the boss battle never starts so I can't get to see 3-1.
well,I hope that helps. Your game is coming along really well so far.

Does anyone know who made this game? The ASM ideas were really good like the level when the clock and enemies stop when you step on the P switch and the SMW2 graphics. it would have been better w/different music though.
I liked the bonus game from SMB3 and the boss w/the shyguy from SMW2. However, I think some of the levels were suddenly too hard like the first level after the third castle and some of the bosses after the first castle were really hard. i kept running out of time in that one level w/the ghosts disappearing after you go down the pipe in the boat.
Also, my only other concern was that the messages were all in Japanese, but I think you can kind of figure out what they mean by what happens in the level. oh,and I opened the game up and it where it's supposed to say Bowser,it says Luigi. Does that mean you have to fight against him at the end? i'm assuming that you do.

hello,
I've been playing that new Demo 6 game of SMW,and I cant get to the Red Switch Palace. There is a yellow level before it and a haunted house. I finish the haunted house the regular way,and just leads to another path that goes left,which leads to another yellow level. I found a boss room in the haunted house that has a P switch and a key,but there is no keyhole. So I'm not sure what to do. If anyone reads this and can help me,i would appreciate it. Thanks.

I was fooled by this trick,too,but I got the secret exit.Just defeat the big boo and a secret path will be opened.The key is actually a throwing object.



I knew you could throw the key,but then they try to trick you like I got the red switch palace so I thought i blocked the turtle on top,but then I tried to take the P switch through the door to see if could go back and get another one,and it wouldn't let me. I was stuck,and then time ran out,but I figured it out. i wish someone could make it to Spanish or English b/c I can't read Japanese. That's why I'm confused. Also, this game is weird b/c it like doesnt act like SMW at all sometimes. Well,i got to this boss that was a trash can or something w/a skeleton and I didn't know what do so I tried throwing turtles at it and nothing worked so I just figured out you had to jump on everything w/out letting it get you, if you know what I mean. Did the person who made the game not know English? just wondering b/c it woukd have been easier to understand.

I finally got past the first part in the castle w/electricity,but now I'm stuck on the big blue boss in Demo6. it's the one where all the parts come out and try to hit you. Has anyone gotten past it? I tried to hit it w/the block,but the block doesnt hit him. Do I just have to wait until the battle gets done or something? Thanks.

I have an idea for a block, but I dont know if it has been requested yet. my idea is to make a block that acts like the sand digging blocks in SMB2 in one of the caves. I think you can dig and then walk through it left and right,and it disappers after like one second or less. thanks.

I l/loaded it and tried it, but the manual just had weird characters and writing in it. The text documents had musics in them, but I couldnt tell what most of them were. well,i tried it, and it said it was a success, but when I run the game in Snes9x 1.51, the music never changes. what am i supposed to do?

oh, in Lunar Magic? after I initialize the ROM,it says it's a success, but when I try to open the ROM, it says, "The ROM does not have a 0 x 200 byte header. also, the manual that came has weird characters and writing so I can't read it. can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?


Edit 1: I figured it out,and I tried editing a track, but I don't really know how to write the music I want,and I dont understand what some of the symbols mean like the Greek text at the beginning or something


Other than that,it seems like a really good program.

Over 900 yards of offense together...crazy.

The Broncos Raiders game was also pretty crazy. Denver led 17-3 at the half then the Raiders came back and the Broncos found themselves down 20-17. They tied it up and went into overtime. The Raiders went for a 51? yard field goal and made it but the Broncos had called a time out just before the snap. They tried again and missed the field goal. The Broncos got the ball back, moved down field and it was over with a field goal from them. 23-20 Broncos game...



The Raiders did that today and they blocked it against Cleveland so that is weird something like that happened 2 weeks in a row. Another weird thing is the Philadelphia lost their first 2 games,but then today, they scored 56 points against Detroit. is that the most they have ever scored in one game? Maybe,it was partly because they were against a team that won like 2 or 3 games last year.

One of my friends said the Packers are going to the Super Bowl because they're 3-0. Maybe, they were kind of lucky against Philadelphia, but it is too early to tell unless they beat a lot of hard teams, they might have a chance. The Broncos and 49ers both lost today,and they were 2-0 so you can't assume that the Packers are going to be undeafeated,I'm just saying.

I just d/loaded Sprite Tool 1.35 and I can get the sprites to appear after I insert them in Lunar Magic,but why do they still appear glitched in the game? they do what they're supposed to most of the time,and as an example,I tried the boomerang brother,but it just looked like the flying hammer brother in SMW glitched and instead of throwing boomerangs, it threw a football helmet. i tried a few more,and just about the same thing happened. I just got a glitched version and for the parabeetle from SMB3,I just a koopa w/out a shell that flies. Is that what's supposed to happen or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

hello,I just dloaded you game,and it seemed really good except it look me a little while to get past welcome level. Then 1-1 was easy again. The level design seems really good too except for that it seems a little bit difficult too soon in some parts. Oh,and I died at the beginning in 1-3. if you dont go directly through the gap to the cave room,you fall and die b/c you can go through the log thing and fall down so maybe you should fix it,but it's not that big of a deal.

What a game..Broncos vs. the Steelers. That game was so great and almost seemed epic..until the game inevitably ended with the Broncos kicking a game-winning field goal... I loved it though. If only they can play that well more often. They were missing Champ Bailey and Javon Walker..number 1 starting corner and number 1 starting receiver. Haha..what a victory. Very entertaining game.

I know,I like the Broncos too,but I thought they were going to lose after they lost really bad against San Diego. I didnt think it would be that close. I only saw like the first 5 minutes and like the last 10 min. i thought Pittsburgh was like going to call time-out if he made it and then they would probably go into overtime.
Also, I was kind of upset after philadephia lost w/ like 15 seconds left b/c one of my friend's friends likes the Bears and Philadelphia wasnt losing until the bears made a touchdown at the end.

I think I noticed a few glitches or I dont know what to call them. It might have not been your fault. i think you worked really hard on this to make your level designs really good like I mentioned before. For example,like in 2-8, in one of the rooms, if Yoshi gets hit,Mario starts crying and he goes under the ! thing that goes down and you hit with eggs so it is not possible to get him or mario goes out of the screen. Also, in one of the rooms after you get the middle ring,the bandit gets you,and if you go back,I think the red coins disappear for some reason and if you break the blocks where you;re supposed to get the key from the flower pot, you cannot push it to where you're supposed to to break it b/c there's lava,I think so maybe put it in the middle so you can just put down. However, in some levels,I think if you get the middle ring and die,you get a middle ring, and you start in a different room. I think that was like in 6-3 or something. I looked it up in Eggvine. the thing goes in the lava and you die after you get the middle ring in the room before it,I think and then,when you continue, it seems like it skips some rooms,if you know what I mean. Well, you might have to change something in Translexhation. I could try to help you,if you want,but most everything else seems all right. Also, something weird happened.It was by accident. I don't know how it happened,but it makes it so you can get 999 guys if you die and there is a ! switch under and you fall and hit it. You still die, but when you continue,it says x999 Yoshis left.
