Good idea... Although there are many other such little fixes that would be needed. |

Posted by ghettoyouth Aya looks a bit stiff, and isn't very well animated (which especially shows when she's big), in my opinion... but other than that, the game looks good. |

Surlent: your ROMs may be interleaved ? If that's the case, either you could go and look for a deinterleaved one, or deinterleave yours yourself, using NSRT. |

The Jap version also has an alternate battle theme that wasn't used in the English version, if I'm not mistaken... |

Blackhole: the first missing thing was clearly nitpicking, considering he was impersonating mario648, who doesn't use perfect punctuation either (and yet has to use a comma in a message).
Still, making a pic for something so trivial, it seems like you have too much free time... How about spending it on Solar Soundtrack instead ? |

Hey guys.
I'll keep things short, but feel free to ask questions... Smkdan has joined the Epic Racers team, so we have an ASM hacker on our sides now, letting us make greater things. We're quite happy to have him with us, and he'll help us break many old limits we had. Have a look at the newest version of the character selection screen (by the way, I posted the previous version here): Screenshot: Video: And for the record, Epic Racers is still far enough from being released. The main big thing holding us from finishing it is the making of our new Super Mario Kart editor, without which we can't remake the tracks the way we want them. |

I'd personally place the mountains much lower, and work on adding more substance to the sky instead. |

Posted by Legomen Funny, I thought recording a video and putting it online took more effort than looking for a common ROM. |

Posted by asher No matter what, blackhole's point remains: this is about you having troubles getting a ROM to work. Not you working on one. |

The Jesus driving on water has been asked times and times again...
I took it mostly like a joke, but if you mean it in a serious way, then I think that'd simply be impossible to balance. If someone can drive over water, that'd mean he'd have to be weaker than others on other points, naturally... but what if you're on a track with no water ? Then your water skill would be useless, and you'd be at a serious disadvantage. There's also the fact Loki would have to share Jesus' skill, else you would no longer be able to select a perfect "clone" of Jesus, in 2P mode. As you know, drivers go by pair, sharing the same stats, that way 2 players can pick a driver with the same stats if they want... In other words, technically, it's as if there are only 4 different drivers that you can pick twice. Yet water driving only makes sense for Jesus. Just saying that but it's not a big deal, as in Street Racer, drivers don't share the same stats, so you can't always pick a driver with the stats you'd like. We could have it the same way, if we wanted. Lastly, water is the same as lava in SMK, so you'd also be able to drive over lava... unless we somehow managed to differentiate the 2 by hacking around, like on a track-specific base. |

Posted by Raccoon Sam Not sure what qualifies as a real hack, but GlitchCog and Dirtbag are both working on "full" SMK hacks... Posted by blackhole89 I actually thought of having a "Super Jesus" with a code, who'd have the maximum stats in both speed and power and all... But I don't know if that's even possible for us technically. Clearly not a priority, anyway, easter eggs are for finished games. Posted by blackhole89 In case you missed them, you can find the latest (2006) in-game screenshots on my site... Those tracks have been done with TrackDes, but will all be scrapped in the end. |

Posted by chungy I can't see the point in trying to use valid XHTML tags on a forum that doesn't even have a doctype. |

Posted by blackhole89 Having saner HTML code on the net would make the life of alternative browser vendors much easier, resulting in better browsers, and also reducing the influence of Internet Explorer. Therefore, I have troubles seeing why valid HTML or XHTML suck so much. |

Posted by koala_knight I'd still make them bigger. Just compare them to pipes or ghost houses, even mere towers should be bigger than that. |

Posted by blackhole89 I would guess in the emulation. I've seen Phoenix Wright emu videos, and they also lacked transparency for when the judge would strike his gavel. |
