I just took this picture a few minutes ago, so here's a very recent pic of me:

I'm nearsighted, so I usually wear glasses, but when I'm on the computer, I don't wear them.

Sort of a "friendly giant" thing going on?

At least from what I see, yes.

That's an interesting way to see it. I guess it wouldn't help to mention that I wear a hoop earring on my right ear, huh?

I tried to make a bunch of "platformer" levels in Lode Runner GB's level editor. They were crap though.

Then I found out about emulation and nesticle. I changed the graphics in a bunch of games.

I forget how, but I somehow found YY-SMB1 editor, and I was amazed that I could edit SMB's levels. The rest is history.

Beforehand though, I was a programmer, so I'm mainly a programmer, instead of a rom hacker.

HydraPheetz and I played our games, and I won.

The 2p vs music is pretty nifty.

Edit: Also, I'm home this week, so whoever I'm going to verse next, let's try to get it in this week/weekend if possible, because UDP is possible for me now that I'm home, but after this week, I'm going back to school, where UDP is NOT possible.

I was diagnosed with ADD, and I was taking adderall, which also messed with my appetite.

I think ADD/ADHD is bullshit... it's just a name they give people who don't pay attention to stuff they're not interested in.

I'm assuming this is gameboy z80, since it's slightly different than plain z80.

Anyway, yeah, like MON said, certain registers are designed for certain functions. You'll notice that in 6502, you can't do every function with every register either. It's just something you need to work around. Foe example, HL is designed for indirect addressing, and can be used for indexed addressing, so you can do stuff like:

jp (hl)

but you can't do something like

jp (de)

You can also

ld a,(hl)
ld a,(de)
ld a,(bc)

but you can only do that with A. All of the other registers can only use (hl).

Augh, you guys and your freaking blue!

I like the fire wave theme. On the old board, with the rotating colors, my favorite color set was the red/brown one, during the day. The fire wave theme theme more or less gets those colors.

Nope, I meant the rotating color scheme.

Especially when people who you give charity artwork don't finish what they're doing with it, right? I would've loved playing that pinball game.

Yeah, school stress, your roommate keeping you awake and annoying you, having to flush someone else's diarrhea before you use the toilet, smelling cigarettes every day despite the fact that you don't smoke and you're in a non-smoking dorm, loud subwoofers being blasted a few doors down, girls getting overly dramatic and emo over relationships and other trivial things...

Yeah, it kinda saps ambitions and motivations out of you.

Edit: And don't even get me started on the stuff that happens at home that I need to worry about...

1.0.7 here, never had a problem.

A lot of people complain about firefox now, but back in the 1.x versions, it was great. I seldom ever have problems with it. The only thing that sometimes causes problems is java applets sometimes freezing the browser when they load, but that happens so rarely, it's not an issue for me.

This comic is actually pretty funny!

I wish there was a way to keep track of what page I'm currently on though... or at least a "next page" button.

Not bad.

I think the nipples should be a little lower on the boobs. Not *too much* lower, but still, a little lower. The only time they should be in the exact center of the boobs is if the boobs stick out perfectly straight and aren't affected by gravity at all.

There was a contest going on, where people entered and submitted their ten best puns. The people of this thread agreed to pool their ideas together and enter this contest. They picked the ten best puns from this thread and submitted them. How many won? No pun intended.

Edit: Oh also, a white guy, an asian guy, and an Irish guy (since it's March. ) all walk into a bar. Ow, what a bunch of idiots.

I call them braces. Like, open brace, close brace. That way, (paranthesis), [brackets], and {braces} all have different names.

I do it the second way:
void blah() {
[tab] yay;
}

for 3, I usually don't include the braces if there's only one statement. However, sometimes I'll need to add another statement, and I sometimes forget to add the braces. Other times, I don't forget. Later, if I need to remove the statements and go back to just one again, I'll leave the braces in.

For forloops and other such things, I sometimes use x,y,z, but I also sometimes use i,j,k, etc.

My variable names are somewhat descriptive. My temporary variable names are usually temp, yay, whee, blah, etc...

I sometimes add a p in front of variable names in function parameters if I have another global variable of the same name. This usually happens to me in java the most. Like:

int size

public void setSize(int pSize) {
[tab] size = pSize;
}

What the hell?
Why do so many people on the internet hate K&R style? I've even come across a class curriculum which specifically states that the allman style of braces are to be used, and that anything else is penalized. Penalizing for something as trivial as BRACE PLACEMENT?? I think the class should be more concerned about the actual CODE, because once that's compiled, brace placement doesn't mean a thing.

So yeah, a lot of people hate K&R style for some reason. A lot of people say it's "bad". It looks perfectly fine to me. If anything, the Allman style creates problems for me when I'm reading it, because it tends to space out lines too far for me. If I wasn't able to indent, then sure I'd use it, but indentation gives away the fact that I put an open brace there. All I need to see is how far I've indented something, and automatically, I know how many open braces (including the 'implied' ones) I have. So I save lines that way.

So anyway, I don't know why so many people absolutely despise it and cringe to look at it.

Also, apparently there's two variants of K&R:
if (blah) {
[tab] stuff;
}
else {
[tab] more stuff;
}

And the "worse" version:
if (blah) {
[tab] stuff;
} else {
[tab] more stuff;
}

So apparently, I use the "worse" kind of K&R. Yeah, I shouldn't give my code out to those picky programmers who will die upon seeing my brace placement, onoez!

Sorry if I sound a little harsh, but the fact that there are a lot of people who absolutely *HATE* this and actively PROTEST against it really sounds strange to me.

Hell, the next thing I know, people will start saying the "good" way of writing a 4 is like this:
L|, instead of the "bad" way, which is triangle 4's like in this font, which also happens to be the way I write my 4's.

Braces are, for me, unimportant; indentation and line usage means much more.

Example:

} else {

I see the "}" and relaize that it's an "else", since I never put anything else there.

Much like a line with just "{" serves to make me dislike it, because it's a wasted line. The indented code itself should tell you that you're in a code block.

That's pretty much exactly how I feel. Thanks for putting it in better words.
