Two bytes an onscreen tile. Most of the bits are tile index, four for palette index, two for flip.

They go in a matrix of 32x32 for small, square maps and 32x64 for both tall and wide maps.

"Original 151" is just the monsters. The rest is complete.

So far, going by your list, we have the basic overworld and graphics systems down, scripting needs to be expanded a lot and I just need to add some incidental animations like grass being walked on and the little dust clouds when you hop. Stuff like that, basically.

Existing tools should work. I'm going through hoops to make the data match in format.

Not a problem for me. So far, all editors I made were Windows only and for little-endian systems like the GBA. Maybe later.

...but somehow, I think it'd be good to see if a nicer logo can be acquired before the first release.

Ofcourse, full credit will be given, as was the general idea when I wrote those lines in the license file in the first place.

So who's up for the challenge? Not much bigger than this one (or even the original PkMn logo) is, and preferably in sixteen colors (including transparant).

Bonus points for high-resolution or vector versions, but the main target here is the in-game version.

In Fire Red/Leaf Green... there is no tall grass in Pallet Town at all! In the original RGBY, there was indeed one tile of grass right there. Designating towns as safe areas is bullshit. Just surf along the edge of Cinnabar Island
