Salutations! I was a big fan of acmlm's hacks and used to frequent his boards about 8-9 years ago, generally being the ignorant prepubescent weirdo that I was. I'm very pleased to see that this type of board still exists! I've never enjoyed a message board layout as much as this. I'm very much looking forward to getting back into ROM hacks and enjoying all your creations. And someday if I find the patience buried within my ADHD-ravaged mind, I may make my own. |

I play the roundy-poundies in a rock-ish band named Gelatinus Cube. We have an album that is free for download. Also, the link to our myspace is listed as my website in my profilw.

I played about an hour into it with a friend of mine. I definitely plan to purchase it in the near future. I'm definitely one to advocate innovation, but even though they didn't really step it up in the area, I can't exactly complain about a really really solid 2-D Mario. I've always had a soft spot for sidescrolling co-op as well, and even though it's not exactly anything new to the gaming world, I'm certainly glad to see it finally implemented into a Mario game.
I had to resist temptation to watch the video of 8-7. I want it to a be a completely fresh experience when it curb-stomps me with it's alleged greatness. |

Haha, oh man. Back in the day, where I'm from had a pretty thriving local ska scene. There was a handful of quality stuff there, but that flame largely died out. There are still a few good active (last time I checked, at least) ska bands around these parts though, including a delightfully talented group of high schoolers (maybe they graduated, I'm out of the loop ) doing second-wave ska who call themselves Johnny Red and the Skammunists. Gotta love pun-oriented ska band names...
Thanks for making it clickable by the way, effectively overriding my own laziness. |

I really liked the scat lyrics for the multiplayer victory music in the credits. That was always my favorite music from the game. Even if I lost, it was sure to produce a shit-eating grin upon my face. |
