Coke still does. It's not like it's primarilly distributed like that, but the glass bottles of Coke are still in production, and are available at the beach/boardwalk I go to in the summers.

To be 100% honest here, I'd have to say you'd be better off buying the game. DS is relatively new, and there aren't going to be very good emulators for it yet. If you're really into not having to buy the games, you can still get a flash card that runs roms on the real DS. But either way, the best solution for playing DS games is on the real hardware.

I don't torrent at all. There are too many "unwritten" rules to abide by, and I'm almost certain I do it wrong every time.

GBA's dead, didn't they get the memo?

Couldn't they have ported it to the DS? I'm sure it would've been released that way.

This is what gzila's response/answer was:

You ALMOST understand the steps! Keep trying, you'll get there!

and then he says

Bun I'm pretty sure the part where I was closest was when I sent him my answer in Hylian. That's where his response in the forum is for. I just tried sending him a modified Zelda rom, whih points to a web address, which has a link to downlead an image which has my answer in hylian, bun my answer was wrong. Not quite sure how to incorporate the rest of the steps...

Well, we have the rest of tonight and tomorrow to formulate an answer.

Edit: Also, if it helps at all, here was my latest answer and response
> Zeldafreak bought the cart.
Nope, sorry.

Try looking at Step 1 again.

Edit: So I did take another look at step 1. I think the answer is the bolded text itself. I explained it to Okibi in my current email pretty well, so I'll just do a magical copypaste:

Anyway, I took another look at step 1, and I think I see how all of the
steps connect.

The bolded text on the page relates to each step, and I'll break it down
here:
The text:
The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time was considered odd because of the
inability to obtain the Triforce, or so it seemed. Many rumors can be found
on the internet explaining how to obtain the Triforce. My question for you
is... where is the Triforce located?

Step 1:
"where is the Triforce located?"
The answer, being "The Golden Land", was the password to the archive.

Step 2:
"Many rumors can be found on the internet explaining how to obtain the
Triforce."
Yeah, but they're all as fake as the rom that was inside the archive.

Step 3:
"where is the Triforce located?"
This part again? Well hey, that's because it's in a lot of places. The
Triforce symbol was used by an ancient clan to represent the 3 scales of a
shinto dragon. Therefore, you can find the symbol in a lot of places in the
real world, including the Zelda games.

Step 4:
"The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time was considered odd because of the
inability to obtain the Triforce, or so it seemed."
An explanation. In step 4, we had to explain something to get the next clue.

Step 5:
"My question for you is..."
...is in no relation to the rest of the translated text. This was the only
other step where we had to actually answer a question.

Finally, when you put all of the steps together, you get the bolded text in
its entirety.

Yeah, I've played them all! These are really awesome! (Also kinda creepy, but yeah)

Be aware that Submachine 1 has two versions, normal and extended. I think the extended version fits the series better.

This was what I got, in response to that solution I posted above:

The steps don't build the question, they tell you how to answer the question.

I hope we can answer this today...

Edit: Either way, the question we need to answer really does appear to be "Where is the Triforce located?"

So how *are* we supposed to answer this?

Edit: The answer is The Golden Land, or The Sacred Realm, but I"m pretty sure "how" refers to the method we need to use to give him the answer, or indicate the answer.

THERE'S MORE TO THE PICTURE THAN MEETS THE EYE!!

Also, your mouse knows more than it tells.

Edit: Hate to break it, but we've now reached the time where Okibi doesn't reply to his emails, so we most likely are on our game over screen.

Well, seeing as how I'm the only person on the internet who's capable of forming opinions of his own, and not relying on everyone else to form my opinions for me, I did this contest based on the chance that the rom could be real.

I mean, there's really not much to lose.

PROJECT ZERO MARCH 2007 CONTEST SOLUTION

Step 1: Answer question to get the password to the archive. http://projectzero.ratedo.com

Step 2: Determine the meaning of the contents of the archive. http://ratedo.com/articles/zelda3proto.7z

Step 3: Link 3 dragons in Zelda games to the Hojo clan, determine next step. http://projectzero.ratedo.com/itsafake.php

Step 4: Explain the quote and image, just what they are. http://threeeyerock.ratedo.com

Step 5: Translate image, determine meaning of the hint, question, and something else. sent via email

Step 6: If you completed steps 1 through 5, you are now on step 6. notified via email

The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time was considered odd because of the inability to obtain the Triforce, or so it seemed.

Many rumors can be found on the internet explaining how to obtain the Triforce. My question for you is... where is the

Triforce located?

Hints for Step 6:

Hint 1: Answer question

Hint 2: Determine meaning

Hint 3: Understand games and history

Hint 4: Know key points in games

Hint 5: Translate hylian

What you need to do:

Well, the six steps. You would need to do this:

1: "to answer the question"

2: "determine the meaning"

3: "how it plays in the games and their history"

4: "mention the key points in the games"

5: "translate it to hylian"

Or in other words:

"To answer the question, determine the meaning [of the object in question] and how it plays in the games and their history. Mention the key points in the games [of the object in question] and translate it to Hylian."

Email me the Hylian translation.

That was all you had to do!

That was Okibi's exact email to me. So yeah, that was the answer. Frankly, I'm not all that surprised that we didn't get it right.

Now that this information has been revealed, I guess the answer is something like:
The Triforce is kept in the Golden Land or the Sacred Realm depending on what game you're playing. The Sacred Realm tended to be able to be changed to reflect a person's heart, when said person acquires the triforce. Ganon is evil, thus the Sacred Realm would be warped into a dark world. As far as I know, this only happened in Zelda 3. In the rest of the games, the Sacred Realm served as a place to lock Ganondorf away.

All of this, translated into Hylian that is. I have no idea how Okibi planned on checking it. Hell, I probably could've gave him a Hylian-gibberish image, just as long as there was a lot of text in it.

Edit: The important thing here is that we now know what to expect in the contest. When the next one (with the z3 proto as the prize) comes up, if you guys want to try again, I think we might have an easier time with it.

Vanilla Coke was great. I wish they didn't stop making it. If they're still making it, I wonder why the stores around here stopped supplying it.

He attached a DVD to an nes, and it was useable?? He probably taped the two machines together.

Those sound effects sound really fake, and the screenshots look like he just took screenshots of genesis sega with an altered palette.

Way to go, you're a member of an extremely gullible message board.

Edit: Unless, of course, that was the point. Seeing as how nobody there has shot him down.

To be honest, I don't really agree with his way of doing certain things (for example, he didn't release the fixed BS Zelda rom because people were giving him shit about it... when if he just released it anyway, his credibility would go up, and people wouldn't be so hasty to jump on him), but I'm not attacking him over his way of doing things.

He might have the rom, he might not. We *don't know*, and thus we're not in a position to attack him over something trivial like that. Like I said, I did the contest based on the chance that he could have the rom. It's a 50/50 chance that he has it or not. If we won the contest, we'd (theoretically) be given the rom. If we didn't win the contest, then we wouldn't have lost anything, except maybe some time. If we won the contest, but he refused to give the winner the rom, THEN it'd make sense to be upset about it. It's true he hasn't posted proof, but you know something? Yes, the lack of a rom would equate to a lack of evidence. HOWEVER, the lack of evidence does NOT equate to the lack of a rom. This is my reasoning here. Yes, if he had more proof, it'd be a little easier to consider the possibility that he does have the rom, but since we don't have any evidence, we can't tell for sure.

In short, I take a "innocent until proven guilty" look, as opposed to 90% of the internet, which takes a "guilty until proven innocent" look.

So that's my opinion. Take it or leave it.

Is this board just a great big MythBusters (ROM EDITION) now?

One rom *hardly* qualifies us for that title.

I think it's because it took too long and everyone was lazy. Oh well.
