The Love Theme sounds decent (I guess), but I suppose that it's one of those songs that sounds better if you know the context.
Tetron's theme, on the other hand, captivated me as soon as I heard it in the trailer and augmented/was-augmented-by one of the most legitimately "epic" and intense final bosses I've experienced this year. Still, even though I nominated it, it's not my favorite track in the game. I prefer the songs for Army Storage, Guardian Zone (10/10), and the Core. However, I felt that my obession with those songs was a result of some rather strange eccentricities of my musical tastes, so decided to go with the game's most "awesome"/"epic" song instead. |

Both songs are good, but when trying to compare them I can't help but feel rather indifferent. I'm going to abstain for this round, unless a tiebreaker is needed. |

Match 3 is a tad difficult considering the songs have drastically different tones. However, after listening to both songs several times, I've determined that (for me) Please! Help Me! has more staying power.
For Match 4, I'm going to vote for the Mega Man 3 song, even though I don't think it's that good. Tales music, while competent, rarely does anything for me. |

Match 5 is actually pretty tough. I nominated the F-Zero song because I really like oppressive-sounding songs, but man that Ocean theme is good. I'll have to think about this one for a bit. EDIT: I'm voting for my nomination (Chapter 6).
Match 6 is easy. The Decisive Battle is a much more engaging song. |

Match 9: The SMG2 song reminds of why I'm not particularly fond of orchestrated game music. Clash on Big Bridge, on the other hand, is a really really good battle theme. Not top tier, by any means, but still excellent.
Match 10: Field of Expel tries too hard (especially for a world map song). Within the Giant manages to be much simpler and much better. I could listen to it, like, forever (dude). Uematsu wins this round. |

Brackets A and B are being treated as one super-bracket. The only reason they're separate is because this contest was originally going to have 32 songs, but then it expanded to 64 songs. I would have just expanded the bracket to 64 songs, but Bracket-Maker seems incapable of changing the size of a bracket after it's been made, so I just made an extra bracket. |

I don't really like either song for Match 11, but Fury Sparks at least has the decency to not bore me to death.
Match 12 is considerably more difficult. I'll have to think about this for a bit. EDIT: I'll have to go with the Zelda song. It's rather soothing. |
