partsunknown109 is my Gamertag. I forget what my Wii code is because I don't play multiplayer on the Wii all that often.
I usually play Halo (Reach, Halo 3, and ODST) on Live, but I'll probably add anybody if you guys just want to chat or whatever. |

I feel so dumb. I totally missed both of those on my first playthrough, but I played it again today and found both of those upgrades. Ridley and Mother Brain would have been a lot easier if I had known a charge beam existed. This whole time I thought you just had to aim your super missiles and missiles very carefully to beat those guys. |

Well I'm not really sure where to begin when it comes to explaining this sort of thing. I guess what it comes down to is what exactly you're trying to make an NPC do with the action scripts.
As far as making them work with event scripts, you don't even need to do that if you don't want to. You can make an NPC do anything using just the event script itself, which is what I always do. Although, I suppose using action scripts would be a good idea if you're running out of space in your event scripts... but I digress. Like I said, it would be easier to help if I new what it was you're having problems with. What are you trying to do but can't seem to figure out? |

The Spring Ball just lets you jump while in the morph ball. But as far as I can tell, it's not required for anything. The only time I ever actually needed to use it was to escape the room you find it in in the first place. |

I've been here over 2 years now and I have yet to hear of what they're for. What do they do? Was there originally an option for people to fight each other? What was the purpose?

I don't think I've 100%'d Yoshi's Island either. I know I came close though. I think World 5-bonus is what kept me from finishing though. Stupid Kamek and your invincible dive-bombing of doom. Why can't Yoshi's Helicopter mode come with heat-seeking missiles or something? |

As it stands now, if someone wants to increase their rank, they just have to post random stuff, but the posts are generally small and manageable. And if someone were to spam a bunch of empty posts and threads, they'd probably get modded quickly. But the solution you're proposing would just make people post very long and difficult to read posts with no real substance to them. No one likes to read walls of texts. You see, even now I'm not really adding much to the conversation at this point. I'm simply rambling on and on to make a point, but if people actually did this, moderators probably wouldn't take the time to read them and see if they were actually posting something valuable. As such, the board would be filled with pointless posts just like this one. ...but I have no idea what the F-K thing is. |

You could always just make the prize more coins and experience or something simple. I guess it's really not a big deal, but it's just one small feature to add that might bring a tiny bit more life to this place.
I don't suppose anyone would be willing to share what items actually change stuff, would they? |

I was doing some very minor exploring with this 6th character idea and I made some half-way interesting discoveries, although I don't know if anyone will find them helpful.
First off, each character has 6 slots for various animations, with the exception of Mario because he has the most stuff to do. He gets 7. Normally, most things only get 1 slot for all their animations and molds. The characters in this game have a lot of stuff to do, so they get 6 slots. These 6 animation slots go in order by character. First is Mario, then Toadstool, Bowser, Mallow, and Geno. In the X-button menu, the standing still, facing forward animation is loaded for each character, which is in each character's 1st animation slot, sequence # 10. (sorry if I'm using weird, fake terminology, but this is what I've always referred to them as.) When you try to add a 6th character, in the X-button menu it loads the 1st slot and 10th animation right after Geno, which is the slot for the Hammer weapon, animation #10, which doesn't exist, hence the messed up graphic. I also looked at the attack animation you mentioned. Every weapon has an animation script attached to it, labeled 0-35. Each character's unarmed attack animation is located near the beginning. 0 is Mario's unarmed attack, 1 is Toadstool, 2 is Bowser, 3 Mallow, and 4 for Geno. When you try to add a 6th character, they're unarmed attack by default becomes the weapon in slot 5, which is the Hammer weapon. So that helps explain that. Like I said, I don't know if this info is helpful in any way, it's just some stuff I found out. Either way, I wish you luck in your journey to get us a 6th character. |

This certainly sounds interesting, but I have never played Kingdom Hearts, so I don't what Critical Mode will be like in terms of difficulty. So you're saying leveling up doesn't help in any way, except for 10, 20 and 30? Or are you saying you just don't get HP until those levels? Either way, it does sound challenging. Just be sure to strike a good balance between being really hard and being possible. I've played hacks before that literally come to down to being lucky in battle, which is never very fun for me. |
