The most fitting one seriously is like Kafuka Forums or something, and it's got this really good feeling behind it, with the front page and everything. It'd destroy this whole "community without an aim" thing we got going. |

I can't believe no-one noticed. What is with all the mile stones around here?
Anyway if you didn't realize, today board2 has existed for 2 years. It's come pretty far, and then it went back the same way it came for a while, but by the looks of it things are on their way up. Here's hoping it's here in another 2 years. Is anyone else surprised by how fast the time went by? |

I hate the PoRA box. It's really, really stupid. It's just a space in the page for admins to insert HTML, it's not got any actual functionality other than that. A better idea would be having announcements work the same way they used to, or better yet, give administrators the option to make a thread appear at the top of every forum (super stickying or something), such functionality exists in a number of mainstream message board softwares and it's always worked well for other people. That also means people can post on the announcements, and doesn't require more than 3 minutes of coding. |

It's absolutely nothing at all the same. It's not a different version of it. It's an announcements system. It just has links to announcements placed in the same place. |
