Working on the baserom. I've also added in a newer sprites handler I got from smwcentral that'll remove the sprite tile limit, so sprites aren't going to be disappearing.
EDIT: scratch that, I open up the README and about 10 sprites (some of which are nice ones to use) aren't supported. Instead, I'll ask if we can happily do without these sprites: SOME THINGS THIS IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH: |

Boos themselves are still usable, just not the ceiling variety, the ghost ship fading ones, or the 5 eeries. The two sprites that would really be a loss are the Lakitu and the "Amazin' Flying Hammer Brother." |

Try adding "echo mysql_Error();" after the mysql_query() functon calls, sometimes that happens to my code too; it'll seem to work, yet nothing goes through. |

I don't care about the koopas, they were never going to be used. Are you saying that if we use index 00, it'll work with those sprite? Odd, I thought there was some problem with using 00 |

Can I ask for the information you have on the SPC instrument tables/etc? I'd like to add a specific sample to the SPC, used just once in the game (and so I don't want to use this utility, since that'd increase load times for everything unnecessarily).
Basically, I want to add a sound effect entry in the SPC, without actually adding the effect (this will make no sense to you, but please don't doubt my madness; there is actually a method to it) |

Hm, when converting a level from normal GFX to custom GFX, it seems I've found some odd behaviour with the line-guided platform sprite- if the MAP16 tiles directly below the horizontal line guide tiles is not 025 (or maybe just page 0), the sprite treats it as an end-of-line tile and reverses direction. Not even 'Act As' changes this behaviour
I'm looking into this more. EDIT: Looking into this more, I've determined that anything from page zero works fine- and tile 0FF works great as a background tile. |
