Try increasing your font size (quite) a bit, NightKev. It's noticeable when you get about 7 or 8 sizes above "Normal".

I opened a thread in staff forums, drama hit me, I proceeded to close tab.
And to think, I just looked at Sonicandfails' post.

Oh, and the candidates for new staff members. But that's private stuff, so I won't tell.

I too saw HydraPheetz' profile/PMs. Sorry for the invasion of privacy.

I'm thinking that if you use the right-click menu to disable it, it's permanent. I don't remember, but I'm pretty sure I disabled the little ad that way.

Or I may be wrong. It was a while back, after all.

EDIT: Just now disabled it again. I opened the program, turned off the ad, opened a file in the open window, closed the file (leaving the window open) then closed the window. Opening it again had no ad.

I'm sure fewer steps are required, of course

The definition of unexpected...

Smashville!

Did anyone predict an Animal Crossing level?

Also: The game does in fact do things based on the system's internal clock.

my computer doesn't have cmd.exe
Windows 98 XP is funny that way.
Win9x based systems always had command.com; because they were the more common ones until XP became commonplace, it makes XP the oddity.

(I'm ignoring the other NT-based systems since they weren't used too much for homes.)

Surlent: It's called the MS-DOS Prompt in 9x, not the Command Prompt. It's a small difference, but to the uninformed it's a big deal.

The relevant part of the error I just got:

* blackhole89 spilled soda on the terminal keyboard,
* All configured parent caches are currently badly configured,
* The server is in a bad mood and wants to piss you off, and
* Today is a Friday 13th, which means that everything can (and will) go bad.

Anyone up for making a list of all of them?

If I had to guess? At least one current member of staff nominates you and the rest come to (something resembling) a consensus about it. Failing that, the main admins agree to it.

Am I anywhere near accurate?

*Concrete Skreeny is silent.

*Concrete Skreeny falls and crushes half of the worms on the opposing team.

(cpubasic: Have you never seen Star Wars: Return of the Jedi? That was Ackbar's defining line in that movie, right when the imperial fleet appears and the Death Star starts shooting stuff.)

I caved
Canadian dollars, right?

Please tell me it's not US dollars. I got my copy of Pearl for 30 USD. Rather recently, in fact, although I've seen it for anywhere from 30 to 40 dollars.

I swear the critical hit rate for enemies is off. There's no good reason for Mars' fat cat (Purugly?) to OHKO half my team the first time I see it because it gets 3 criticals in (almost) a row.

AlexAR: Good choice. Dawn of Sorrow is quite fun.

Type "cd" and then the directory the files are in. For instance, if it's in C:\SNES, you'd type in cd C:\SNES and hit enter.

If the directory's name is longer than 8 letters or has a space in it, type in the first 6 letters (skip spaces) and then ~1 for it. For instance, C:\Super Nintendo would become C:\Supern~1.

In cases like that, it'd probably be easier to just copy RLM and the ROM file to a directory that doesn't have spaces in its path, and is shorter than 6 letters or numbers long. Then do the above, but with that directory.

Hey, did you know Wikipedia is part of the vast left-wing conspiracy? And so is YouTube, if an email I got at work is to be believed?
Irony: The "conservative" version of YouTube actually links to YouTube for most of its videos.

Did you perhaps notice the white outline around the Pokeball? Might wanna watch for that kind of error.
Next time, matte it against a black background when you rotate it. That'll get rid of the white outline.

Huh... It's almost unrecognizable, until it gets into the main melody at the end.

(It's Corneria from Melee, if anyone doesn't recognize it.)
