And like I said, MON spelled it wrong, why didn't you quote Boo instead?
See, that's the problem. He spelled it right, BooUrns was wrong. Look it up.

It's GBA SMW.

I don't remember what all was on that version that's not easily ported to the SNES version, but it's good to see an editor for it anyway. You can never be sure what's hidden in the game.

Besides, the version of Luigi you could play in that one was pretty cool.

...What the fuck is wrong with L-canceling?

I can understand the complaints about wavedashing and SHFFLing, but L-canceling is neither terribly complex nor particularly gamebreaking on its own. It's like complaining about people who roll.

(Yes, I know L-canceling's not in Brawl. I usually tried not to let my aerials hit the ground, anyway.)

I think everyone else used a video-capture card to record it directly from the game. Pretty sure the actual replay files can't be directly converted to videos.

I agree with BooUrns and Ailure. The gray blocks look too light for the tower, so they clash anyway in addition to being hard to see and therefore bad for gameplay.

It's a GBA game, MON.

As for the error message... They could've made it just start writing in other RAM, but I doubt you want your savegames corrupted or something. I think crashing the game with a heap overflow message is far more graceful.

(In theory, memory corruption could cause the message to pop up in normal gameplay, but I think the only way that's likely to happen is with a dirty cartridge/slot or something.)

Still a neat editor thingy. How'd you find it?

My vote would be for Mega Man Zero 3. Awesome game. Tight controls, amazing powerups (shadow dash = win), fun bosses.

Other games worthy of note included X3 and Battle Network 6... even if they did make the idiotic decision to cut out all the Boktai stuff. Oh, and Mega Man & Bass was pretty good, too.

I wouldn't advise Machop or Geodude for starters, unless there's going to be a way to get trade-only evolutions without trading.

That said, I would love to see a Poison, Grass, Ground trio, but unfortunately those types don't really have the Pokemon to make it work out without having a second type that either overlaps one of the others or completely wrecks the rock-paper-scissors style.

I don't think they've changed any type advantages since Gold/Silver added steel and dark (and made poison neutral against bug).

It's everything else that changed in the later games--the physical/special swap in D/P/P is the main offender here, although natures, abilities and the 510 EV cap in R/S/E/Fr/Lg created a major shift as well.

...Steel is super-effective against Rock. Always has been, probably always will be. The chart was misread.

From the looks of that vid, only sprites have been moved. I doubt well be able to make a full blown hack of KSS anytime soon.

Oh?

Same person's Youtube account.

EDIT: And another. I tried going to the site linked, but I couldn't find the tool used to make those there, if there is one.

If you're having a level 5 rival battle, the Pikachu and Geodude are particularly poorly-matched. Mareep may be better; it starts with Tackle, which is still weak against Geodude, but at least inflicts damage. Pikachu at that point has Thundershock and Growl, neither of which do any damage, and there's no way it'll last long enough to start Struggling.

They'll say whether it's p2p closer to release date. Right now, it could easily be more than a year out, and odds are they haven't made that decision yet.

That said, I'd hope it wouldn't cost money for online. I mean, it's not like Blizzard doesn't have WoW to make copious amounts of money...

Just because they can, they will rape you of ever last dime in your pockets.
Yay unfounded paranoia!

(Because they totally did that with Diablo, Diablo 2, Starcraft, Warcraft, Warcraft 2, and Warcraft 3.)

Besides, I rather doubt they want to add the competition in the "paid online games" field to their own game.

Clearly, he deserved 2 marks. One for proper spelling and grammar, one for FIGHTING THE SYSTEM.

(Unfortunately, he was deducted the other 25 because "fuck off" didn't answer the question he was asked.)

Honestly, this isn't news. I think US AP exams can give you 1 point (out of 5 or 10, I don't remember so well) for irrelevant answers, and that's... significantly bigger than the 2 out of 27 the kid got.

I mean, he still failed on the question, yes?

That's a key point of our banking systems, in my opinion...
If the bank can't take money from my account to lend to somebody else, where does it come from?
You're missing the part where they actually do that.

The bank doesn't necessarily have all the money it claims to; if it did, bank failure couldn't occur, by definition.

Aaahh?... They have fantom money? And they charge you interest and fees on fantom money? Money that "doesn't really exist"? Wow. That'd be cool if I could do that, right? Hey, Skreeny, here I lend you invisible money, at 16% interest, what do you think? Do you think this makes sense?
Yes. It's called a "bank account". You may have heard of them?

Yeah, they translated it though... which I didn't quite understand. Why bother translating it if you're not going to implement it? Then again they also ignored all the events in Emerald like Mew...
Celebi in Crystal depended on the mobile adapter. The mobile adapter depended on Japanese cell phones.

If you would've liked to be forced to buy a Japanese cell phone, a plan for it, and the mobile adapter just for your little green pixie, by all means don't let me break your illusion.

(This was back when US cell phones were... umm... a bit poor, to be quite honest.)

Also, the Old Sea Chart (along with the Ho-oh/Lugia and Deoxys items) was given away in the US; you just missed it.

At any rate, D/Pe have had plenty of event Pokemon easily available (I've got a Deoxys and Darkrai from the Toys-R-Us and Gamestop promotions, respectively, and I know I missed the Phione/Manaphy events), so odds are that we'll have no trouble with the Platinum events.

The Secret Key (the only thing for Platinum so far) was/will be (still hasn't happened yet, even in Japan) available over Wi-Fi. I can't imagine them not releasing it for the other countries.

Also, Tyty: Nobody has gotten the actual Shaymin/Darkrai events. Japan got both of those Pokemon from movies (you go, they download them to your game), while the US has only gotten Darkrai from Gamestop.

Arceus doesn't exist as far as anyone has officially said. Nobody knows when an event will make it available, but it'll probably be when there's a movie focusing on it. Like Darkrai and Shaymin, it's not likely to be the actual one available in-game.

(Also, unless they change something, the Shaymin you get in-game will not be eligible for its Sky Forme in Platinum. That's only for the one you get from the movie/whatever venue in the rest of the world.)
