Has anyone noticed, when porting Japanese games over to American carts, they remove the Stupidest things, or change the stupidest things, that they don't need to?

For an example, when porting bouken no Link (Zelda 2), to Zelda 2, they changed the overworld monsters to slimes. The enemies look ALOT better on the Japanese version.

Things like that.

Why do they do that?

Rather than hack your own router, why not find the reset button on your router (They all have it), press it for 10 seconds, then reconfigure it?

If it's adware, try Spybot, it's a nice little program that catches stuff that Adaware does not.

If it's a virus, I would reccomend running Avast.

I would say Avira, except for the fact that Avira has a pop up of it's OWN every time it updates your data files.

THis started I think a few days ago. I was using Pidgin, and I noticed a contact from MSN kept trying to re-add me back after I tried deleting him.

I finally gave in, and re-added this person, and they still don't show up on my list.

Now, this person is not any type of hacker, but, a musician, that I don't talk to anymore.

Now, no matter WHAT I use, Pidgin, online IM, Real yahoo,,, None of my MSN contacts show up online AT ALL.

Does anyone know what I can do? I tried resetting, and that didn't do it.

Believe it or not, that was one of the videos I was watching before I mentioned this.

Pay close attention to the monsters on the overhead map.

But they don't just do it in this game, they do it in MANY.

Castlevania III they remove most of the altar on the intro, but, still leave the cross in. They just dumb it down.

Another disgrace, and I mean total disgrace is "Kamen no Ninja - Hanamaru" turned into "Yo! noid".

They changed the music on the first few stages, and the graphics, but, toward the end they didn't even try to change things, at all.

They left most of the last few stages the same graphics wise.

It's nothing but a "Fancy" text and graphics change. It was a bad change.

Definite. Both real Yahoo and Pidgin, and even the online IM sites, don't show the MSN members online on yahoo, even though they are online.

And I'm not trying to block anyone, I just don't see any one from MSN on my yahoo list.

I didn't know that. Sou that's what happened.

I think Nintendo DOES think people are stupid, and/or can't handle the difficulty of things.

You ever note how much dumbed down some of the games we get are?

Like the Japanese versions are harder, and we only get the easy types.

I would think you'd have to be on the forum for hours and/or spam alot to get that to happen.

I think Nintendo is finally realizing that the US can actually HANDLE difficulty.

Finally.

Wish I could help. Couldn't using something like Hexecute to expand the rom, then having it jump to a specific spot work?

Since you're changing the format of the rom,,, will this affect the music format? And if sou, are you going to include a music editor?

Why not examine what each number in hex works, and have it change the hex by changing the notes *Not explaining it well, but, you might get my gist.

Edit:

Oh oops. I didn't read well enough!

I couldn't get it to do much, and ran into all kinds of problems. I finally gave up on it. But, I would love to have an editor for Mega Man VII.

There are alot of SNES games with encryption in it.

For example:

Super Bomberman V, you can ONLY see the characters, Not the blocks or text or ANYTHING else.

I wish I knew ways around the encryption.

I'd love to translate Super Bomberman V.

And I'd love to edit Mega Man X as well.

I got it to open literally ONCE, and then couldn't repeat the same results.

Your file was deleted from the site. Could you repost it to a more stable place?

I'd like to see what this hack is like firsthand, see if there's any ASM, or anything like that changed.

But you definitely need to repost the file.

When I ran it, all of the characters are, like, flat.

What can I do to fix that?
