Doesn't seem too far from any other fiat money, except for that it has no physical form.
Could work, could fail.

It felt like everyone couldn't be easily figured out.

It's like people are some sort of being that isn't exactly as it looks on the surface after a single encounter! Gasp!

Really? And here I always considered you guys two big teddy bears.

I'm generally okay at first. But, once people get to know me I tend to be a dick.

Back to the actual game.
It's rather fun, but hell to play without a gamepad.
Seriously, if I didn't have one I would regret the purchase.
Since I do, I'm enjoying the game.

I started a server that me and Trel play on. If any of you are interested you can join us.

That should be "that Trel and I play on."

KP, that sidebar looks awful. I cannot properly express my feelings toward it.

In case any of you weren't already aware, Cave Story is being remade for the 3DS.
Here's a link to an article with a rather disappointing first screenshot.
I love the look of the concept art, but to me the screenshot seems to ruin some of the visual charm the original had.

There's nothing I'd like to see remade. If I wanted to play those games, I'd go play them.
I'd prefer to see more new IPs emerging.

(I dare say the better approach would be to start off by trying to draw photorealistically and go in the more symbolic anime direction from there rather than the other way around).

I know it's not really the best idea to quote a 3 month old post, but this is actually a great suggestion for anyone. It's a far better idea to learn to draw photorealistically and then stylize, than to just attempt to stylize from the beginning, because it gives you a ground in things like perspective and basic sizes, shapes, etc.
Take, for example, this painting by Pablo Picasso, a painter famous for his abstract art.

So all of your games are intact? No missing games? No broken systems? No games you ever passed up?

I don't mind emulating games I've never played. Only certain game hold special appeal for me to play on their original consoles, so porting those would ruin that aspect of the aesthetic.

I'd love to see a remake of "Little Nemo: The Dream Master" for the NES. That game is way too awesome to be forgotten.
Actually, this would be awesome to see, I partially redact my previous statement.

Yeah, although I'm not quite certain about sticking to some details on the boundary between superficialities and implementation, like whether I'll stick to the handdrawn style (which also relies on most objects being individually positionable, and is optimized towards that) or switch to something more closely resembling pixel art (then being more tilemap-based).
I say stick with the hand-drawn style. It generally looks really nice, and you seem to have it down rather well.
