Having produced novel-length fiction myself, allow me to offer a bit of advice: before you start writing in earnest, know exactly where you want to end up. If your characters have to break as the climax of your story, it will need to be a memorable moment for the reader, even if it isn't for the characters (although it should be.) The best stories surprise both the reader and the writer, but the latter should always have a firm idea of where things need to be in the end for the reader to come away from it with that tingly feeling you get when you finish a really good book...

I can almost whole-heartedly agree with all of this. The only thing I would be iffy on would be how exactly something would end up. I write with ideas in mind but I don't write with the ending in mind. Obviously, I've got an idea but not a concrete one until it actually happens. I find it makes it look less forced that way when you get up to the very end of what you're trying to write since, a lot of the time, unless you have this outlined THOROUGHLY it's not going to end out the way you originally planned it and it may just end up even better than when you started off.

Yeah, I'd have to say I agree on that front. I know what general direction I'm going in, but I won't know what ending is "right" until I've hit the nail on the head.

I had this strange dream one night where I found myself in a house that was all white. There was an out of control party going on and in the center of the room I saw big bird... Big, Yellow, and PLASTERED. He had a party hat on and was yelling stuff about the letter A. I woke up crying because hey, I was like 7 when I had that dream.

Um, for lack of actual "Yo Mama" jokes, I will quote South Park:

Chief Running Bull: Son, your mom is what we like to call... bear with WIDE canyon
Cartman: What?
C. R. B.: ...doe who cannot keep her legs shut.
Cartman: uhhh
C. R. B.: ... Your mom's a slut.

Self explanitory. If you hear a great quote on tv, in a movie, or in the book you're reading... share it!

I'll start:

"My balls and my word... I don't break em for nobody. Got it?"
Tony Montana (Scarface)

I live at a 4 now, and its a private road, so the only houses are 1-6. My neighbors across the street, therefor, have 1. Umm, I used to live at a 14, and this one road near my house stretches for miles so I've seen numbers in the 8000's. My ex lives on this road... he's like 6672 or something. I dont remember.

Oh my gosh, I am extremely jealous.

Are they absolutely adorable? Cute and cuddly? How annoying are they when they grow up?

You know? They're not really all that annoying! We have one rooster and a ton of chickens (full grown), and the rooster crows A LOT, but its not a big deal once you get used to it. And the hens give us lots of eggs! We get like anywhere from 5-13 eggs a day (during the heavy laying season which i think is like march to september).
Oh yeah, and OF COURSE the chickies are cute! Heehee you should see them in the awkward phase in between chick and grown chicken. They look so funny :-D

I'm content with playing WCIII every once in a while when I'm bored. I don't think its worth it to pay once a month to play a video game.
