I go to the Philippines sometimes to visit family and such. I'm going there later this year (since it just turned New Year for me) as well as going to mainland and climb Fuji-san again, with friends this time.

Although some of my friends and family joke that being here is a vacation in itself, haha.

New Year's fun, I guess. 365.25 more days to do what you want/need to do, as well as set resolutions as such.

Supposedly what appears to be an endless rainfall but the weather predictions here are faulty. Right now, it isn't raining and it said it was supposed to this morning. At least it's above 20 C/68 F.

Three secret stages, three empty weapons slots... hmm.

Well, I already know. Does anyone else? XP

I think MM10 is a bit easier than MM9, well the levels anyway. The Robot Masters are generally harder than in MM9, and unfortunately on Hard Mode, they get new attacks. X___X

I agree with Mineyl, RetroRain. Sure, the amount of "new content" and impressiveness is not to the caliber of kuja killer's, Matrixz's or Puresabe's hacks, but that's Capcom for you. They discovered a golden engine and they're going to milk it for all it's worth. For most of us, it's been a charm every time, and Mega Man 10 still does a successful job of delivering a fresh truck load of new content while still having that ever-familiar appeal existent in most Mega Man titles.

I would recommend you at least play it, even if it's at a friend's house so you don't have to shell out/possibly squander your own money and give your judgment after living the moment, not just watching it from a video. Even if you are disappointed with it, at least you know that, being a large Mega Man fan that you probably are (and I'd think so, considering you were so hyped for it and even begun this topic) you can say that you've tried another Mega Man title. Whether you feel Capcom has lost its touch or not should be rated from personal experience, not secondhand. XP

I think one of the problems with us, being centered around ROM hacks is that we set our expectations awfully high after playing through masterpieces like Rockman No Constancy and the like, thinking that the standard Mega Man game Capcom themselves made is just that-- standard.

But for me, I'll be honest. I was excited for this to be released, while at the same time, not. I felt the same way, that it would be just another Mega Man game with refreshed ideas, and little more. Though by the time I was done, I was completely hooked. I was even motivated enough to play it on all modes, finish challenges, and even established my place on the All Clear leader board (currently 4th if you disregard hackers) And I know I'll be coming back for more with trying to conquer my current Time Attack scores and the DLC, which is definitely looking better than 9's set.

My only real complaint is that I keep accidentally hitting the stupid trigger and changing the weapon in mid-battle. I wish there was a way to disable this function. I've heard it's better with a classic controller. Maybe it's time I finally invested in one...

Honestly, I don't see how you people are having such a large issue with this. Hold the Wiimote as if there are shoulder buttons and that's an instant remedy to your problem. If not, then there is nothing else I can suggest, sorry.

On another note: I've been attempting to beat it on hard mode, and I'm up to the boss rush stage, but am dangerously low on E-tanks and have zero bolts (would have beaten Wily phase 2 if I'd been patient instead of cocky, but never mind). Anyone know if I can collect bolts in another stage, head to Dr. Light's lab, then get back to where I left off? I know in Mega Man 1, for instance, if you go to stage select, play another stage, then head back to Wily, you're at Wily Stage 1 again. Does that tradition carry through to Mega Man 10? I'm too scared to try--I don't want to have to beat that godawful morphing Devil boss again!

Unfortunately, if you visit a Robot Master stage and then reselect Dr. Wily's castle after advancing through it, you'll revert back to Stage 1. But if you just visit the shop, you won't have that problem. But since you're on Hard Mode, I can't suggest you farm the E tank in Stage 4 which is there in Normal mode...

Block Devil isn't so hard though. I'd reverse an E-tank or two if you really doubt your skills, but Rebound Striker works well against it, and use Triple Blade to get it when it shoots out the blocks at you (from below) If you need help practicing against him, do so on Challenge mode. After a while, avoiding him becomes second nature. =D

This is very cool, Kuja! Although... I am currently stuck, so your hack is not error-free. In Duplex Man's second stage, I went through a warp while it was on blue, then I warped back and noticed I went to a different area with a green hatch, meaning I could not go through it. Realizing this, I warped back to the previous area, and again, I went to another new area with a green hatch blocking my path. So that tells me your teleporters are slightly wonky. XP

The outside of Bolt Man's tower is still brutal to an unfair extent (I think) because there's no set time when the wind changes direction. I thought there was, so right when the wind was in my favor, I jumped. Then it instantly shifted to combat my progress, and I plunged. What I would suggest, to make it tolerable, is to have the wind blowing a certain direction for a minimal time (say, three seconds) before it can adjust. I know the idea is to have unpredictable wind, though when there are jumps largely dependent on where the wind flows, it's a game of chance with certain jumps. It's your hack, so it's really your call.

Other than that, it's a really nice hack. You have so much potential, it's almost blinding to me. Even with the slight glitches/frustration I experienced above, I am honored to be able to try this out. Thank you, and if you need help with anything, I will offer my services, what little I have. XP

This is quite neat stuff! The new changes make the game so much more playable; Blow Cyclone, a weapon that doesn't do damage, is one of my favorites in the game which I didn't think to be possible. A few of the bosses have cool ideas like Propel Man, Solar Man and Chemic Man; some are glitchy but I understand it's still in a demo mode.

My only real gripes with the hack are I think Chemic Man's level is a tad too difficult-- neat idea, but sometimes the way the level is set up is slightly frustrating. Chrono Man's level is also neat but again, a bit on the mind boggling to irritating side. Nothing that can't be fixed though-- overall, it is looking very impressive.

I plan to try and do another playthrough as soon as I get my other computer back so I can showcase just how much effort you alone (Matrixz) have put toward the hack. (In case you're wondering, I'm the one who did a playthrough of six of your stages when the unabridged demo was released) I saw what people put on qzecwx's video of the bosses and such negative reception caused you to cancel the account, but I say screw every one of them. If they had half the idea how hard it is to ROM hack, they would be much more appreciate of your work instead of going down your throat. Yes, criticism is appreciated, but it needs to be constructive and not just plain bashing and what they don't realize is that you don't HAVE to do any of this-- it's completely a hobby and you're expecting nothing in return other than satisfy people who love Mega Man. It's become a rat race especially with MI around the corner but you're still doing a superb job and if others are blind to that, they're selfish punks who take everything for granted and can't stop to appreciate what is GOOD in the hack.

This same thing happened to Infidelity and Mega Man Ultra 2, not necessarily the same scenario but it all boils down to people being ungrateful. But I say that you shouldn't give up unless you've completely lost passion in your hack. People always ridicule others for their talent when many of the times, they lack such skills to perform as well as the people they mock. It could also be jealousy, but regardless, you've shown everyone that you are an incredible ROM hacker and have strived for one of your dreams. You've put so much effort into your hack and it would be mortifying to see you drop the ball so close to the finish line because people in the audience are throwing some rocks at you.

I'll just sum this up by saying even though I have reservations about you resigning on your hack, I respect your decision and ultimately have no say in what you do. But know that there are decent people out there who truly cherish your hard work and will support you to the finish. I'm not a good ROM hacker by any means but if you need assistance, I'll utilize what little skills I have to help you reach your goal.
