Just one pic from my upcoming game, Super Mario Eternity: Secret of Forever Isle. Now tell me, what's different about Yoshi? (Not that he's blue, that's obvious...) ____________________ |

Posted by ImajinPosted by FirePhoenix0 All I did was make the texture the same color as the dirt part. It's supposed to be a beach level, but I don't have any ExGFX for it. Maybe I'll use the cave ground for it because the texture is closer together. As for Yoshi, notice that the red, green, blue and yellow palettes of the Koopas are the same as they always are. Yet Yoshi, who uses the green pallette, is a cyan instead. See it now? ____________________ |

Basically, I changed Yoshi's palette using Tweaker to one of the changing sprite palettes, aka one of the palettes Buzzy Beetles and Eeries use. Basically, using custom palettes, I can have Yoshis of any color I want in any level. So far I have Cyan Yoshi, Light Green Yoshi and Crimson Yoshi. ____________________ |

I tried hacking Super Metroid. That was a terrible idea... ____________________ |

Oversalty rice flavored with chicken boullion, chicken, and string beans. The rice was really salty and trying to wash the salt out didn't work in the least. ____________________ |

Saw a comic at the webcomic Metroid: Third Derivative where it showed Drewseph's Redesign and I searched for it. Found the hack, then spent ages looking for help on it. Eventually ran across Acmlm's Board at one point but did nothing with it. Later, when making my own SM hack (which shall never see the light of day), I grew tired of trying to get help for it on the Samus.co.uk forums and remembered Acmlm's Board. The rest is history. ____________________ |

Hey all.
Ok this is going to be the last time I switch around the plot, overworld and level design of my hack. (Maybe not the name of it but that's a different story.) Here's the plot: (The plot is done as if Super Mario World never happened so he hasn't met a Yoshi, found a Switch Palace, etc.) Bowser has kidnapped the Princess and taken her to his underground hideout in a far corner of the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario has bravely followed his way to Bowser's castle, ready to rescue the princess from his clutches. Mario enters the castle and gets partway in. But, Mario finds he can go no further because he'll need to find two "Switch Palaces." Unsure what that is, Mario has no choice but to explore Bowser's Hideout and the forest above ground. And so begins Mario's quest to save Peach and defeat Bowser. The Forever Isle will be later in the hack, but not in the demo as of now. The plot may seem dull as of now, like one that's overused but what's one to expect plotwise from a demo? It'll get better in the full version. Some of the levels will be familiar if you played earlier demos of my hack, before it was what it is now, but most of them have changes to fit their new world placement. You guys are actually getting a little more of the demo than I wanted to give because I tested the first demo I made and it was corrupt. Since I made the demo though, I’d already started the third world and had all the events worked out to get there, unlike the first demo. And, I couldn’t find the old file so I just had to cut off my file at the very end of world two. (The first was a little less that two worlds.) Ok, enough rambling, here's the screens: I'm pretty sure I know most of the glitches in the game, but if you find any at all, let me know. Demo download link: super mario eternity.zip - 0.31MB Enjoy it! (I hope the download works, I've been trying all afternoon to get the silly file to work right...) ____________________ |

I won 2nd place in the Physics category at my school with my friend and made it to Regionals. (Groan, that's almost like losing!)
Our project is "The Effect of a trebuchet's Fulcrum Point on the Projection of its Payload." We built our own five-foot tall trebuchet and tested different fulcrum lengths by hurling a tennis ball. As a counterweight we used 15 pounds of bricks attached to the end of the arm. I wonder how we'll do at Regionals. I'm not too hopeful, seeing as we're going with a 2nd place prize... Has anyone here ever gone to a big science fair? Is it really as boring as I was told (i.e. go on a Friday, set up, come Saturday and sit by your project for 6 hours, come Sunday for judging and awards.)? ____________________ |

I'd like to see the attachments field return soon. I spent a good deal of time today searching for a decent file hosting site to put my hack demo on. The attachment field was so useful because you didn't have to put your fiole somewhere else. I hope it gets re-implemented soon.
That and EDIT. ____________________ |
