Hello guys. I am Xterminion, you guessed it, a newcomer. I actually am still a bit young to the game (since 2008 only, haha), but thanks to you guys, I am learning a lot of tricks (namely events) in the editor program.
I like to modify others' bosses, because it's easier to come up with a finished boss (though you may sue me for this, :p). But, of course, I give credit. And now I need your help. Here's a boss that I am working on that uses the Search Light's capability to trigger things when a player gets in it's lighted area. Xterminion's Bosses
I'll update this from time to time on a random basis. Main Series Xterminion-The Apocalypse A final boss based on Burg Hammer Achtzehn's The February 904 and has various tricks from other users, such as the regenerating barriers (Regenerator, the same user as the base model), the -player in spotlight LOS=bullet fire- thing (boss example that I used created by the creator of the game) and many others. Guaranteed to cause a lot of trouble for new Fraxy players yet challenging enough for experienced players. I also guarantee that rank 100 is... something that won't be nice. Xterminion-Egg Kyodai Robo A boss that I made. Based off forms 1 and 2 of Egg Kyodai Robo, which is Death Egg Zone's boss or final boss if you do not have all seven Chaos Emeralds (from Sonic 3 and Knuckles/Sonic and Knuckles). Destroy the Master Emerald Chamber/Small Core peeking from the cannon to win! Xterminion-Evofraction A boss made by JPteeto (oh, how I miss you, you created such masterpieces such as 13th Raven) and modified by me. This one has entirely new weapons (except the aiming bullet turret and dual spin blade) and is now harder. Xterminion-Evolve-O-Matic This, as well as the one above, are rather easy. It does have a trick though, but I won't be revealing it. This one is another of those that evolve, but this time it is damage-based, rather than time-based. Xterminion-Drone Controller A rather hard boss that takes advantage of having drones and uses it to it's advantage. I still won't tell what it is, but it also has the same trick in Evolve-O-Matic, and it both involves an extremely low health percentage. Xterminion-Lexo Assault Warship This was based off Jox's (also owner of the Lexo Empire) Lexo Carrier. This is basically two Lexo Carriers that are slightly modified attached to a Cancer Core. It still uses the same trick as the Drone Controller, but to a lesser degree. On a slightly related note: Lexo Assault Ship .fed file: 1100th file! Xterminion-Metallic Dragon A massive dragon that circles around a space of nothingness. This is based off Cirvante's Ouroboros and Eboshidori's Ragaraja. This guy is very difficult on Rank 100, just because of the massive amount of bullets it shoots out. This guy is pretty basic compared to the others, because it has no events. Go figure. Xterminion-Cyclone Battle Platform Inspired by a certain boss (stage 3?) from Axelay (yes, that shooter). This guy's not hard at all, and I recommend you to play it on Rank 100 because below that it gets boring. Gradius Series Note: Use Fixed enemy placement for better effect. Gradius Boss Class 1 This one is the start of the Gradius-esque bosses. These cores move like Gradius bosses because of a very special movement system that takes advantage of thruster devices. This is based off Ky123459 (from the original compendium)'s Rare Drone 9, gotten from his bosses pack. This guy is surprisingly hard despite it's simple package. Gradius Boss Class 2 This one's a little bit harder. The last pair of lasers get removed, but are replaced by a aiming panel with FOUR lasers in each side! Though, these came from CrossTheRubicon's Rolling Core, only slightly edited. Based off Rolling Core from Gradius 5. Gradius Boss Class 3 This one is rather different. It started it's life as a Tetran NES from CrossTheRubicon (I'd really just call him CTR from now on ) modified with Tetran Ver.2 (from him, again) arms, an added plate section, and it's movement system from Salamander. Then I decided that it was to be included in this pack, and then, we're here. He's not that hard actually, but it acts like what it's supposed to be. Gradius Boss Class 4 This is also different. The base model is Oneshiningstar's Juggle Core, from his Mediafire account. I modified it, stripping it bare of weapons and installing the weapons, and thus, I ended up with this boss which acted as it did in the original game (Gradius Gaiden, Stage 8, I.E. the boss rush, second to final (or third to final if you count loop 2 and above bosses) boss), minus the folding arms effect. Gradius Boss Class 5 This is actually the easiest boss of the series. The boss is based off CTR's Dual Big Core (which, in turn, is based off G-Type's first boss). Just be careful about the lasers, try to squeeze yourself through the laser patterns' gaps, and you'll end up victorious. Weapons Series Battleship Cannon Set Remember that battleship from the beginning of the video of Omoresu's Neo Angelo Nereus? Then you must have wanted that cannon for your very own Battleship. Introducing the Battleship Cannon Set, an exact replica of that very cannon! I have provided not one, but four variations, each with their very own weapon! Note: Credits to: Omoresu for that cannon design. |

Posted by Vic Viper Aha! Ok, here's what you need to do: 1. Create a Panel Rolling-S. 2. Set all things that move to Stop. 3. Replace all the Laser-S with blades. 4. For the first one, Extra Parameters (find the link in this thread) : 1. 1(on-off for more extra parameters), 2. 100(length), 3. 100(width) then for all others it's 1. 1, 2. 225, 3. 100. This part is trial and error, so test first, then change the position and/or the parameters of the blades. Also put the next blade at -30,then -30 higher than the last one. This must be the same in the frame settings at instruction #7. 5.Set an event on the Rolling panel that on frame 0, the Move Joints change to Act 11, Frame 0, and the Laser M and the Move Joints start moving. Note that there could be multiple events attached to the same condition. You can name it if you wish. 6. Event-If rolling panel is equal to frame 125, then play movement of blades. (Note: This is the start of the trial-and-error part.) 7. Event-If rolling panel=frame X(anything) then change move action of Move Joints to 12, frame to 0, stop Laser M and blades, and change attack frame of Laser M to 0, and blades to 0,-30,-60,-90,etc. (depends on number of blades) 8.Event-If rolling panel=frame Edit: You named the file and name in editor wrong. Ok, so I need help with a boss. This thing, from a game called Super Aleste (Video about the bosses of stage 8-11,stage 8=boss that I am recreating ), is named Nont and is the boss of stage 8 of this game. The problem is, the machine is powered by variables on the destruction and making parts vulnerable. You'll have to destroy all 20 pieces of the outer armor which is the outer tanks (the inner ones are just for show, you'll know why it's placed there when you see the actual thing) which is powered by variables, right? Then, when all of them are destroyed, it blows up the armor and reveals the true thing. Here's the problem. When the outer armor blows, it is supposed to send a variable to the core that will make the parts vulnerable. Seemingly, it fails to turn the parts vulnerable, thus making it impossible to defeat. Can you help me?
Link: Nont Edit: More problems. Ok, here it is: Whenever I try to turn on BGM on this certain copy of Fraxy, it fails to play, plus, if you exit it by clicking the X button, it reveals the problem: Error#1. Notes: The files have no spaces, no capitals, just a number. They DO work, as I have tested on other computers (on 20090204 though, so that might be the problem, but this occurred to me before in the version 20090204, so i dunno ) and they work properly. Can you help me please? I don't want to have the hassle to open another program then try to time them as perfectly as possible. |

Aurgh. Ok, let's start! You know the specify rolling panels, right? They're supposed to be powered by extra parameters. But which? I need you guys to post all the extra parameters for this part and their purposes, value limits, etc. And also, please put them in the extra parameters tutorial in the Redux Wiki so that others can see them more easily. I'm needing this because a certain boss that I am making has an attack that has a phase that requires the rolling panel to return exactly to it's original heading point so that no modifications of the pattern's direction of appearance will happen. But that's impossible, so I have to use many things to return it there. And also, is the marked speed equal to exactly number/frame? |
