http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=3037 And this one's called "Atomic Spinwheel" for some odd reason. A description wouldn't do it justice. xD |

http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=3059 This is a regenerating cube, that requires you to navigate through re-appearing blocks to get to the core. There's an easier way, but it depends on how much fun you want it to be. xD |

Thanks xD
The tail going completely stiff was an experiment, actually. It's the weirdest thing, since every person who plays it without being told of the 10% switch always notices something change right that moment, and pauses to investigate. I'll probably replace the switch with something more useful (like boosters or maybe a laser, since like you said you tend to keep a distance in a straight line.) http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=3038 This one's called "Banshee" It's got a glitch in it I found, you can't possibly miss it. Something that's neat with how things switch between hidden and normal modes. I had to erase most of the tails because it lagged too much to be practical at home. xD But the neatness of this boss is how it's ghostly. You can pass through it without being harmed, even stand inside of it at length (provided you've destroyed the blades), but on every flash it absorbs any shots that were fired inside of it. ...More an experiment than a boss, though. Speaking of Tapeworm, I used that idea you mentioned. http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=3047 It's like a space rodeo. It uses events to change its speed depending on how far away it is, so it won't fly off into oblivion. |

Thanks xD
Color Guard! http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=3039 I wanted to make a Fraxy boss that's difficult to look at directly. xD This one's very easy to figure out, but also very difficult to destroy. |

Space Monkey! Oook oook
http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=3044 This one's not actually monkey-ish, but it turns out.. Making shapes out of spotlights is difficult. |

http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=3041 This one's called "Event Horizon" Just a mix of several different ideas, as well as a glitch I found. http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=3040 This one is called "Dim" It's something more of a concept map. I wanted to make something that worked more like a big puzzle. In this map, time only travels within 100 distance of the player. And sight ends roughly at 150 distance, except for some things. I want to make a flying boss like this, but haven't gotten to it yet xD |

I made this thing called a trainer for the new beta in Fraxy, (The really new one) using a program called Cheat Engine.
It's not actually useful for playing the game, but it's tremendously useful for testing long bosses for glitches in the game itself when doing so in the editor isn't convenient for whatever reason. http://www.mediafire.com/?wmnuoin4nbt |

Thanks xD
If you have any questions on how it works (Or in the case it doesn't, which is unusually likely) I can try to fix it xD |

That confused me the first time. In the About window I was supposed to have explained it I think, I might have neglected to. You click on the text next to one to activate it. It'll flash red briefly when it does so. Some are like toggles though, and won't un-turn red until clicked a second time. Also! Though it's not strictly required, the most consistent way I've found to make it work is to open Fraxy -first-. Then open the trainer exe and it'll spot the fraxy.exe and latch onto it. It might work the other way around, or several other ways around, but I haven't tried to see otherwise. Right now I'm making pointers for the different addresses in the trainer. (So that it'll be more likely to work from computer to computer) Though it's a somewhat time-consuming process >.< |

Might be a while before I can make it work unconditionally
The problem is that it uses addresses in memory to change things, and with some programs those addresses get up and move to other places under different conditions. I made the trainer using Fraxy right out of the package, without a CFG. Though it might not make it work, either >.> Still working on it though |

I have an idea for a tournament. I made a boss a short time ago that uses three events on each piece to make the entire boss so that only things that are within 100 distance of the player are played, and only things that are within 150 distance of the player can be seen.
It has the effect that the player is surrounded by a time bubble. I put a few puzzles into this Fraxy boss. ...Buuut. You can do things with that. Make pieces immune to the effect, and so on. I want to see what other people's ideas are on the matter, or if someone's beaten me to it. >.> http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=2361 Like this one here. |

Thanks!
I had a weird thing with this boss. I played through the whole thing only to realize that I could shoot the targets without navigating at all through the boss. In fact, you could probably do the same thing, but opposite. A ghostly boss that disappears as you grow closer, and stops moving abruptly. |

I extracted all of these into the same folder, so I have no idea which boss went to where, but here are my thoughts. xD
The one named "Arc Valourous" is kick-butt looking (as well as being symmetric in a cool way), but turns out to be very difficult to kill. You have to sweep in there between the weapon cycles with a charged PT Blaster to actually do any damage, and I did go around with lvl 1 bullets hitting the shields there for a while. xD A very neat orb-type boss I think. "azza.fed" at first made me think "Oh God the lasers >.<" but then when I found the boss-looking core, I was like "Yessssss." ...But destroying the boss core didn't destroy the other lasers. Once more the PT Charge came in handy. xD "Better than Expected" was neat too, though I was unable to reach the satellites besides the one that faced the player. "Bizzarity" was neat, though mostly for how its arms could be destroyed before its body was. I like things that can be destroyed, piece by piece though. xD The "Equivilent Exchange" boss was actually pretty neat, though I wasn't able to defeat it without spawning on purpose inside of the innermost circle and crashing into the main core/ shooting it with a vulcan. ....Though the magic circle shape that the outer satellites make is -awesome-! "Magic Circle" Don't forget to name your bosses in the editor. >.< "Why did I make this thing" I'll agree that making patterns with reflect lasers and ion rings is fun. Very difficult to beat though. Have you tried adding an energy wall to a spinning piece and varying its speed? It makes the reflect lasers do trippy things. xD "For the philosopher's stone" I had no idea that ion rings were destructible. Otherwise the pentagon shape is neat! Again the magic circle is neat. xD "Small bit Painful" was a surprise! Despite lagging a fair bit on my computer because of the flames (the longer flames stay on screen generally, the laggier they are. You can shorten their lifetimes using extra parameters just like bullets and reflecting lasers.) Otherwise I love how you can shoot this boss to pieces slowly, one bit at a time. xD .... It's kind of big to be called small though >.> "OWWW".fed is incredibly pretty. I love the arches affect the shields make. Also the repair pieces make neat colors. The whole thing is awesome-looking, and tricky to destroy as well. "Futility" isn't inspired by the Borg any, is it? "Impossibility Nova" is pretty too. I like the bullet patterns more than anything. Good thing I'm not epileptic. xD "Made of Awesome" is neat, especially with the shape of the boss itself. The shields here don't impede anything, and the missles get me every time. xD The disconnecting action is nice, as well. "Magus Insanity" looks EXACTLY like a giant computer chip! Is that effect intentional? xD It's not generally difficult otherwise, but its appearance as a computer chip is really neat. "Odd Combo" ...And this one looks like flying fireworks! Lags a lot initially though, with all the things happening at once. "Oh Wow" Overpowered lasers are overpowered. This one however was actually easy to defeat, after dying about twelve times. xD The hind satellites are very difficult to reach. xD "Stupidity" Neat bullets at first, but was I supposed to be able to kill it just by destroying the single outer plate...? xD "Too Much" is right. xD This would be an excellent boss if it were possible to have two players in the game at once. I had to use the PT Charge to kill some things, though. "Unfair Advantage" boss is... Strangely familiar. Pt Charge wins again xD "Will of the Abyss" actually looks incredibly like bullet hell. I'm horrid at actually playing bullet hell though (no hand-eye coordination at all, or reflexes, whichever that is), but I can see that extra parameters were -really- useful here. In general, my only problem was with the lack of destructible shields, though that's a personal preference. xD I like these bosses for their appearances, and the different shapes they make. And so many lasers and bullets. *Puts in another here too* |

*Nod* Aye.
Speaking of which, you know the forum code thingy for posting direct links to the uploader, right? You can quote people's posts to see the code for them I think. |

Posted by CrossTheRubicon IRC is kick-butt. It's basically an inverted instant messenger, where chats are the focus and private messages are not. The only thing is that most people use it like one too, and leave it running 24/7 only to pop in when something catches them. ...We could always offer imaginary free cookies in the channel. I've found the channel to be incredibly useful for exchanging ideas and helping (though more getting help) with making Fraxy bosses. |

The shape of the boss initially is soooo cool. xD
I need to try making a bullet hell boss sometime myself, I can't say much though because I'm horrid at it. x_X |

http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=3043 This one is called "Miracle Core", inspired by CTR's naming scheme at the time. Also, CTR helped tremendously with getting the moving joints working properly in the Spike core (you can't miss it), thanks! xD This boss is themed to mimick Miracle Matter somewhat, like in Kirby 64. It's not meant to be a -perfect- likeness, it's just the general idea of it. (Also, if you find any blatant glitches, please tell me, I've not found every last one just yet.) Edit: Make sure to run this on Rank 1! This boss becomes nigh impossible to beat otherwise. |

http://acmlm.kafuka.org/uploader/get.php?id=3046 I realize this screenshot looks vaguely like the cloudy beasty from Kirby's Dream Land, but this is actually themed after the circular core monsters in Metroid Fusion. It's named "Time Breaker", though I'm curious to see if anyone can hazard a guess at why. >.> Also, this boss's first stage is -FAST.- Even expecting it coming, I have trouble avoiding it right off the bat 100% of the time. It's fairly easy to do once you notice the physics it follows. \o/ |
