So I get to revive a slightly old topic and post the first "Stuck" question at the same time. Yay me...

The Legend of Zelda - Outlands

I can NOT get past this screen. It's a "Lost Woods" type of screen where up, down, and left just loop to the other side. Right goes to another screen where I have to start over. I think that I need to exit at the top left to escape. The stairs just take me to the bottom exit again.

Could anyone help me?

EDIT: As of post time, I have the following equipment:

Blue Boomerang
Bombs
Bow/Arrow
Blue Candle
Flute
Meat
Red Potion
Raft
Ladder
Power Glove
Blue Suit
Big Shield
and 1 extra heart than was shown.

I have beaten these dungeons: 1,2,3,4, and 7. Hope this info helps.

You know what I hate? Hacks with "Lost Woods" like sections in them where you end up wandering around for hours and find out that you went nowhere at all... just like "Zelda - Outlands" and that area I posted about in "Stuck in Hack X - Romhacking Edition".

Which, by the way, hasn't been answered yet. Could one of y'all help me?

Funny, I've searched every accessible area to me. Even beat level 7 out of order. bombed every wall and flamed every bush but found nothing

Dammit! You stole my name for the Star World! (Mine was simply the Nexus).

On topic--that is one tasty overworld. You put a lot of thought into it. And I like symmetrical maps--the aesthetics are scientifically proven to be easy on the eyes that way. n00bish? I think not!

Thank you.

And on that submap with the dark gray land and the bridges: What's the theme of that world? (I just came back here after focusing on other things, so don't mind my random questions, y'know )

Subterranean Lake

The palette there is a bit dark. Is it possible to make custom palettes for the overworld? Again, I haven't hacked for 5 months and at this point I suck at OW editing, so bear with me, m'kay??

Should be able too, I like that pallete though. Makes sense when you're UNDERGROUND!

As the others have said, it looks great so far. Just a few tile-fit snafus to fix. Keep it up!

Thanks again. This is the first reply in 2 months... wow.

And to everyone, I'm working on this again. Screenies will come when I finish world 2. I was busy with schoolwork for the last two months.

Thanx. I would never have thought of that. I must have gotten my compass directions mixed up. That heart piece was useful.

Now if anyone could guide me to level 5...

An Intel Celeron Processor
No Internet connection
800x600 display

I was wondering if anyone could do me a favor...

Take this picture (tell me if you need more poses please):

And create a sprite in the style of the two bottom characters (ignore the skeleton) here:

Make it slightly larger than Bischke.

And, if you could, make one in SMW format (maybe the same size as the custom Bowser sprites found with SpriteTool) too please.

I have been having a problem with Tweaker.

I've tried to make a "Super Buzzy Beetle" that is invincible to Spin Jump and Cape, hurts to touch, and acts like a combination of the blue and yellow koopas (run fast, jumps over moving shells, and avoids ledges.) The only problem is that when I add all these extra bits, the GFX changes for some odd reason. Instead of using (for example) tile 0x30 and 0x31, it uses 0x30 and 0x40. Is there any way to fix this?

This is the Tweaker code: 0080291801CC8AFC

Here is what it looks like in Tweaker for those who may be able to answer immediately:

And here it is in-game:

Looking forward to that #207, now that you've "gadjiated" and have slightly more free time!

That's because it's using the Koopa Troopa tilemap. MikeyK didn't add tilemap support to this version of Tweaker. To give the sprite Buzzy Beetle tilemap, open your ROM in a hex editor, go to $9E91 and change 00 to 5A

--OR--

Download Mario World Reconfigurator and change Sprite 12's Graphic Byte 2 to 5A.

Thank you.

Yeah! I just had the last of my FAVORITE cookie, PB&J Flavor!

What kinds of cookies do y'all like? I may try making them and testing them out for myself.

(PS: I don't know exactly where to put this thread, so I puts it here in the fish forum)

How many MMO's do our fellow Acmlmers play?

I play 1: Myth War.

It's fun and best of all FREE!

So, how many here know of it, and the main question is: how many of you play WoW?

How many of you are looking forward to this movie?

I am, ever since the book came out! I hope to collect every last one of these on DVD one day... And the books as well. I've even considered adding a HP page to my website!

Who here even likes Harry Potter? That's what I should ask...

So I use an old PC. So what.

The thing is, should I consider upgrading, or just use it as-is?

It's an old Gateway Astro with a celeron processor and a 4gig HD. 64meg RAM max.

It can use my flash drive and the CD-Burner works sometimes, so I was wondering if it is still worth my time. Maybe someone else can shed some light on the subject...

So it's been said that Super Mario World 2000 is a bad name for a romhack. What should I name it???

I want it to sound a tad futuristic, but since I am so bad at naming things, I figured I could let you name it for me...

so what do you say?
