Well, first Neil hit Drury, and now 8g7y0>Janssen cold cocks Kaberle. What is the league coming to?

Janssen got suspended 3 games, BTW.

yeah, and now Simon used his stick as a baseball bat, and a NY Ranger players face was the ball.

oh, and the Neil hit on Drury wasn't a late hit (it occured less than 0.5 seconds after he passed the puck).... but it was a high hit. I personally think what happened after the hit was far worse than the hit itself. Hitting is part of the game whether the intent is to injure or not. However telling your "enforcers" to go and get some of the top line of the other team is crap.

oh I'm sure Simon will get suspended. Hopefully he'll be out for the rest of the season, or at least as long as the guy he hit. There will probably be some review by the league today about what happened and they will decide on punishment.

In my opinion an intentional hit in the face with a stick is grounds to suspend for the rest of the season. I mean this is much worse than a hard hit or a late hit. This is purposeful intent to hurt. He deserves a strict punishment.

Well, from that replay it didn't look like the player he hit is going to be out for too long. Probably some stitches and he'll be back in the line-up. Hopefully.

As for Simon, yeah, he doesn't deserve to play the rest of the season. He'll be this/next years Bertuzzi. A cheap shot for no good reason.

Seriously, the hit on Simon may have been a little dirty. It may not have. But if Simon didn't like it he could have just dropped the gloves and pounded the guy or hit him back later in the game. I mean, the game itself allows for the other team to get some retributin for bad hits or whatever, but this is not one of those ways. Really unfortunate too because Simon has improved since his days in Calgary. He was becoming a good power forward and this may cut his career short.

Good. We don't need another Colorado happening. A team that is finally back in the swing of things and then they move.

And they were one of the 6 original expansion teams. You can't move one of those teams.

That is all.

Yes, yes it is.

Buuuut..coke is better with rum *thinks* But I did have rum with Pepsi two nights in a row and it was goood......so I retract my statement.

I am also part of the few that actually liked Crystal Pepsi. Man, I miss that stuff.

I don't think there are many on these forums that were old enough to remember crystal pepsi.

I think goals like that are going to create a rule change.

I think it should be a goal if the puck crosses the line AT ALL. That way there will be substantially less confusion about whether or not a lot of these reviewed plays are goals or not. Cause a lot of the time the puck "vanishes" under a pad that is behind the line therefore it's not a goal cause you can't see the whole thing across the line.

Well, we now know the final four.... Ottawa and Buffalo and Detroit and Anaheim.

Predictions out of these 4?

Well.... as well as Buffalo played, and they dominated that game from start to finish as far as I'm concerned, they are heading with a 3-2 loss to Ottawa.

And for the third straight year a canadian team has made it to the finals. Maybe this time Canada will take the cup home this time.

I was excited for maybe 5 minutes until I realized that this game isn't close to coming out yet.

2008 release date? boo

I'll play it of course, but I doubt it'll be as good as it's going to be hyped up to be.

Wrestling was at it's peak when WCW became an actual contender.

Without competition the WWE has been allowed to wallow in it's own self-absorbed little world.

And I honestly hope Vince is dead. I couldn't stand his strut.

Well, they said on Vengeance that Benoit didn't show up because of personal reasons but I doubt they would leave out the fact that he was dead.

Hopefully it's not true. Benoit ruled.

of course it wasn't as good as the book. Movies never are as good as the book (or video game for that matter).

However as for the series of movies I thought it was just as good if not better than the previous 4.

I did enjoy a more extensive use of spells this time.

looks like the hit that Armstrong from Pittsburgh put on someone from last year. Almost exactly. Although I don't remember Armstrong leaving his feet. I think it was a fairly cheap hit and the young kid should be suspended for a short time to hopefully get the point across that hits that high just aren't allowed. The hit could have been done in such a way as to not have caused that kind of injury.

yeah well, sounds like McAmmond will be okay. At least that is what I remember hearing yesterday.

I really hope that they nail this guy to the wall for this. I heard he was smiling and laughing about it on his way off the ice. That's just not right. I'm hoping for a suspension of 20 games or more at least.

not that he's ever going to play now.

He can only serve those games in the NHL but he's probably not going to be playing this year.

either he's going to be so damn good that they will call him up just so he can serve the 20 games and then play or Philadelphia will be such a bad team again that they might as well call him up to serve the suspension so that they can use him next season.

But it's not likely that they will want to waste roster and salary cap space on this guy just for the sake of maybe playing him when they aren't sure if he'll be a big help or not.

I am impressed that I got the number of games right on the suspension

well, it doesn't really look like Toskola is the solution for the Leafs. 7-1 pummeling tonight against Carolina.

really not a surprise.

It was a cheap shot. All he had to do was cross check in the chest and the punch in the face and they would have been fighting. Instead he knocked Kesler out and got suspended.

Philly may have a better team than last year but that won't matter if they keep losing player to 20+ game suspensions.

must be too early to catch any video on that cause so far I haven't been able to find anything to see how the hit actually happened.

I really hope the league fines the team for this. I realize it's not the teams fault exactly but this is the third(?) incident the flyers have been involved in this season so far....

Jones gets 2 games.

I guess the league believed that the hit was not done maliciously.

And I just watched the replay and the hit in normal speed from a far out angle doesn't look bad at all. When the close up shot shows how his back and neck and face look against the boards it looks worse.

I agree though, the hit did not appear to have any intent to injure. The 2 games is fair to me.
