Currently bored, so I thought I would also showcase these here:

I assume this is forum must be proper place to show off SMW2 hacking related stuff, since a YI hacking forum doesn't seem to exist...
Looks pretty good so far, keep it up.

This is the right place to put your screen shots because there isn't enough interest in hacking Yoshi's Island to warrant the creation of its own subforum.

I haven't really been following Pokemon since the DS games. Are the new Gold/Silver ports worth playing? Are they even out here in the states?
I love SoulSilver, I'm playing a battle-only translation while I waiting for the release. My only issue with it is that the ROM crashes consistently in Violet City.

What are you playing on?
DeSmuME is the name of the emulator. I like it a lot better than no$gba because it can actually render polygons without seeing the frames of the shapes.

Most of the ROMs I have run at full speed, but then again, the ones that run full speed are the ones that don't use 3D textures.

You said the Cane of Byrna was in an unlocked chest. I know I'm making this assumption based on the original, but the Cane of Byrna was in an unlocked chest and the Cane of Somaria was the one in the locked chest (Misery Mire). I take it this was changed?

no$gba works wonders, but it doesn't savestate for me.
DeSmuME is a lot better than no$gba, it runs a lot of things no$gba won't, even if it means a slight speed cut.

Ninmario, are you using compatible versions of the cards and game ROM? The e-Reader is region locked in the sense that everything has to be from the same region or it won't work. Meaning, you need all three Japanese e-Reader, Japanese card data and a Japanese ROM of SMA4.

I apologize if I missed the point of the argument since I admittedly don't read this thread and only skimmed the past few posts.

There's Avast Free Antivirus. I'm not sure if it's open source, but it does real-time scans. You can get it over at cnet downloads.

We picked up eight inches of snow last night. I woke up this morning at about 10:30 and immediately went to start shoveling the driveway. Since I did it by myself and the snow was heavy from it starting to melt, it took me roughly four hours and my shoulders and upper back hurt.

You could also update the driver through Device Manager.

I already knew about both of those, although,if you've only played alttp, you might not even know about those tricks. You might wan't to rework that puzzle, just to make the hack more accessible.
There's a room in Ganon's Tower in Dark World that has four faeries, a bunch of arrows and bombs, and I think a few recovery hearts in to that requires that you boot jump in order to reach. If I remember correctly, you have to bomb jump your way back across the gap to continue on to face Agahnim.

No, you can just pegasus run into the wall and it will send you back across the gap to continue on.
I just did a practice run, because I plan to do a Let's Play of LttP, and the room I was thinking of requires a boot jump to get over, then you can Hookshot your way back across, and the room had less than I thought. It had one bomb, a full magic decanter and two faeries. I know saying that was pointless, but I figured I might as well correct myself.

The game's definitely harder. Alltp is a bit easy, Para. Worlds is a pain, I wanted mine to offer stiff resistance to the player. But you should see the stuff that was cut from the final version.

I'm looking at Link's graphics right now that I exported from the same version of RoR that's here. In the editor, he no longer has his hat, and he doesn't have it when I play. Try doing a normal save, that might fix the problem. Otherwise, I'll investigate it a bit, see what happens.
I feel compelled to try your hack now just for the fact I'm looking for a challenge that doesn't drive me absolutely insane.

I'm usually pretty good at puzzles like that, as long as you're not throwing me at it with 2 faeries and a measly 3 or 4 hearts.

EDIT: I downloaded your latest demo from the original post and it will not run. I patched it to the ROM and it loads the blue triforces and then a really glitchy titile graphic, then it crashes when I try to move on to the Character Select screen.

Maybe it's the fact I used an already patched ROM to patch yours to it. I can't seem to find a ROM compatible with any hack patch. I've searched several places, too.

I just did another search, and I found a massive dump of different versions of the game, I picked one of the out and it worked. I'm ready to take a look at your hack now. I'll let you know if I get stuck or whatever.

@Brzdzx: No, it's in beta still.

@Torin: Big red flag problem with the first dungeon, I can only find one crystal switch and it requires me to have it be on orange to leave the room, but there's two places that require me to have the switch set to blue. To make matters worse, the only path back to said crystal switch is blocked by the treasure chest that has the small key for the room north of the Silver Gauntlet chest. Unless I missed something, this is impossible to complete.
