Thanks for the suggestion. It'll need a good place to put the score and such anyway, without obscuring the bullets.
As for the font, I'm open to suggestions. Edit: I also take scripts. If you can code an interesting pattern, please put it up here. I made the gameplay area somewhat square with a side bar. It also uses DejaVu as a font for readability.
I got the angle based movement in and all that, and it tracks the highest amount of frames you've survived (defaults to 9000). Holding shift in keyboard play lets you go a little faster, but that makes manouvering harder. Joystick support is in, and if it's analog input you can do the shift thing by pushing it all the way out. The bad news? I'd better not continue with this for a while and focus on OpenPoke. Just started using this thing. I must ask though... why is it left button pick up, right button place? I somewhat expected the opposite, which was in many other editors.
Edit: what the...? Sprite mode has it left button place instead! What's up with that?
