That does not make sense.

You read something about C files. SMILE is a Visual Basic application. Its source is not in C files.

So. Cory has a bad Xbox experience, like many other owners of the Xbox do. Despite not having one of my own, I can imagine this experience to be very fucking frustrating. I saw a program on TV a while back about Microsoft not actually fixing the problems but just returning new, equally broken units so I have to agree on the "shitty operations".

When asked if others have been through the same, NightKev shifts the topic from the Xbox, a game console that they don't seem willing to un-break, to Windows, a PC operating system that has its faults in general, but with continuing attempts to fix.

Arbe calls Kev on it in his own dick-like way with some poorly thought out statements, Kev goes to town on said statements and the thread goes to Hell in a frilly pink handbasket.

At this point, users with handles like "KDE User X" can only make things worse.

This thread went circling down the drain at the first reply.

As for being "plagued by Microsoft's shitty operations", I'm happy to say that I for one have never been. Not specifically with Xboxes (since I don't own any) and not with MS in general

Okay, on the plus side, that -is- a Visual Basic file. On the minus side, if that was the problem it'd give a completely different error message about actually requiring MSMask32.ocx, not about a property value being out of range or otherwise unusable.

I just found the two stacks approach easier to implement on short notice. At least it works as designed, right? And it made sense when I visualized it while telling my friends about it.

I may look into that book/article later, it sounds like an interesting read.

Also, not to drift off-topic but what makes Fx3's forward/back buttons different from other browsers'? If you could tell me that in a PM...

Simple script to make a person say something:

loadpointer 0 (some offset)
callstd 4
end

Where "some offset" is a regular GBA pointer, pointing to a line of text. This compiles to the following byte stream:

0F (that offset), 09 04, 02

Pokémon scripting is not that complicated.

As for applications to do it with, I haven't exactly kept track. Push comes to shove, you can always do it by hand in a hex editor. I have a list of commands and their parameters if you want.

Edit: added command delimiters to the byte stream. Also note that different applications may have different command names. The script editor that comes with EliteMap is sorely outdated and has missing commands. Missing commands mess up the code, parsing parameters as more commands.

Warps are funky, I for one haven't figured them out completely yet. All I know is that there are several variants, and all but one of these take three bytes and two variables as parameters.

warp (25, 24, 255, 0x6, 0x8);

^ Actual statement from Ruby.

That's one interesting thing you should know: a lot of commands take parameters that are either variables or integer constants depending on the value being higher than 0x4000. So you could either set a variable to 25 and pass that var to givepokemon, or you could call it with parameter 25 directly.
