Posted by NightKev Things that generate a *LOT* of hype have a large tendancy to not live up to it. Thus, be overrated. ____________________ |

Graduation for me (high school) wasn't that bad. The practice one we did during school was really boring, but it was cool, because we were finished with our classes because of it, while all of the underclassmen still had a week left. But yeah, sitting through *everyone's* names being called is pretty boring.
It's not so boring in the actual thing though. I actually found mine exciting, because I saw all of my friends graduating, and I cheered with everyone. My last name begins with "Zaz", so in any alphabetized name list, I'm usually the last one (except in the rare case that someone has "Zi-something"), or one of the last ones. Everyone graduated before I did, so that whole time, I was waiting in anticipation for that one glorious moment where I would walk on stage and finally get my diploma. It was exciting going on stage too! We did this at the Nissan Pavilion, so there were a LOT of people there. A *LOT*. Not to mention all of my class was there too. But it felt really good to walk on the stage and hear everyone cheering for me as I finally received my diploma. All of my high school teachers were there (somewhere, I couldn't see all of them). College graduation probably won't be as good, because there will be tons and tons of students there who I don't know, all receiving diplomas with me, as well as tons and tons of professors there who I don't know. That and nothing compares to the first time. But yeah, happy graduation, everyone! ____________________ |

It's so funny to see (now outdated) technologies be so expensive in the past, but you probably could purchase them for $40 today. Back then, PCs were a novel technology and electronics were more expensive than they are now.
We threw out all of our old computers... I had one of these, and I'm sad that I let my parents throw it out. None of my other old computers are gone though, just that one. We also have a PC Jr. laying around here somewhere. (Or at least, we used to have one) However, I still do have my commodore 128 (which I only have commodore 64 games for ) Is that Windows 2.0 on the screen? ____________________ |

Try looking here
I don't see your specific router in the list, but more often than not, routers that have the same brand name tend to be the same, or similar to each other. ____________________ |

Call me skeptical, but I still think wires are better than wireless. ____________________ |

Well hang on a second. There IS a such thing as a 2-in-1 modem/router. In fact, I use one.
However many techs assume I use the modem -> router setup, but I don't. ____________________ |

There, I clicked your link for you. Knowing how all of the OTHER "get stuff for free" schemes usually turn out, I'll pass. ____________________ |

EUROS!!
That's not how much you had to pay though... it looks like sales tax brought it up to a non-satanic 7 euros. Unless I'm completely blatantly obviously wrong. ____________________ |

Oh damn.
DAMN YOU and your lack of sales tax!! (also, I'm assuming some of those entries are coupons or something, because just adding all of that together comes to 8.08) ____________________ |

My only mess of wires is behind my desk. My computer peripherals run down the back of my desk, into my computer, underneath. My TV runs down the back of my desk too.
I have a desk that has shelves, so I stick my monitor, printer, etc on the shelves, and my TV sits on top of the whole thing. I have a 3-way input switcher that I plug my systems into. (or "system", I currently only have my Wii set up.) Basically, every wire that I use, I drop it behind my desk, so there's a lot of wires running down teh back of my desk, but I still know which one's for what. ____________________ |

I try to use my left hand as well as my right hand, but I'm mainly right-handed, right-eared (which ear do you hold the phone to), and right-eyed (when you point to something in the distance, which eye shows your hand pointed to the correct object). ____________________ |

To be completely honest, Vista seems like an incomplete OS. It might just be me, but there doesn't even seem to be a logo for it. (Startup is blank, just has the progress bar thing and the copyright, and the "Windows Logo" screen saver is blank).
Not to mention, there are countless bugs. One of the bugs I encountered with my mom's new computer is when it uses certain screensavers, the monitor never goes into standby mode... it just "wakes" back up. Not to mention, Vista has issues with certain hardware, not just software. For example, if you hook into a router, Vista may not like it. I'd say stick with XP (which seems to be hard nowadays, you'll probably need to manually install it) until Microsoft completes Vista and gets the bugs worked out of it. ____________________ |

Posted by GuyPerfect Picky! Whenever people say "Linux", their intention is "Linux-based operating system". If everyone called Linux-based operationg systems by their names, we'd have like 500 different operating systems. It's for simplicity's sake. It's like saying "I photoshopped this image" instead of saying "I enhanced this image using Adobe® Photoshop® software". ____________________ |

The main goal it seems was to cause an overwhelming urge to have sex. And yeah, if that urge is overwhelming enough, it's not that they turn homosexual, it's just that they *have* to have sex, which can cause homosexual behavior, but it doesn't cause permanent homosexuality. Hell, I'd imagine that that half of them would just beat off instead.
It's really questionable though... non-lethal or not, this isn't really something that people should toy around with. ____________________ |
