and Im getting drunk on some of my secret stash of vodka. its cheap, but at 100 proof it definitely gets you drunk.
didnt go to school today either, and its across the street. man, Im loving life right now haha. I've just barely started and I'm already feeling it lol. Im on my second shot still (I've been making mixed drinks with tea, orange juice, and lemon juice -- lemon shots, screwdrivers, and twisted tea) the vodka is cheap 100 proof Mr. Boston vodka, not really good, but it does the job, esp when your young and have no job to buy better stuff... edit: my head is numb and I feel fucking better than I have in years lo.l. This is awesoem and I love it, if I have a problem than fuck it. Im justi chillin listening to music and Im not hurtiung anyone aside from myself. |

blind. My guitar playing is everything to me. And yeah, there have been blind guitarists -- stevie wonder played bass, theres this guy on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmJv15w0Ms0 , as well as countless others...
so yeah, I pick blind. my sight is a burden on me anyway. The things I see in this world that I want I'm unable to get, and only hurt me in the end, so good riddance sight if I had the choice... |

Im not posting this (this time) because I'm angry I can't get a wii. I've found things in life far more fulfilling than games, and spend my time there nowadays (friends, school, guitar, etc.)
I'm posting this because I honestly think its ridiculous. Nintendo should be ashamed of themselves. look at the issue -- its been almost 2 years since it's release and you STILL can't buy the thing without paying $165 extra for it. thats ludacris. by now, nintendo has had enough time to stock every home in North America with a wii -- its seems like they are choosing to release so few at a time. This is always the problem for consoles -- the first 6 months or so of their release, but 2 years? 90% of the people I know who wanted one already HAVE a wii (albeit they're old enough to get a job and have a car, but they had to hunt wiis down like crazy to find them). but you still can't buy one? wtf? this has to be the WORST marketing scheme I've ever seen or heard of. they advertise for the things heavily, yet make it unavailable. They're losing many consumers by doing so -- I know many parents that would have gotten younger kids (11-15) a wii but COULDNT so they didnt. I seriously wanna know wtf is up with this. Is it Nintendo choosing to release almost none at a time, are the rumors of UPS workers stealing them so they can sell them themselves (at 2x value) true? or is there really some resource issue I'm not seeing here... like I said, if you offered me one for $20, I probably wouldnt buy it (even severely underpriced like that) because, quite frankly, I don't have the time for games. But I honestly think if its the choice of nintendo to market like this, it will be considered the worst marketing scheme ever... remember, in about 3 years time they'll be releasing another batch of systems, and if the stock of wiis just starts hitting a year earlier, few will buy them. Hell, if they start shipping as the next gen comes out, it'll be another sega 32x, saturn, and cd marketing tragedy... |

but wtf is up with it. Why don't they expand at least if thats the case.
its ridiculous to have to pay $165 extra for something thats 2 years old. by now, they should be steadily stocking stores. and perhaps your local stores have had shipments because you dont live in the middle of the woods like me... I know for a fact that no store within 25-50 miles of me has gotten even a shipment in at all (unless they go RIGHT off the shelf before they're unpacked.) perhaps this is the sign of a worse issue -- maybe kids of all ages are forsaking social and physical activities for games more than ever. thats not good, we have enough child and adolescent obesity in the US I'm legitimately trying to understand here, thats all... |

yes but Im just speculating.... I never said it was guaranteed correct, just perhaps...
besides, you don't happen to be 90% of all wii consumers.... I imagine a majority of wii owners to be younger than anyone on here... although acquiring one might be hard for little kids... I don't know, there's certainly something influencing the sales. videogames have been widely popular for years now, and there hasnt been anythign quite like this... not to mention, everyone I know who has a wii is really disappointed in it. IDK about you, but most people around here are absolutely in LOVE with the 360, and as much as I hate to support microsoft... publishers are doing a better job of producing all sorts of games for it... as for the ps3, well, it seems like it doesnt even exist. I have never seen one, although I know they're available (I think). Nobody talks about them ever, and nobody I know has one, or wants it... I actually forgot it existed until this post... All I know about it is the sonic game they released for it is an absolute travesty (maybe the game is fun, but the storyline is so shitty, cheesy, and kiddy, it makes me ashamed of what sega's done with their old mascot...) I'm going to try and dig up some research on exactly whats different this time around... |

I'm sitting here bored tonight (nowhere to go for me  ), and I'll probably be sitting around tomorrow too...
When I got home today I sat down and played through a SMB 1 rom without getting hit even once (keeping the first fire flower I got lol...) so whats next on the agenda? I've got time to pound down some NES games, and possibly even SNES ones too, if they're not long. should I try to tackle the rest of the mario games (with absolute mastery lol)? or should I spend my time doing something else? idk anymore... |

wtf, I was just searching through random crap, and the old (non-touch) ipod 30 GB is going for $500 new.
the ipod nanos are $300, and the 80 GB is around the price of the 30GB... did they really hike the prices for some odd reason, or was the site hacked or something? I dont remember the prices being so damn steep when the things were new, and I definetly cant see them that high now... |

ikik kinda weird and kinda cheesy but w/ever.
I found out a girl I like is having a birthday party tomorrow night, and I out some decent thought into the gift, but idk what Im putting in the card... as for a gift, Im giving her a cute little glass ornament and a necklace I made (well, rather modified) to have a guitar pick on it, if you knew the person, you'd know the relevance. Im not exactly sure if I have a chance here, she probably doesnt feel the same way, but we're still friends if nothing else, so it can't be overtly fond of her or something. anyway Im not sure wtf to write on the card other than "Happy Birthday". I mean, I could go off and make some cheesy joke about her bday being on valentines day, but I cant think of one, or I could say "I'll be there whenever you need something to laugh about or someone to care" but thats just kinda cheesy too. anyone got any ideas cuz I sure as hell don't. |

Its really sad that there are no new episodes now (havent been for a few years), but I guess it had a good, long haul, and the actors/actresses all probably wanted to move on...
watching the show kinda makes me wish I could go back and live in simpler times like those... barring that it was probably a lot more complex in real life of course, but I'd still rather live back then. Better music, etc... the show itself is really hilarious I think. |

I just made a slight comment on the card saying its good to see her pretty smile again seeing as I haven't seen her in person in a few months...
I'm just going to do most of the work in person, not on the card, its much easier that way. I don't really care what happens as I'm not emotionally invested in the matter... and my grammar didn't used to be so bad either, then I got used to talking on AIM lol, and that screwed everything up. |
