I don't know who told you that, but you are mistaken. Tales of Phantasia uses no special add on chips*, it just has a memory mapping chip that can address the full 48 megabits of the rom simultaneously. Star Ocean, on the other hand, uses the S-DD1 chip which is mainly used for fast decompression (similar to the SPC7110 used in FEOEZ). In any case, all SNES carts have a memory mapping chip. Having one that can address 48 megs is nothing special, it's just exotic.

I do believe I read it in ZSNES's cartinfo

boingboing: check the wiki, we actually have map16 pages reserved for people in the levels table. Also, xeruss, since I'm the one who's going to be assembling the final version of the ROM (unless it goes to bh89 after that), I'm just going to go by the ExGFX files listed in the levels table on the wiki.

Actually, I use that table a lot.

Basically, any thread with over 1MByte of content needs [56K].

Now, VWF probably -would- take up extra memory in vram, which may not be as readily accessible as CPU cycles.

I stopped reading the posts because they were getting moronic. If any of you actually took the time ot review his video, I missed it, and I'm having to put up with my sister as it is, that's bad enough.

At any rate, it looks like it has promise. Defintely you'll want to fix the perspective issue, but apart from that just keep going and remember that the engine is a platformer, not a top-down rpg game. Good luck!

Because you're forgetting that countries do not include the personal wealth of their residents in that calculation; The money is in the hands of private interests, not public ones.

There's your simplest answer

Because generally what one country owes another, and what is owed back, are in completely different categories i.e. Australia might be on the hook for x dollars for y product, but germany might be on the hook for z dollars of b product, and the companies that produce these products each want to see their share of the money.
beyond that, I believe countries like India and China are actually in the black as far as finances go.

Basically, paper/physical money and electronic money are different. Countries and banks use gold as an international standard of monetary trade, whereas within individual countries paper and physical money is used. The way electronic money fits into the puzzle is that it replaces paper money, e.g. you give the teller $50, and (s)he will give you that much electronically, normally this number is stored on the bank's secure (hopefully) system, and is accesible via a plastic card with magnetic strip- when you use that at a restaurant for example, the restaurant has a comptuer which connects to the bank's computer system, and transmits the data on the card, along with the transaction details. If the data is valid (correct pin, anough money for the transfer, etc.) then the amount of electronic money you have is reduced, and the restaurant's is increased. This sytem can also be used across countries, as the transfer of electronic money also implies a transfer of ownership of your gold- stored in a vault such as Fort Knox, to the coffers of whoever you just bought that $50 Starbucks latte from. although the Gold then does not actually move physically, that tiny piece of the gold bar that once belonged to you now implicitly belongs to that starbucks store. There's more to it, but enough of this wall of text.

If you can find -a- computer you can plug it into, try running chkdsk. Also, what condition are the contacts in? It may end up that you'll just have to run chkdsk or some other utility, and, unfortunately, have to simply erase and re-format the entire card. And that's if you're lucky.

Could have been any number of things. It would have been easy for it to have just been a bum card, and if you got it online, could, I suppose, have also been a cheap knockoff. Anyways, try plugging it in, and when the drive shows up go to command promt and run chkdsk on it (IIRC, the command is chkdsk /f X:, though it might be /r)

They only just got it working. Used to be, everything would be drawn in a section only a pixel big due to some bizarre method of drawing FuSoYa used.

Most of the latest posts are in The Landfill.

Frankly, if you ask me the site is 'inactive' because there's really no reason for people to join. There are much bigger boards out here, and if there's any reason for people to join, it is, IMHO, Lazy Shell and other up-and-coming projects that really aren't anywhere else.

Also, I highly doubt main pages are essential for a site. Facepunch Studios should tell you that, all their main site is is an image url to their forums.

Improper English will get you a warning much faster than proper English, too.

Also, whether 'sux' is word in another language or not (it isn't), we promote Proper English-UK or English-US speak here, other languages, of course, welcome.

Also, any news on LS? I'm quite interested in how development is going for you guys
