I gotta admit, this is something really spiffy and I've only played a minute of the demo prior to this post. A question however I have is are you able to charge or slide at all in the demo, or do I have to unlock them? I remember being unable to do either in the Chill Penguin demo earlier this year, and those are two abilities I miss rather much...

They're going to be in the full version of the game, but they're completely absent in the demo. There's a capsule that unlocks the dash feature, similar to the X series-- a little hard to compute in correctly but it's still moderately useful, if not inconvenient.

There's another hidden capsule but it doesn't give you anything-- just a warp to the second half of the stage.

Plant Man also offers a very gimmicky weapon upon defeat, acting similar to Bomb Toss (you receive this from Mouser) but the sprites are messed up. Good luck defeating Plant Man though-- he's really hard. (thought you'd never hear that, huh? XP)

It enables the slide.

How did you get it to work? I've tried to use the capsule on various attempts and it doesn't give me anything. I know it's SUPPOSED to give the slide, reflecting off the teaser video.

I have a question for everyone that has made it to Slashman. When you defeat him, are you experiencing any kind of video tearing, or vram glitching of any kind?

I haven't yet. I love fighting Slash Man though, moreso than his MM7 counterpart. XD

Napalm Man, on the other hand... after you defeat him, his capsule doesn't work, and sometimes when you use it to go to the second half of the stage, the game glitches up really badly because the pipes act as spikes, thus forcing a game over.

Sometimes, when I fight the Bomb Man Met, when he does his spinning bomb toss, he'll spin right off the screen and you get stuck.

If you jump too close to a certain cameo character before the mini-boss in Subcon Valley, when he jumps over you, he gets stuck in a few frames, also forcing a reset. This problem won't threaten you unless you have Dash, however.

That's about all the glitches I can recall.

Very fun though! =D

I'm not trying to trun anyone off with my comments, and they're not directed towards anybody here. But c'mon, what has happend to learning how to get by something, and experiencing gratification afterwards? A perfect example of what I'm talking about, is back on Page 1, with a YouTube link "kuja killer" pasted, of "zuschzero" slaying the Metool bosses without taking damage, and he even tells you how long it took him to figure everthing out. I have made this where, yes, your going to get hit on your first attempts, but everything is setup where once you know about something that you've already came across, your ready for it again, and you can avoid it without taking damage.

I can understand where you're getting at, and you're right. After enough experience, you can still breeze through things without much trouble. I can typically get through both the Forbidden Woods and Subcon Valley without getting hit, so after enough of learning how things work, it's not too bad. Except...

Plant Man. I think you really need to have some indicator on when the giant plant burrows out of the ground when he moves to that phase. I know it's like Drill Man and it's a timed event but sometimes it still manages to grab me or hurt me (because of how long it remains above ground) even when I move out of the way. It's also a little ridiculous how it negates invincibility frames so Plant Man is able to hit you again on the way down, and the fact that sliding or (in my case, since the Slide capsule didn't work) dashing seems mandatory in order to get past his final phase without getting slaughtered. I've tried a LOT to beat him but I just can't without at least 1-2 E tanks.

To answer your earlier question, both the dialogue was missing and the Slide wasn't enabled after using the capsule. But since you fixed the slide capsule, I'll get back to you and see if I'm still having issues. I much prefer the slide to dashing because it's an easy button press and I can turn around and shoot in the air. XD

And the glitch where the pipes become spikes... I think it only happened because I used the warp too much. Or it could be because Mega Man warps into that segment instead of just appearing in that position when you take the Snifit route. I'll try and get a video of it soon to show you.

Oh snap, it's already Christmas here so I'll be the first to say it on here.

Merry Christmas to all! Or if you don't celebrate Christmas then happy Hannakuh, Kwanza and a holiday season in general! I think I covered most of the holidays...

I like where DahrkDaiz is going, and I'm thinking what people could possible be thinking is if you started on the SNES or the NES, you notice games of that quality and feel are no longer being produced. There are plenty of gamers who are 'dissatisfied' with today's games because it doesn't bring them back, which is one reason why you see so many old school games being hacked to give the game a new, fresh feel. In order to 'keep all audiences happy,' so to speak, some companies are regressing to their old roots which got the gaming era going in hopes of welcoming back those who've given up on gaming. Meh, I don't really know where I'm going with this-- the way to look at it is if making a series of retro games will recover gaming industries. For Capcom, this seems to be a wise move because aside from Nintendo, I'd say they were the biggest contributor to making games and creating popular franchises.

Hopefully this makes some sort of sense?

I gave him the idea for renaming him Chrono Man, haha. Even AFTER the name change, I still keep getting dumb responses from people saying 'Timing Man is such a stupid name, blah blah' as if I made the game. >____>

I think I've gotten myself 'stuck' a few times in Guard Man's stage, to where I had no choice but to kill myself but if you're speaking about getting stuck as in not being able to move, then no, that hasn't happened to me yet.

Although Chemic Man's stage gets ridiculous around the halfway point. I had to spam Haze Dasher to get around but I got to Chemic Man and beat him.

I noticed that in one of your videos, you were able to show the Rush Marine segment in Propel Man's stage, but in the demo, when you get to that part, the game freezes.

Okay, I'll stop.

Ahh, but there is an indicator to when the giant plant comes out of the ground.....it's very vague, but it's there. May I suggest looking into the backround when it comes time for the giant plant to appear............

Ah, okay, yeah I see it and it's helped. You should fix when he moves into that phase because the plant is almost impossible to avoid-- as the grass went into the ground, I dashed to the other side of the screen and somehow, the flower from where I begun my dash somehow grabbed me, then it gets a big buggy and goes up the screen twice before spitting me out, and the biggest problem is Plant Man is right there so I get comboed. It's happened quite a bit. D:

But other than that, yeah I see the indicator. I felt dumb after I figured it out haha. Thanks. XP

I'm also going to see if I can somehow fix my Super Snifit Door. Been getting responses from users that the door will appear, but the sprite that initiates the warp is not present.

What I do is usually just wait awhile and move around until I can get it to work. I've had that problem but I think it's because when you kill Super Snifit, it takes time for the sprite to load. Maybe?

Yeah, I still can't beat that final boss.
I'm probably just going to stock up on energy tanks.

Black Hole Bomb is your best friend against Wily because it'll devour all of his projectiles. But I suppose you could also just stock up on E-tanks. XP

Kálvin Attila

Well yeah...can be strange for non-hungarian people.

I've heard the name Attila from somewhere else before as well (can't remember the person with that last name, though...) and Kalvin sounds like it could be converted to Calvin if you were to 'Americanize' your name. It sounds like a cool name.

So yeah, basically what Kawa said.

Dang, paulguy, is that hair color natural? I don't ever think I've seen hair as... bright as yours. o____o it could be the severe lack of white people around here though. XD

Well, today (or rather, yesterday since it's 130 AM here) was my 20th birthday which means I'm 'officially an adult' so I can drink and do all that fun stuff. So here's an 'old version' of me, taken earlier today. I was debating on whether or not to wear a samurai suit but I just decided on something more simple. XP

20thBirthday

My shirt's brown, the lighting is not the greatest though...

And I look taller than I really am. I'm only about 167 cm, which is between 5'6"-5'7". I blame my Asian blood, haha.

*sigh*

Again, the weapons DO NOT WORK

This is what I wrote not too long ago, it's from my previous post.

again the weapons were never ment to be used since alot of them are destroyed asm, or deactivated, or some custom asm is overlapping them, causing undesired effects.

Eh? Bomb Toss seems to work just fine. It isn't a very good weapon but it works fine. 'B. Cutter' or whatever it is doesn't work so well but I've never had crashing problems with it.

Tri-Shot is buggy but like you stated, they weren't supposed to work.

Hmmm... I wonder who else you plan to put in the game. From what it seems to me, you have one Robot Master from each game, following...

Mega Man 1 - Bomb Man (met version)
Mega Man 2 - Alien Wily (just because he's only the size of Robot Masters) and Bubble Man makes an appearance in Forbidden Woods (not the Zelda dungeon XP)
Mega Man 3 - Spark Man (met version)
Mega Man 4 -
Mega Man 5 - Napalm Man
Mega Man 6 - Plant Man
Mega Man 7 - Slash Man
Mega Man 8 -
Mega Man 9 - Magma Man (met version)

I do really like where you're going with that, and I wonder who the reps from 4, 8 and possibly 10 are going to be. I had actually thought of something similar myself but you beat me into constructing it and couldn't have done a much better job. XP

I was using Cement shot since it was doing tons of damage, heh.
I've only gotten to the 3rd phase twice though.

Concrete Shot is great for the second form as it's his weakness-- albeit somewhat risky because of having to be close range, but for the third form, his weakness is Plug Ball and he throws out shots that are pretty difficult to dodge-- this can be negated by setting up a Black Hole Bomb. I believe you can also blow away shots with Tornado Blow but I haven't tried myself. Wily is a fun and enjoyable fight but after you get a hang of him, he's a cinch.

If you're looking for additional help, I suggest Youtube videos. =D

The snow was actually all gone on Christmas Day, which was really nice. It was even all gone the following afternoon when I woke up, but then all the snow came back within a couple of hours after that. More has come since then. How has everyone else been holding up?

I held up just fine considering I never get snow but I heard the upper Midwest America was practically drowning in snow... perhaps it'll subside soon for you guys.

I really don't understand why the DSi has picture features. I swear, it seems like the Japanese want cameras on everything. The camera on my phone is 8.1 megapixels, almost making my Nikon Coolpix seem obsolete. Perhaps the times are beckoning for cameras all around but it seems unnecessary and overdone at times...

And now, instead of making phones small, they're considerably bigger. The DSi XL is another sign of this. Oh, anyone remember the Game Boy Micro, I think it was called? That thing was ridiculously small. =/
