I moved this to ROM hacking as it seems that this is something in constant development rather then an actual final release.

smb2 does have a level editor. (It's on Romhacking.net) Problem is that the level data is a cluster fuck pain to work with. (I have tried, I was working on a SMB2 hack a while back.)

Another problem is that the level data is not documented very well, therefore, making some changes are impossible without further study on the ROM. That being said, there is quite a bit of info on the data crystal to make most changes one would want too do.

If one want to edit SMB2, I would actually recommend using the SMAS editor that is in the works. Not sure how much SMB2 support it has, but it is at least still being worked on!

Title screen fix fixes the title, but it destroies the ending sequence. However, the new title screen fix was released by Red Scorpion, but it came sort of to late to be in the release. The title screen problem is actually more of an emulator thing, since snes9x can't render it correctly, but the title is not broken in Zsnes. Since I had the entire game tested, I didn't want to include some new code that could make the game crash elsewhere.

Did you test it in BSNES? That one is the most accurate SNES emulator.

Well I only posted to notify about the image url change. I only thought I'd add my view to the thread.

To be honest, I don't care that you edited it back, but the reason I edited it was that the embed does not load for me as is. If the change made it not show up for you then I think that would be a good sign to find an image hosting service that is more compatible.

ROMs are (unless specified) copy written, it's therefore illegal to distribute. Any site aiding distribution of copy written content is guilty, even if it's the users who do it and not the ones who run it. So, yeah; There are good reasons why we don't allow it.
