Posted by Valkyrie Not by a whole lot, though. Even if it's not a staff, it shouldn't be that impossible to come up with a weapon in the "shitty mage weapon" class for Valkyries. |

Liked epiosde 2 far better than the first, so I guess I'll continue watching.
Please tell me those two annoying kids aren't going to play a huge role in the series. |

Posted by TheGreatGuy Graal. Which was actually kinda fun. And not grinding-based, which was probably the reason. |

Posted by Shadic Totally agree, and I never understood the people who rate the original higher. Let's see: The removal of stupid overworld that never told you where to go? Check The removal of retarded fishing levels everyone hated? Check Improving the shooting levels a hundredfold? Check Improving the treasure hunting levels a lot as well? Check Improving Sonic's running levels, while removing Tails' dull and easy variant and Amy's slow variant (Sonic games aren't supposed to be slow!)? Check Why the complaining? They improved the stuff that worked, and nixed the stuff that sucked, making the sequel a far far better game. On the subject of Sonic, Sonic Labyrinth gets a lot of hate as well. Sure, besides the use of it's characters, it has barely anything to do with Sonic, and it's not really that great a game in the first place, but labelling it one of the worst Sonic games of all time, or even going as far as calling it one of the worst games of all time? No. It's a completely decent game as long as you ignore the fact that there's very little Sonic about it. |

Posted by S.N.N. Forgot their names, but the boy is the one whose mother got nuked in Atlanta, and the girl is... that girl whose house he stays at in episode 2. Semi-major, eh? Eh, I'll survive. I hope. |

Posted by Doritokiller Heh, you're going to love Gradius. While not as evil level design wise as R-Type, it has a "if you die, you might as well reset, since you lose all power-ups upon death, and it takes a couple stages to get them all back - and without powerups, you're not going to survive those stages" gameplay concept which is sure to annoy (plus, you can't recharge shields, just replace them - a shield takes 4 hits before it breaks, and the next hit will do you in, but you're not allowed to get a fully powered shield until you've been hit those four times. Amazing fun when you got bullets coming from all directions, and you have to hit the B button right after losing your shield if you hope to survive). I have beaten the thing, but that was a no-death run. In R-Type, you can often just keep trying the same level over and over until you get your game over, in Gradius, one mistake will end the game for you right there and then. |

R-Type had the Force, which acted like a shield.
And hm, I have to admit to only having played the original Gradius (but hey, I did beat it, in spite of the no-recharging crap). Should try some of the sequels some day. |

The question is, does it actually help, or does it just cause more accidents due to people's attention being elsewhere? I'll go for the latter.
Not that I'd say no if they were going to implement the system here, though Not safe for work |

This music doesn't really prove anything other than "there will be a somewhat dangerous Metroid stage in the game". This theme would fit the Kraid level from Melee fairly well. |

Given that the stage is obviously modelled after that castle, I say that's what they were going for. |

Posted by FirePhoenix0 Not exactly shots, but the very first Brawl trailer had armored Samus fighting for a while until her armor broke off and we were presented with our first glimpse of Zero Suit Samus. |

Posted by Z-Bot It's very likely. Neither Roy, Pichu or Dr. Mario added a whole lot to the game (and Roy isn't a particulary important character either, he was only in Melee to advertise the upcoming Fire Emblem 6). Ganondorf will most likely get a complete overhaul, being replaced with a more current incarnation of the character, and given an original moveset. |

Posted by Krisan Thyme Marth was the original Fire Emblem hero, and the only one to star in more than one game (FE1 and FE3), he's certainly significant and interesting enough. He's staying, it's Roy who should be worried about his place in the game. And yeah, forgot about Young Link. Yeah, he's certainly not going to be in the game. The OoT era has long since passed. Zelda's Sheik form will have to go as well. |

Make sure to check out the rest of the abridged series as well. Truly excellent stuff.
There's also a Naruto variant (the author had them removed by Youtube, but others have uploaded them as well, so just do a quick search for "naruto the abridged series"), which, while not as good, is still worth a look. |

Posted by TheGreatGuy More people own Melee than any given FE game, I believe. Seriously, there's no point in kicking out Marth and adding Eliwood just because he's in a game that was released in the US. Them going with Fire Emblem characters in the first place is testament to that (plus, no one in Europe had a clue who the hell Ness was before SSB was released either, and you don't see us complaining about how he should be left out of the series) |
