Posted by al2fenrir Well, mainly the issue is... If the ROM has a blank 200-byte header, that will affect the patching process and make the ROM screwy. Some SMRPG roms might have a header which just has the first 200 bytes "00" ____________________ AIM: WaddlerD 85 |

Posted by Gamma1227 If you're trying to claim that I used your hack as a base, this hack was almost entirely my work. The base that I had was the original Super Mario RPG rom with a removed header. Some of my friends' ideas may have implemented in the hack and Maticolotto assisted with the editing process by introducing me on how to use a hex editor and created some minor editors to make it easier. However, they haven't been publicly released though. Bowser should be Bowser and Mack isn't the Mackster. Sounds like your hack primarily got implemented with the rom. Also, it may be a coincidence that the EXP is the same but I'm currently balancing the hack one last time so that the hack remains with that edge of difficulty, but is also fair to players. Right now, I'm at the Sunken Ship in testing and when I'm sure that everything is working well, I'll release the final version to everybody. In regards to the level cap, I can certainly detail how it was done and what addresses you need to be aware of while increasing it. However, I still need to figure out some things, mainly regarding the Specials Menu and what level you'll learn your specials at... ____________________ AIM: WaddlerD 85 |
