Well, allow me to indulge you.
From what I've seen, every single Mario platformer that wasn't on the Game Boy used an object list based level format. SMB1, 2, 3, SMW, YI... Even SM64 counts, to some degree. On the other hand, SML uses a stripe system if I remember correctly, and SML2 was a plain tile map. Note that the object list is rendered to a tilemap for actual gameplay. How else would you break bricks or collect coins when that strip of bricks/coins is one single "coin" object with a >1 width? So, in my frustration at apparently not being able to maintain proper proportions when drawing an entire animation (sprite or otherwise), I've decided to downgrade the game these sprites are for to 320x2something instead of double that.
This'll allow me to use my ample collection of console game sprites as bases, increasing consistency a lot. So without further ado... 
...the first few usable Cynthia sprites for a 320x2something resolution. Will redraw Haz, BH, KP and Dr. Insano at this scale and basic style later. Can you guess what the base game was?
