I made a patch that makes the the title screen to say "Mega Man World" like the Japanese version. Except for one tile, all of the graphics were already in the ROM. I have no clue why they didn't bother implementing it. The title screen data is at 0x1814B-18226 with the graphics right after it. It also looks like the graphics and data for "Weapon Get", Wily Castle, and Wily Space Station screens are after it.
In other news, I've come closer to fully deciphering the level format. It looks like a lot of pointers are involved, making it difficult to edit by hand. :/ |

Confirmed DLC from manual (stolen from GameFAQs):
- Endless Attack: A never ending level where players compete for who arrives the farthest. (300 Points) - Hero Mode: Play the whole game on a higher difficulty. (100 Points) - Superhero Mode: Play the whole game on an extremely high difficulty. (100 Points) - Proto Man Mode: Play the game as Proto Man (200 Points) - Special Stage: A brand new stage with a brand new boss for Time Attack. (100 Points) Total: 800 Points I hate this kind of stuff. |

I played for over an hour and a half and only beat 3 bosses. I think I played about seven of the stages before even beating a boss. Currently, I'd place this as the second hardest Mega Man game, right behind 3 for the Game Boy, but that's probably because I'm not used to the game. |

Earlier in the thread I said "any console MM game." Ironically, I've done the opposite.
I also wouldn't mind hacking Metroid 2, especially if I could get it in color. Also: GM, stop pretending that you're a mod. |

I remember when I was young that I sucked so badly at Super Mario World that I had to ask my Mom to help. The farthest either one of us got was to the Butter Bridge.
I remember playing ALttP when I was younger, but I never beat it. I managed to beat most of the Dark World dungeons, but didn't know what to do. Another SNES gave I have is Imperium, which is a fairly mediocre shmup. I've never gotten past the second stage, and I don't feel like trying. Although I played it rather recently, I recently beat the NES game Metal Storm without saving states (except in the place of passwords). It's absolutely brutal yet brilliant in places, though I'll never be able to complete expert mode. Never. |
