Thanks for that imprecise and rather inaccurate suggestion, really. You're a dear.

OP: Check the ROM address thread stickied at the top. The Big Boo tilemap may be there; if so, just alter it to use different tiles for that part of that particular frame.

If it's not there, then it's not known yet.

Sorry I can't be any more help.

EDIT: Snap, beaten. That first part was directed at the "Edit the ASM" comment, not icegoom's thorough explanation

EDIT AGAIN: Sorry for the mistaken identity, Mattrizzle. That post seriously did sound like something icegoom would post, though

However, if these goggles I just saw work when I buy them, I might be able to see through all this madness, but that's unlikely.
The goggles! They...

You know the rest

(Yes, I bought them. Because I'm awesome that way, and they still haven't put the MS-DOS Prompt back in the Accessories set.)

Whoa, whoa, whoa!

You filtered comment tags!

People tended to hide them in dumb, thoroughly obvious ways, anyway.

- Adding support for one-post-only anonyminity in forums like Femine's Corner is a similarly bad idea.
That's the particularly tragic problem, I'd have to say. Although wouldn't it be possible to allow people to PM an admin for approval for an anonymous post? Would hopefully give the desired protection (Sorry Drag, but I have to look at you for that one), while not allowing the capability for anonymous assholery.

Indeed, some people do deserve to be banned but I wouldn't blame everyone for being silly. I mean, I been in lots worse spamming than this in the past, but those events are looked up as some kind of golden age. :/

The question is what qualifies as just simple spreeing, and what qualifies as actual bannable offenses.

I'm rather sure there's a difference, at least. For one thing, the simple spreeing doesn't involve constant flaming and filling every. part. of. the. board with spam.

Look at the last couple sprees, for instance. The Danielle one was one thread. The one before (if I remember right) that was 3 threads, of which 1 was killed early.

EDIT: Added in the relevant quote. Sorry for my constant editing today.

I don't think the obvious concern would be that the usernames would reappear. After all, Xkeeper said HOW many times that he could still tell who was who, and that he could and would ban people.

Dumb question: What does /bcm mean?

Nowhere near, HyperHacker. If nothing else, you can kinda sorta see the Pokemon graphics in G/S/C if you use a normal tile editor; in R/B/Y, you see nothing but gibberish.

My parents just figured out how to use the AC correctly -- me. I'm the one who has to place the switch onto "On" instead of "Auto" or "Off".
I don't think you're quite getting it, sorry. (Hint: That controls the fan. Nothing else. Setting it to "On" just means it runs constantly... Auto makes it run when needed.)

My house tends to sit in the low 70s, although if it gets very warm outside, it can go into the upper 70s. A few degrees warmer for quite a bit less of a bill, heh.

Or perhaps they didn't need anything so complex any more since they doubled the cartridge size for G/S/C over RBYG. Keep in mind that you compress stuff out of necessity, not out of some sense of "tradition".

No need to talk about the GBA games for obvious reasons.

Supposedly the helmet is the main one to cause it. I'm not sure, seeing how I don't have any equipped, but that's what I heard.

I'd actually suggest you take the background and make the colors closer to the sky's color. A faded look, if you will.

As far as the .tpl problem goes, you should probably just export the relevant one within Lunar Magic. I know the option to do so exists, I've used it. I think it's in the palette dialog?

Don't try to cheat and get the admin-only stuff. I know you aren't messing with Xkeeper's Goggles, because I both previewed and bought them without problem, and the only other items with quotation marks are *cough* illicit ones.

That, and the 'eq99' kinda suggests you're trying to get something in category 99, which, amazingly enough, doesn't have a matching field in the character data.

I disagree with that logic. The company does not look at "That project makes no money!" They look at "That project can cause people to not give us money, because they can get something similar for free". Meaning that supposition 3 is blatantly false; infringement of a copyright would also give them money, despite the lack of profit on the project.

And like it or not, there's at least a halfway decent chance they would in fact not lose.

Assuming they'd have to bother to go to court, anyway. It's more likely they'd simply threaten to sue. That's enough for people who don't have the money to burn on fending off lawsuits from giant corporations.

Honestly, taking an opinion like that is like jumping on traintracks when a train is coming and betting that either it would stop, or you would overpower it WITH YOUR BARE HANDS

Okay, in less bummerific news... The project is looking awesome. Best of luck with completing it... And cherish whatever obscurity you have!

Actually, trying for myself in Firefox, "Fairy's Dagger" and "Thief's Dagger" refuse to Preview properly.

Somehow forgot those two existed for my last post

Of course it doesn't work. Towns are specifically designated no-wild-Pokemon areas. Just run around in the grass in Pallet in R/B/Y/FR/LG and see. As an alternative, you could probably repoint a few of the wild-Pokemon-capable maps, add warps and such and make them into (what would be seen as) towns. That may be a bit too much work, though.

The routes look very nice. The towns on the other hand... For the first screenshot, I'd suggest not using the Secret Base trees. It's misleading. Shuffle the border trees around a bit so it doesn't look like it still has the outline of Oldale (I know you moved the buildings, but something about it still screams "I USED TO BE OLDALE TOWN" at me).

Wataow... Just redo it. Use the grass and water if you like (They do spice up the place, I'll admit), but given that that's the only visible change from Littleroot, it needs a lot of work.

Best of luck and all that.

Wrong grass. There are two squares (INSIDE bounds) at the top that are inside Pallet, although it looks like they should be on Route 1.

Yep. Akumajo Dracula X: Chi no Rondo (would've been "Castlevania: Rondo of Blood" in all odds) was distilled (/butchered/broken) into Akumajo Dracula XX, also known as Castlevania Dracula X or Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss, depending where you live.

Never got far in Rondo. Can you still Item Crash the Key to do the whole RAWRPOWERUP thing followed by the "?" bubble? Since I found that rather disturbingly useful in the SNES one.

While you're charging up, you're invulnerable, and failing that, it gives you a bit more height on your jumps, as well as being a nifty way of dodging attacks. I used it almost religiously for one of the bosses... The headless lance guy, if I'm not mistaken? It's been a while, I don't remember so well.

That underwater castle (take the alternate exit in the second red-dot level) is freaking EPIC. And the leaf shield (hit R in the 4th level) is rather neat, too.

I'd be more interested in the day/night change if it didn't look so crappy.
